13/10/2025: Was so pleased with this experience in the beautiful hills of Piedmonte. The staff were so friendly and patient with all our questions. The rooms were charming and i especially loved the deep claw footed tub. And of course the food was amazing-Umberto and his staff go above and beyond to create flavors and meals that are beyond food but experiences of the beautiful land they source their ingredients from. Stayed at a four star hotel the next night and it didn't not even get close to matching the comfort, hospitality, and beauty of Casa Scaparone. So grateful we discovered this place and were able to make amazing memories here.

30/08/2025: We've known the winery and its wines since our last vacation, when our holiday home was practically next door. Today we enjoyed the wine bar in Alba. Such a special place to enjoy. The very friendly service is a real asset. The wines are exceptional, and the ambiance is impressive. Thank you.

05/10/2025: The place is really nice and clean. What perhaps struck me most was the idea of ​​donating the meat bones to the nearby animal shelter. At the center of the table, you'll find an invention by the owner, including oil, salt, and toothpicks with a hole at the bottom to insert the meat bones, which will be collected and donated to the nearby animal shelter. Both the staff and the owner are very kind, answering any questions in a professional and friendly manner. After you've sat down, you'll be given a list, and after choosing, you'll be invited to the counter where the owner will be waiting to explain the meat you've chosen, show it to you, and perhaps even offer some advice. I find all this very transparent and pleasant! We tried a tartare with parmesan shavings, egg yolk, and caramelized onion (EXCELLENT). The "bagase" with lard and raw ham on top (FANTASTIC). A tagliata with a side of jacket potatoes (VERY GOOD). The ribs with a side of baked potatoes. The baked potatoes are spectacular, but I personally wasn't satisfied with the ribs. I found them a bit fatty; I chewed them and the meatballs were in my mouth, making it difficult to swallow. For wine, a red Roero, which pairs perfectly with the meat. We'll definitely be back and I highly recommend it to you too!

07/10/2025: As an "expat" from Campania here in Alba, it's normal for me to have fairly high standards when it comes to pizza. Yet I've never been dissatisfied at La Duchessa. Their pizza is excellent, with excellent dough and excellent cooking. They're generous with the toppings, and they have a varied menu, from classic pizzas to more unusual ones. The staff works incredibly hard (especially during peak season) but always maintains a remarkable friendliness, despite the volume of work. The atmosphere is a bit noisy when the place is full, both inside and out, but nothing serious. The prices are very fair considering we're in the north; you can't expect pizza to be the same as in Naples or Salerno (and even there, prices skyrocket in some places). All in all, an excellent place with a family atmosphere; I'll gladly return again.

26/07/2025: Absolutely one of the best sushi places in the area! The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I can honestly say we've become regulars. I highly recommend trying the grilled sushi as well.

24/07/2025: I had dinner at this all-you-can-eat restaurant and I have to say I had a great time. The quality was good and the service was quick despite the restaurant being busy. The dishes were classic; I didn't find a wide selection, except for a few specialty dishes that could only be ordered once. Dinner cost around €30, including cover charge and drinks. Recommended, worth a try.

11/10/2025: Good, huh?! Special little items and traditional dishes, BUT they overcharge for them and the portions are tiny. Plus, the service is very slow.

16/10/2025: I think that were just unlucky this evening, since it seemed like an overall off-night. There might have been more interesting guests consuming wine. Food was okay, but overall underwhelming. Based on the food and service I cannot understand the overall ratings nor the price. We had been at dell'Arco and Petricore the same weekend and this was not even close. But then again, we all have an off-night and we might just have been unlucky. YMMV. 🤷🏻‍♂️

30/09/2025: Our visit to Ventuno in Alba was a truly wonderful experience. The food was outstanding: fresh, creative, and beautifully prepared, the dishes finely balanced and lovingly presented. The wines complemented the dishes perfectly. The hospitality wasn't the main focus, but it was still pleasant enough to round out the visit. Ventuno impresses above all with its excellent cuisine and modern, stylish atmosphere—a place that every food lover should definitely visit.

08/11/2025: This restaurant is a must-visit for us every year. Quality food and a carefully selected wine list. The young and friendly staff make you feel at home and welcomed. For us, they're number one in Alba. Congratulations!

08/11/2025: Tongue covered in salsa verde, meat flavor: not present. White truffle flavor/aroma on the agnolotti (declared 8-10g but I can't tell because the chef "ignored" the use of scales): not present. Dessert: nothing exceptional. In short, a mediocre meal. It all became clear to me when I saw some pots and pans for sale near the register. P.S. Look, the point isn't "deciding to put white truffle on the agnolotti." The point is knowing how to make them taste good, if you decide to serve them. You could have simply said no—a real chef does that, if a request doesn't meet his standards. But if you accept the order, serve it, charge for it, and then insult the customer, then the problem isn't my ignorance... but your presumption. And while we're talking about professionalism: when you declare "8-10 grams of white truffle," the scales aren't optional. Because if the measuring tool is "the chef's eye," then we're no longer talking about cooking, but about expensive improvisation. I haven't smelled truffle—neither on the nose nor on the palate—and that, in a dish from a restaurant that claims to be serious, should be enough of a reflection. I understand that it's easier for some to call an "ignorant customer" than to actually weigh what they're serving. But you see, that's the difference between a chef and an improviser: one accepts the comparison, the other justifies himself with insults. Besides, a restaurant that sells pans at the entrance is self-explanatory: perhaps they hope customers will go home and cook better. Regarding chatgpt, who writes reviews for me... I suggest you start using it by searching for the word CELIAC DISEASE so you can perhaps avoid your ignorance poisoning people... 😘

11/10/2025: We visited Hosteria dai Musi for lunch as a group of six and overall had a good experience. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive. We all ordered both primi piatti and secondi piatti, and while the meal started off excellent, there were a few small issues with the main courses. The primi piatti for everyone were absolutely delicious — beautifully cooked, full of flavor, and perfectly seasoned. You could really taste the quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail in the preparation. Unfortunately, the secondi piatti didn’t quite live up to the same high standard. Two of us ordered the tagliatelle with white truffle butter, with the option to add fresh white truffle on top. Since the dish already included truffle butter, they chose to have it without the additional truffle topping. However, the plates were served with normal butter and no truffle flavor at all, which was disappointing. Another guest ordered the brasato with mashed potatoes but requested it without truffle butter — it then arrived without any mashed potatoes either, which seemed like a simple misunderstanding but still affected the overall experience. Despite these small mix-ups, the food quality in general remains very high, and we know from past visits that Hosteria dai Musi can be absolutely fantastic. The flavors, presentation, and overall vibe of the place still make it worth recommending — especially for anyone who loves authentic, carefully prepared dishes in a relaxed and welcoming setting. Review from last visit: Wonderful restaurant. We had an absolutely amazing lunch at Hostarua dai Musi. The good was just phenomenal. We had a Vitello Tonnato as a starter and it was probably the best I have ever eaten. The tonnato was a bit mousse like and therefore very fluffy. The food in general was outstanding and I can highly recommend trying the Hostaria dai Musi when you’re visiting Alba.

21/09/2025: AVOID. Distressingly slow service: ignored for more than 20 minutes after closing the menus, while the room was half empty. And the oysters? Advertised "by the piece" on the menu, but refused once seated—only on a tray. A "Michelin restaurant" that only has a Michelin star in its label, certainly not in its service.

04/10/2025: Fabulous, everything is fabulous. The staff are friendly, the dishes are exquisite, especially the fresh pasta. It's no coincidence that it's a favorite among the locals from Alba. Well done, really, very well done!

20/06/2025: I was on holiday in Alba and there was a cozy Caffe al n 4 near my house. Friendly and hospitable owners. Delicious cappuccino and fantastic pear cake. An opportunity for a tasty and cheap lunch. I highly recommend it.

05/06/2025: I give 5 to everything, kind and friendly staff, excellent bottled beers and spritz that to call generous is an understatement, crazy, I would go back every night!!
