26/02/2026: Perhaps one of the few places that has survived the years without losing its fame and soul. Excellent cuisine. Great opening hours, even for families. Fast and convenient service. I'll be back.

21/02/2026: A very family-friendly atmosphere, the quintessential pub for a beer and a casual atmosphere. Super friendly and helpful staff, cheerful and never rude. The food and drinks are good, the only drawback is the limited vegetarian options.

25/01/2026: We had lunch at this restaurant for a birthday. The appetizers were exceptional, with a wide variety of Piedmontese specialties. For my main course, I chose the braised cheek, which was truly delicious, and to finish, an excellent chocolate cake.

19/12/2025: The staff were friendly and service was prompt. The food was very good. I also enjoyed the wine, even though I'm not a wine connoisseur. Personally, I wasn't too convinced by the quantity, but since I was the only one in the team who thought so, that's probably my problem (I'm used to trattoria-style portions). Overall, recommended.

25/02/2026: The place is very nice, perhaps a little too bright. I might have preferred slightly more diffused lighting...but that's a matter of personal preference. The service, food, and wine were excellent. The only downside was that the door the waiters came out of was quite noisy, as it was obviously constantly open.

26/12/2025: Unfortunately, my Christmas lunch was an unpleasant experience. I called to ask if it was possible to have a vegetarian menu, possibly with fish, and the answer was no problem, in fact, I can indulge myself. The price of the menu was €60, drinks not included, and we were told that they would give us a discount... moral of the story: 4 courses that could have passed for vegetarians because they were on the normal menu with vegetables and cheese. I must point out that we, there were 3 of us, were not given the vegetarian menu. Our 3 friends were given the Christmas lunch menu like all the other diners. Instead of the crostini with salmon, we were given a raw artichoke salad, then risotto with pumpkin, which I didn't have because I'm intolerant. I had gnocchi with castelmagno cheese, as a second course, a vegetable burger with cooked vegetables, which I didn't want, and to finish, a slice of artisanal panettone... moral of the story: at the time of payment, €60. per person, when we mentioned the discount, the response was, "Well, it's Christmas!" So if because it's Christmas I have to spend the aforementioned amount to eat next to nothing, I'll go to a place where they have a vegetarian menu with the option of fish and spend €30/35 max...never again."

23/02/2026: It's 5 star. The food, the ambience, the location. I can say that it wasn't potluck for the one Sunday lunch I had because I have been going there for the last 25 years and I've never had a bad experience. I've seen this restaurant expand and grow and move a generation. They will be celebrating with much pride their 40th anniversary this year. This restaurant is famed for fish dishes but also do offer meat occasionally. Their menu is constantly updated and they offer a superb wine list. Everything is quality. I will never stop going to this restaurant which happens to be my favorite on Lago Maggiore.
