08/03/2026: Tucked in suburban Novara, Il Barone Birra is a great little escape. It is a short walk, however, from centro Novara. Great selection of beers with friendly assistance on selection. The "local" is small and intimate, however, noisy which made conversation difficult. One needs to book for dinner. Food was very good, however the meals did not come together. My only real criticism, despite booking, was that we as a family with adult kids were rushed through our meal and out the door because unbooked clients were waiting for a table to free up.

Excellent prices and great variety.
08/09/2025: A good selection of wines, especially the rosé, was delicious. The food is light, with generous portions and perfectly reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

22/01/2026: The staff was very rude to me and they insult me and kick me out when I already ordered my food just because I ask them for cotex to clean my own table by myself i was surprised I wanted to call the police but I just left calmly this was a very bad experience for me just incase someone else when there if can't sit on the dirty table then just change to another table don't try to help them by cleaning the table they might respond rudely or end of kicking you out but as for me maybe it's because of my background I don't recommend it for anyone

14/03/2026: We ate at Leonardo's restaurant in Dormelletto several times during our vacation and can highly recommend it. Whether pizza or pasta – everything was delicious and freshly prepared. We were also pleasantly surprised by the excellent value for money.
The service staff was always exceptionally friendly, attentive, and courteous. You truly feel welcome and well taken care of there.
We will definitely be back!

22/02/2026: I had a marinara pizza without garlic and with whole wheat dough, €9.50! When I asked why it was so expensive, I was told that the whole wheat dough cost €2 and the basil €1.50!! After I even had the garlic removed, and on the receipt it was marked as margherita, which costs more and not marinara, never again. They can rip off tourists, but not the people who live here who know what it means to eat pizza around here. I always get a pizza with tomato sauce, whole wheat dough and basil, €7 maximum, at every pizzeria, the most expensive ones. Pure madness, €9.50, never happened to me. Now I understand why the place is almost empty.

23/03/2026: Pleasant stay, clean restrooms, though not the most modern. Service was very friendly; only the midday driving ban (12:30 - 2:30 pm) was somewhat disruptive.
18/01/2026: For now I have only seen it from the outside because it was closed, but the location is excellent, I will return at Easter to visit it inside and if it is possible go there on holiday
