07/10/2025: A truly wonderful discovery! It was recommended to us by the receptionist at the hotel where we stayed. Located practically on the beach, the building doesn't look like much from the outside, but upon entering, we were greeted with kindness and friendliness, and the place blends in perfectly with the surrounding landscape. The service was quick and the food excellent.

10/09/2025: The food is okay, but the service is terrible... the kids' food arrived when everyone else was already finished and ready to pay, and instead of apologizing, the waiter snapped at us: "We're in Italy, so I'll speak Italian to you." They acted like they didn't understand us when we asked about our food. They were confused and unfriendly from start to finish. We've been there ten times, but the service is completely new. Unfortunately, this was the last time.

09/09/2025: We went to Grigolo for dinner with friends, three hungry souls, one of whom was gluten intolerant. A detail that, it seems, threw the entire dining room staff into a tailspin. The service? A tragicomic ballet of four waiters, each with their own style of unpreparedness. We had to push repeatedly for plates, napkins, and even attention. At a certain point, we thought we were invisible, or perhaps part of a social experiment. The highlight? Ordering gluten-free gnocchi, which magically transformed into long pasta. The waiter, with the confidence of a dice-roller, announced: "They should be gluten-free." When asked for clarification, the staff showed the same bewilderment as those who have just discovered they've lost their passport at the airport. The three dishes arrived at different times, as if the kitchen were an escape room and each course a test to be passed. One of the dishes was supposed to have chopped pistachios: none arrived. After a long wait, we were handed a small plate with just the sprinkles. We made our own garnish, because at Grigolo, we believe in customer autonomy. We expressed our complaints to the manager, who enlightened us with a pearl of wisdom: "If the kitchen gives me the dishes one at a time, I'll bring them to you one at a time." At that point, we asked if the kitchen was managed by the restaurant or if they relied on our own kitchen, just to see if it was our fault.

23/08/2025: Typical Livorno food, not bad (except for the fried food).... Very basic atmosphere, but that's fine (but maybe clean the chairs every now and then?... They're plastic, take a good sip and go!!) The main problem is the confusing service: no menu, much less a wine list... you ask for one type of wine and they bring another... but with a small child at the table, even if two nearby tables order the same thing, you have to serve the one that arrived first and not the one that makes you take fewer steps with the plates in your hand, and above all, the little ones' orders first, since the adults can wait anyway... What a shame!!

20/08/2025: Terrible appetizer, decent first course, then pray, because of the three second courses ordered, not even one arrived, try because they ran out, the fact is that after a good hour, we preferred to ask for the bill and leave.

22/09/2025: The service was very friendly and chatty, which made the visit pleasant. However, the restaurant didn't impress me in terms of food – the dishes were unfortunately too fatty and difficult to digest.

22/09/2025: Everything was excellent, but the grilling of the swordfish and squid had to be repeated. The fish must be well-cooked on the grill.

17/08/2025: Although I hate to give such a low review, I have to give it 1 star. Tonight we wanted to eat pizza with the family, and we decided to try Neccio. We called and ordered five pizzas for takeout, to eat them at home with the family. I got to the pizzeria on time with the reservation, but my dad waited about 45-50 minutes for the pizzas. We paid full price for all five, despite the long wait, and even though the pizzas were pretty awful (to add insult to injury, I'd give the pizzas a 5/10 at most...). Even though it was hot, the crust was rubbery and the mozzarella was almost untouchable... (I'm talking about the Margherita). The white pizza with mushrooms was *slightly* better. I'm very disappointed.. 🫤

17/08/2025: Takeout pizzas; truly poor quality. The dough wasn't rolled out well and wasn't evenly cooked; let alone the poor quality of the tomato and mozzarella I tasted. The dough was also rubbery and tough. The order was prepared late by about 45-60 minutes; this delay forced me (due to unstable commitments) to eat around 11:30 PM, which was when I finally got rid of what I couldn't move.

13/09/2025: Normally zero stars!!!! I can only advise everyone to stay well away from this place. Unfriendly staff, not all items on the menu are actually available, convenience food at inflated prices. The meal for three people came "staggered." My salad was forgotten. As I recall, the inslata mista, consisting of Lidl bags of mixed salad and six halved tomatoes, was slammed next to my now-empty main course plate, naturally without apology. Even our dog, with whom we were supposed to share the "culinary delights," turned away in disgust. All in all, we could have just thrown the money down the drain, and our standards are certainly not high.

02/09/2025: Terrible experience. Out of four appetizers, two were missing. The first course was only eaten because I was hungry. gnocchi with shrimp? Where were they? Perhaps still in the sea. I had hidden a microscopic shrimp among the gnocchi, which were shamefully topped with cream. The second course, cod, was three fried pumpkin slices, but they were frozen... just batter. So... two first courses, a second course, three fried flowers, just water, no dessert, and no coffee for the modest sum of €52. Never to be repeated.

29/09/2025: Having been a loyal customer for years, I often go to this delightful restaurant, even several times a week in the summer. For this reason, today I was a little disappointed with our spaghetti with clams. It lacked flavor and was too creamy. I hope there's a reason for this. We've always eaten excellently, and the service is very good, friendly, and helpful. I just wanted to say be careful...you can't let your guard down. In any case, I'll be back soon! I won't give up my favorite restaurant. Good luck!

21/09/2025: Terrible service, they do not care, they are complacent because they are in the center of the piazza. Other places nearby are SO much better, friendly, good menus, they are happier you are there.

14/09/2025: I had the spaghetti with clams. The dish was generous with both clams and pasta, but lacked flavor. The service was okay. The setting was beautiful!

19/08/2025: Beach like flies 20 centimeters from one to the other really bad they even make you pay for water to wash your feet incredible

11/09/2025: Very expensive restaurant, I'll just tell you about a risotto costing 25 euros (I was completely wrong to go there, I wanted a normal fish risotto but they don't make it, they make this rice with cheese, butter and just a hint of gurnard fish flavour), a dessert costing 10 euros, well I won't be going back.

08/09/2025: Beautiful restaurant by the sea... Seriously... By the sea... A little further and the splash of the waves arrives... Beautiful view with a warm and welcoming atmosphere... Excellent dishes with fresh fish and simple, unpretentious recipes. The service is attentive and the staff very friendly.

28/09/2025: Wonderful, outdoor seating, perfect for summer. Exceptional dishes, both meat and seafood. The owner is old-fashioned, gruff but very friendly. Excellent service, superb chefs—that's how many restaurants should be.
