05/05/2025: The "calzone dish" which is the specialty of the place is excellent, given the goodness I also wanted to try a pizza with a ham, I must say this is also very good despite the dough being very thin, not like the classic Neapolitan pizza. The prices are also really low. I was pleasantly surprised 😊

28/04/2025: Having happened to pass through after a day at the nearby Vicolungo outlet, we decided to try this place, given the offer of typical dishes. The place is very nice and the owner welcomes you with a smile. We ate a scottona fillet that we will remember for a long time, a butter to be cut and cooked to perfection. The desserts were delicious, the fig and walnut tart was something special. Very recommended.

29/03/2025: Ottimo ristorante tipico con il gestore particolarmente simpatico e brillante. Piatti ottimi, materie prime di qualità e ambiente informale. Se passate in zona tappa obbligatoria. Una trattoria come deve essere, pochi fronzoli e tanta sostanza.

01/06/2025: Quando vieni qui ti vien voglia di comprare dolci e salati di ogni tipo.Siamo entrati per un caffè ma ogni volta torno a casa con brioches e altre cose.Bene così....consigliato.

30/05/2025: We came this Friday evening for an aperitif, unfortunately I notice a change in staff There is a lady in her 50s, plump, who served us after half an hour even though there were no people! The spritz were watered down, aperitif on the other hand was plentiful

30/04/2025: I went on Friday 25th April, you had to queue to get a table. There were 4 of us, I waited 10 minutes, but then they let us sit right away! We had the aperitif with a platter made by them, 5 varieties, small portions, 2 glasses of chips as in the photo and a non-alcoholic cocktail for 4, €10 each! They could put a little more like pickles, olives, gherkins, but now everyone is saving money. The cocktail wasn't bad (Island) But it was like lemon juice with some syrup but they ran out of it and didn't add it! 🤦‍♀️Then since I had asked for no ice they gave us the smaller glass to put less stuff in!!!

25/04/2025: Venue in the characteristic square of Arona in front of Lake Maggiore with also live music Excellent cocktails different from the usual ones with imagination and interesting combinations. (the traditional ones are still very good) All with a truly gourmet finger food aperitif. Highly recommended

26/05/2025: I was there for a live event. The place was packed. The food was as expected. Abundant dishes and fair prices. Beer served properly. Informal atmosphere with people who want to have fun. The only flaw was the service. Long wait and a bit confusing service. I understand that the place was packed but if you want to serve a lot of customers, a few more people cooking and serving wouldn't hurt!!!!!

23/03/2025: For a week we had the pleasure of staying in the hotel and having lunch and dinner at the restaurant, both highly recommended! Spacious and tidy rooms, recently renovated maintaining the original style of the building. The cleanliness was excellent, as was the comfort of the beds. The staff were courteous and kind. The restaurant is excellent for both a business lunch and dinner. The dishes are tasty and the variety is wide.

04/05/2025: Stopover between Switzerland and Italy 1 hour from the border. Very warm welcome, the dishes are good: pizzas, hearty spaghetti carbonara... Homemade dessert. Italian or German, some people also speak English.

15/05/2025: The restaurant is very well decorated, and they wanted to create a Western tavern feel with subdued lighting, which is far too dark for dining. Always full, it comes in and goes out! This means you eat in a cafeteria-like din. The food is good, but you can't wait to finish to escape the cafeteria-like noise.

12/05/2025: On the way back from the airport we stopped to eat here... Very well kept environment, ideal for children... very clean... bathroom included!! Such a varied menu to miss! I took a grilled fillet with medium-cooked potatoes...a sort of 1.5cm rare steak arrived...counted potatoes but good! Cesar salad plentiful but nothing exceptional... Note of demerit the coldness and dislike of the waitress.....

26/05/2025: I return, with great pleasure, in the evening for dinner, with the family, at the restaurant "La tramontana", managed by the always attentive and delightful Daniela and her staff. The beautiful stilt house has been revised as interior design, while maintaining its historic structure, lake view. The dishes, with Mediterranean cuisine, seafood and meat, remain tasty as the portions are generous, with an excellent quality / price ratio. The novelty is that you can view the menu on your mobile phone, via Qr score. A truly recommended place, also for the excellent pizzas, cooked in a wood oven, for the comfortable and airy location, for the rules against Covid-19 perfectly respected, for the great courtesy and excellent service. See you soon. I returned yesterday to Daniela and family for a magnificent dinner, as always everything was perfect. The only sore point is that they closed the lakefront terrace just before the summer season due to bureaucratic problems, it seems. A real shame since that terrace, in my opinion, is part of the territory I have always seen it and it is a shame not to be able to use it. For the rest Daniela and family and the restaurant "La Tramontana" always remain a great plus of the territory.
