A small trattoria just steps from the square that doesn't look like much from the outside but is definitely worth discovering! Simple yet delicious dishes, truffles for those who enjoy them, good wines, and decadent desserts. The service is attentive, pleasant, and warm. A great find in Alba.

I found the food excellent. The only thing that was a bit expensive was the boiled meat.

I had lunch with my wife on Saturday, February 7th. The welcome was friendly, the staff young and elegant, dressed in dark uniforms. The atmosphere was refined, yet with a mix of styles that couldn't be described as a typical Piedmontese trattoria. The ingredients were certainly high-quality, but I didn't experience the sensations I would have expected from a more traditional dish. The appetizer was very fresh raw meat, which didn't seem to have been hand-carved. The tongue in salsa verde was excellent. Two tajarin pasta dishes, served in a nice little pan, were generous portions, the second dish featuring a three-meat ragù and truffle shavings, and the quality was average. The Bonet con amaretto was very good. Two glasses of good-quality Nebbiolo. The price was average. I gave it three stars because I didn't feel immersed in the atmosphere of traditional Piedmont. I would like to point out that in a place that boasts the name "Trattoria del Bollito," this dish should be served from a trolley with the various cuts made fresh: this is the reason we ordered other dishes. The tables are too close together, and you eat elbow-to-elbow with other diners. I don't think I'll be back. It's a shame that only 5-star or one-star reviews are commented on. I believe that reviews that politely highlight areas for improvement should be acknowledged. March 29, 2026. I see that today, after a long time, an offensive comment has been added to my review. It wasn't offensive at all, but it highlighted positive aspects of the place and aspects that, in my opinion, could be improved. It's unfortunate that at Trattoria del Bollito, constructive criticism isn't accepted and that people react rudely....

Rarely do you find such care in selecting the cuts and cooking the meats: Excellent quality: Tender meats that melt in your mouth. Accompaniments: Impeccable traditional sauces (green and red sauce). Quantity: The portions are more than generous. A Word of Advice for Navigators A little warning for newcomers: the cuisine's generosity is such that, if you decide to start your meal with one of the excellent house appetizers (perhaps Alba-style raw meat or classic tajarin), finishing the boiled meat dish will be a challenge for even the most heroic palates. It's a cuisine that doesn't skimp on flavors or portions, making it almost impossible to get to dessert. The Verdict: A place where quality meets true abundance. A delightful atmosphere, courteous service, and a quality-price ratio that is rare these days. Sunday lunch, despite a terrible day, we relaxed at the restaurant. Excellent service, the dishes lived up to our expectations, very generous. Remarkable wine list. We'll be back. Kudos to Giada, who made us feel at ease🤗.

A discovery! We went to this place with friends to try boiled meat for the first time. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the ingredients, including the first courses. We also tried the first courses, in addition to the boiled meat. What can I say? The staff were very welcoming, courteous, and professional (not at all consistent with some of the negative reviews we've seen). This job is certainly not easy, and you can tell they do it with a lot of passion and dedication to customer satisfaction. We asked for advice on the wine because, not being local, we didn't know what to choose, and we found their knowledge in explaining and advising us to be excellent! The place was clean! (Which is not a given). Excellent value for money! Upon leaving, they offered us a piece of chocolate, a treat that definitely makes a difference to the customer! What more can I say? Congratulations for the welcome and professionalism! Congratulations to all the staff! We'll be back soon.

I had the pleasure of having lunch at the Trattoria del Bollito, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. The place is very welcoming, as is the young staff. The food was excellent, from the trio of appetizers to the exceptional boiled meat, and to finish off with a complimentary piece of gianduia. A bonus for the super original and extensive wine list! What can I say... we can't wait to return.
