04/04/2024: I had lunch following reviews but I was a little disappointed in the rustic setting the menu was hand written on greasy paper the staff were friendly The starter was good but poor the tajarin was poorly seasoned Castelmagno gnocchi the flavor was good but the gnocchi were overcooked the braised meat was a little fibrous the wine was excellent and the bitter sin of not having received the receipt, I will not return

20/03/2024: A great Pizzeria address in Alba. I've lived in Alba for 10 years and I just discovered this pizzeria 2 days ago. It is not visible because it is hidden in a perpendicular street. It's really a very good address. I confirm that the dough is well cooked and therefore easily digestible, the dough is not too big and the pizzas are well garnished. The service is also good. What I find interesting is that it is open for lunch every day except Tuesday, which is rare! The other positive point is that there are several fish dishes, for example the misto fritto is great. I really recommend this address. Little tip for the owner: please add non-alcoholic beer to the drinks menu!

17/03/2024: I love this place! Stumbled upon it my first time in Alba and make a point to visit every time I come back. They have truly craveable pastas, really reasonable local wines by the glass and carafe, and a slightly funky, fun atmosphere.

05/04/2024: I'm writing this review because I'm overstimulated by your automatic messages that someone must have sold to you as digital marketing: in all respects a hassle. In fact, since I booked (among other things forced to leave personal data that not even the INPS asks for) I have received continuous notifications on my cell phone and email that made me think of big brother. Now, after coming to you, here comes the request for a review, here it is. Despite the kindness of the staff, I believe that there is still a gap to be filled between what is desired and what is real. We arrived a few minutes before the booking time (and already, 3 notifications had arrived) but the waiter explained to us the philosophy of the place, relaxation. Unfortunately, boredom does not coincide with the concept of relaxation. After more than quarters of an hour in which we all had ample time to decide on the dishes... we were forcibly seized to be taken to the meat counter to endure the phlegmatic presentation of the waiter who, as if at a Vanna Marchi sale but much less fun, it gives us a series of additional dishes to those we actually wanted to order at the table. Great sales ability, you say? Well, it all adds up, I say, relaxation also means choosing everything you want to eat without discomfort. Then, after more time at the table, it's the kitsch moment, the steak is brought to the table and the place changes appearance, as if UFOs had landed, or more sadly, as in 90's discopubs, the lights go out and the lasers come on which focus on the eyes of all the diners, the place is smoked with fake smoke (ruining one of the positive aspects of the restaurant i.e. that the grill does not produce smoke and odors in the room) the owner, as if he were a fire eater, does his utmost in flaming the steak, seriously endangering the ability to breathe inside as well as setting fire to a room made mainly of wood. This show was followed by the presentation of the history of the owner's family... another kidnapping to attend a show that no one asked for... and always at our expense... Was it worth it, you ask? Well, we had some ribs and a rib-eye. Well, the ribs had no taste at all and the ribeye was also a real disappointment. Probably the quality of the meat was good but they had no taste. Truly exaggerated prices for a place that should respect its soul: a popular restaurant pub with attention to some details. Given the owner's response, I would like to ask that my personal information be permanently eliminated from your lists. Thank you

14/03/2024: Nomen omen: abbiamo pranzato in quest'enoteca di domenica dopo grandi temporali, ed è stato memorabile. Il menu, perfettamente adattabile anche a palati vegetariani, è insieme raffinato e famigliare: curato nei minimi dettagli, tanto i piatti salati quanto i dolci sono tanto gradevoli alla vista quanto al gusto. Menzione d'onore per i tuorli fritti e la semisfera al bunet (ma anche la pannacotta al miele - senza addensanti, alla vecchia maniera - è notevolissima). La carta dei vini e la mescita sono nettamente al di sopra della media, pur in un contesto di eccellenza come le Langhe: in ogni calice traspaiono la passione per il vino e l'amore per la ricerca. Consigliamo ai bevitori più curiosi - ma anche agli esigenti - di affidarsi ai suggerimenti dello staff, non vi deluderanno!

Service: ⭐️ wine by the glass, altered by probable poor storage (the bottle of Nebbiolo from which it was served was at the bottom) was acidic. Reported, the response was, in the exact words: "we don't do it, and taste is subjective.." Environment: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Nice place in the center of Alba located entirely underground in the foundations of a historic structure. The fact that they are not responsible for the products they serve and the total lack of "good taste" in changing wine and counting it at the time of payment leads to assigning one star.
