08/11/2025: Tongue covered in salsa verde, meat flavor: not present. White truffle flavor/aroma on the agnolotti (declared 8-10g but I can't tell because the chef "ignored" the use of scales): not present. Dessert: nothing exceptional. In short, a mediocre meal. It all became clear to me when I saw some pots and pans for sale near the register. P.S. Look, the point isn't "deciding to put white truffle on the agnolotti." The point is knowing how to make them taste good, if you decide to serve them. You could have simply said no—a real chef does that, if a request doesn't meet his standards. But if you accept the order, serve it, charge for it, and then insult the customer, then the problem isn't my ignorance... but your presumption. And while we're talking about professionalism: when you declare "8-10 grams of white truffle," the scales aren't optional. Because if the measuring tool is "the chef's eye," then we're no longer talking about cooking, but about expensive improvisation. I haven't smelled truffle—neither on the nose nor on the palate—and that, in a dish from a restaurant that claims to be serious, should be enough of a reflection. I understand that it's easier for some to call an "ignorant customer" than to actually weigh what they're serving. But you see, that's the difference between a chef and an improviser: one accepts the comparison, the other justifies himself with insults. Besides, a restaurant that sells pans at the entrance is self-explanatory: perhaps they hope customers will go home and cook better. Regarding chatgpt, who writes reviews for me... I suggest you start using it by searching for the word CELIAC DISEASE so you can perhaps avoid your ignorance poisoning people... 😘

06/10/2025: Beautiful, tastefully and elegantly furnished restaurant in the center of Alba. The intimate and relaxing atmosphere is perfect for enjoying the excellent, unique menu, a true explosion of flavors. To top it all off, the service is top-notch!!! A must-try!

20/06/2025: I was on holiday in Alba and there was a cozy Caffe al n 4 near my house. Friendly and hospitable owners. Delicious cappuccino and fantastic pear cake. An opportunity for a tasty and cheap lunch. I highly recommend it.

11/10/2025: We visited Hosteria dai Musi for lunch as a group of six and overall had a good experience. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive. We all ordered both primi piatti and secondi piatti, and while the meal started off excellent, there were a few small issues with the main courses. The primi piatti for everyone were absolutely delicious — beautifully cooked, full of flavor, and perfectly seasoned. You could really taste the quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail in the preparation. Unfortunately, the secondi piatti didn’t quite live up to the same high standard. Two of us ordered the tagliatelle with white truffle butter, with the option to add fresh white truffle on top. Since the dish already included truffle butter, they chose to have it without the additional truffle topping. However, the plates were served with normal butter and no truffle flavor at all, which was disappointing. Another guest ordered the brasato with mashed potatoes but requested it without truffle butter — it then arrived without any mashed potatoes either, which seemed like a simple misunderstanding but still affected the overall experience. Despite these small mix-ups, the food quality in general remains very high, and we know from past visits that Hosteria dai Musi can be absolutely fantastic. The flavors, presentation, and overall vibe of the place still make it worth recommending — especially for anyone who loves authentic, carefully prepared dishes in a relaxed and welcoming setting. Review from last visit: Wonderful restaurant. We had an absolutely amazing lunch at Hostarua dai Musi. The good was just phenomenal. We had a Vitello Tonnato as a starter and it was probably the best I have ever eaten. The tonnato was a bit mousse like and therefore very fluffy. The food in general was outstanding and I can highly recommend trying the Hostaria dai Musi when you’re visiting Alba.

21/09/2025: AVOID. Distressingly slow service: ignored for more than 20 minutes after closing the menus, while the room was half empty. And the oysters? Advertised "by the piece" on the menu, but refused once seated—only on a tray. A "Michelin restaurant" that only has a Michelin star in its label, certainly not in its service.

09/11/2025: We haven't ordered a place but the manager made his effort and find us a table for an hour. They are so friendly and let you feel comfortable. The pizza was good, the gnocchi was too cheesy but still 5/5

08/11/2025: I went to this restaurant for lunch today with friends, and I have to say our experience was truly excellent. I recommend the fondue flan and the fantastic tajarin with black truffle. The service was reliable and the wait staff were friendly. The prices were slightly lower than average. Highly recommended.

10/11/2025: In the center of Alba, a charming place that combines Cilento and Piedmontese food and wine experiences. Everything is excellent, but special mention goes to the cavatielli with tomato sauce and ricotta cheese, the parmigiana, and the plum tart. Excellent hospitality and fair prices. Maria Giovanna

09/11/2025: I booked for 1:45 PM. I arrived 5 minutes early, so I went in to say I was outside waiting for my table to be ready. The owner didn't even say hello, just turned around and left. I waited outside for 15 minutes. When I returned, I politely asked how long I had to wait. She replied in an aggressive tone, saying she didn't know what to do, and that I could just leave. I think I need to change jobs and learn some manners. Thanks anyway!

31/10/2025: Finally, a real, contemporary #pizzeria! A very beautiful and modern place in the heart of #alba The place offers 6 different types of #dough and therefore 6 different products. From classic #pizza to various pseudo-focaccias, crunchy, crumbly, or soft, etc... We had the pizza regina, which is their version of the #pizzamargherita, and a crunchy one with #prosciuttocrudo and #burrata. Let's start with the #pizza, which is definitely excellent, especially for the truly high-quality ingredients and the excellent cooking. The dough rises beautifully; I found it to be halfway between a Neapolitan and a whole wheat pizza. I liked it, even though classic, well-made pizzas surpass it. Kudos to the croccante, on a much higher level. The dough rises well and is just the right amount of crunch, not too much, but just enough to make it enjoyable. Top ingredients, the #ham is exceptional and made the difference; I'd buy it again. This place also offers various #puff pastry #desserts, as the dough is at the heart of the project. We had a #gianduia #nyroll and a pistachio #saccottino. Incredible nyroll, perfect dough, soft and just the right amount of sweet with a devastating gianduia cream. The #saccottinio rose perfectly, the pistachio cream was good, but two notches below the roll. I would try the #singleportions, they looked amazing. The staff was absolutely friendly and knowledgeable and accommodated our various needs. If you come to Alba, you can't miss this place! 01/11/2025: The food quality was poor for the price. We were served a plate of tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms that was the equivalent of pasta with butter. When we pointed this out, we sent the plate back, and were completely ignored. For two appetizers and two first courses, a half bottle of wine and two coffees, €90. Really too much.

31/10/2025: We were delighted with our meal; the fried eggs and tagliatelle were truly enhanced with white truffle! A real treat. To finish, we enjoyed a black truffle panna cotta! A restaurant that deserves to be better known, although it was practically full tonight!

17/10/2025: During a motorcycle tour, we stopped for a snack at this place, where you can enjoy various types of focaccia, which you can eat on the spot. The selection is excellent, from sweet to savory, you're spoiled for choice. The sweet focaccia, with raisins and turmeric, is a specialty. We'll definitely be back.
