16/09/2025: We returned to the Langhe for the second time for a tasting at Vite Colte, and inevitably, I can't help but compare it to my first experience at another winery. Unfortunately, overall, this second visit was less convincing. But let's start with the strong points: the facility is truly splendid. The architecture is meticulously designed to guide visitors through the various stages of winemaking. The aesthetics evoke the region, both in its colors and in its references to Piedmontese tradition. The barrel room is undoubtedly the most evocative part and represents the true jewel of the winery. The guide was very kind and knowledgeable, especially regarding the facility and the general winemaking processes. A few questions about the wines currently being produced remained unanswered, but overall the explanation was clear. Perhaps due to the tight schedule, I found the visit a bit rushed: personally, I would have preferred a slower pace and more informal interaction. Moving on to the tasting, unfortunately, I was the biggest disappointment. I had purchased the package on Freedom, which included two Barolos, a Barbaresco, and a Nebbiolo. In reality, we were served a Barolo, a Nebbiolo, a Sauvignon Blanc, and a Barbera d'Asti. Furthermore, the explanation of the wines was given all at once, leaving us to taste them on our own, accompanied by a platter of excellent cured meats, cheeses, and breadsticks. A more engaging approach, with a guided tasting step by step, would have made the experience much more interesting. That said, I still recommend visiting Vite Colte: the place is truly worth it and leaves a lasting impression. With a little more attention to the tasting, it could be an unforgettable experience.

20/11/2025: The welcome wasn't the best... there were seven of us, having made a reservation by phone. The girl in the lobby, after asking in the dining room, made us wait in the bar area, telling us 10-15 minutes... the older man (meter or manager?) at a certain point shouted at her loudly, in front of all the guests, humiliating her with some rude language. I understand the Sunday chaos, but such a scene casts a bad light not only on the person, who appeared rude, overbearing, and sexist, but also on the place. It seemed like she should have seated us at the table right away, but in reality the girl was only following previously given orders. When we arrived in the dining room, the "meter" rudely pointed to our table, as if we were dogs waiting to be sat in a kennel. Luckily, the excellent waitress served us impeccably. The menu needs rethinking...a bit limited and unexplained...the braised beef, while good, arrived with reheated polenta (which I didn't like, and I wonder if I was celiac?) and boiled carrots that not even the hospital makes so overcooked and tasteless. The pasta and gnocchi were good, but the rabbit was too tough. The portions were just right. The dining room is drab...more like a cafeteria, and our seat near the kitchen was uncomfortable, with constant passing and tapping from the waiters, a screen attached to the chair... It's a shame we missed the view of Barolo due to the bad weather. I had high expectations when I booked, but overall it turned out to be a medium-low quality place with prices that were too high and not commensurate with what we found.

17/11/2025: A Piedmontese restaurant where you can enjoy typical regional cuisine. The menu isn't overly extensive, but the dishes are beautifully executed. The wine list is truly extensive and will satisfy all palates. I'll remember it for the extremely kind staff, as well as the excellent cuisine. I absolutely recommend it.

01/06/2025: Several times in the morning delicious cappuccino and espresso. Also good wines on the menu. Friendly staff. Nice little terrace with a view of Borgogno winery

24/05/2025: I went to Giulia and Anna's winery for an aperitif and I had a really good time: welcoming atmosphere, excellent selection of wines and impeccable service. Highly recommended!

26/05/2025: Una experiencia gastronómica verdaderamente memorable. La pasta era excepcional, llena de sabor y perfectamente preparada. La selección de vinos maridaba maravillosamente con la comida y mostró bien la región. El ambiente era cálido y elegante, por lo que es fácil relajarse y disfrutar. El servicio excepcional hizo que la noche se sintiera especial de principio a fin.

19/07/2025: Mussten etwas warten, aber dann netter und schneller Service. Wir warten zu 5 Leute und jeder hat was anderes bestellt. Alles kam zusammen.

30/06/2025: Simple sobre et efficace, très bon service et une belle carte de vins. Possibilité de prendre des amuses bouche par pièce. Tentez le combo c’est sympa ! Prix un peu touristique mais le cadre l’exige. Bonne adresse et en sortant passez voir le musée du tir-bouchons !

11/09/2025: We visited Barolo after a few years and once again chose Antico Caffè for a refreshment stop. The sandwiches are fabulous, as are the toasted sandwiches and cakes. The staff is incredibly friendly, and it's a real treat to find such welcoming, friendly, and professional people. We'll definitely be back!
