13/04/2025: Qué gran alternativa a la pasta / pizza en el corazón de Florencia. El Wonton Piccante era un entrante perfecto y la sopa de ternera / champiñones me recordó a un dulce y picante Burria ... Algunos de los mejores alimentos chinos que he probado... Haz una reserva segura.
10/04/2025: Purtroppo le foto non rendono giustizia ai piatti, ma la proprietaria Lisa ha dato vita a un locale davvero unico!
Un fusion di cucina cinese e toscana (il manzo al pepe nero è un chiaro riferimento al nostro peposo), dove ogni sapore è bilanciato e scelto con cura, e il cui risultato è stato una bellissima sorpresa.
Ovviamente una nota di merito anche al servizio (cortese e preciso) e all'atmosfera molto suggestiva.
Insomma, ci porteremo i nostri amici quando vorremo essere sicuri di fare bella figura 🥰

06/06/2025: End of school year party, pizza round menu: after an hour 5 pizzas arrive at the children's table (about 20 children), after another 20 minutes 6 pizzas arrive at the parents' table (about people). and so on for another round.. The girl tells us that the oven is small and we have to be patient (that's fine although, in my opinion, if you can't handle such a number avoid taking these tables. Tonight we were 2 classes plus the tables) I wait a bit and then I get up and go to see the oven: the two pizza chefs and do nothing and the owner who justifies herself by saying "we brought the pizzas to everyone". At this point I raise my voice a bit and simply tell her that if for them the service is over they can bring us the bill and at least we are free to go to dinner somewhere else. Magically in less than 10 minutes about ten pizzas arrive! In addition to this they made us pay for the last 2 "special" pizzas and the boxes with Nutella separately. I won't go into more detail because it would be pointless! I don't think I'll ever eat there again, but I promise that if I ever have to go back and find the same service I'll have Delivero come and deliver the pizzas!

18/05/2025: It had been more than twenty years since we went there, unfortunately the disappointment was huge!...
The food was tasteless and not up to the price, the place very dated.. and the service a bit awkward.
Too bad, because once upon a time going to eat at Polveriera meant going to a top place and you came away satisfied and happy. It would have been better to leave it in our memories...!!
14/05/2025: We were here with a tour group this evening and had an excellent meal!
This restaurant has an amazing view of the city.
Service was fast and efficient.
Every course was excellent.
I would especially call out the farro soup. It is new to me and I really enjoyed it.
Could not be more pleased with this establishment!

06/07/2025: We went to dinner at this beautiful restaurant for a couple's evening and the experience was simply perfect. A really beautiful little place, with a quiet and pleasant atmosphere that allowed us to enjoy every moment.
The menu is a celebration of quality. We started with two exquisite appetizers: Cantabrian anchovies with French butter and caramelized onions, a very successful combination, and a stuffed squid of incredible tenderness and delicacy, a dish that alone is worth the visit. We continued with a simply wonderful fried squid and prawns, accompanied by an excellent glass of white wine. You could feel the freshness and the very high quality of the raw materials in every course.
We ended on a sweet note with a homemade cheesecake and crème brûlée, both splendid.
A special mention goes to the service: the waiters were nothing short of IMPECCABLE. Attentive, professional and courteous, they helped make our dinner perfect.
Highly recommended for those looking for great food, a relaxing atmosphere and good service. We will definitely be back!

We ordered two delicious first courses and a fish tempura with vegetables, which we ordered seconds of because it was so good.
To accompany the fish, we chose Ansonica, a native white wine from Elba Island.
A welcoming atmosphere with background music. Impeccable service.
Highly recommended.

14/08/2025: I visited this restaurant overlooking the canals with my daughter. It's perhaps in the most picturesque spot in Livorno's Venice district, near the fish market and a short walk from the Fortezza Vecchia and the ferry terminal. Even though I visit Livorno often, I was curious to dine in this little corner of Livorno. The view is spectacular, with the sunset to the west overlooking the sea and the interior looking out toward the canals. Everything was lovely, but beyond the setting, it was the courtesy of the girls and the truly excellent quality of the food that made it my new go-to place when I'm back in Livorno. Congratulations, keep up the good work, and thank you for the pleasant evening spent with my Princess.

Alas, update a month later...
I returned about a month later (August 2025) with my partner, remembering the wonderful experience the previous time, which I described above.
I had rated everything 5 stars, but this second time, the experience was, for half the dishes, simply "terrifying," leading me to lower the rating to 2 stars.
Let me explain...
We ordered a mussel sauté, which arrived as delicious as the previous time, also stuffed with a giant prawn.
To drink, we ordered a half liter of the house white wine, which was served in a bottle holder with melted ice. Therefore, after our first glass, we realized that the wine was almost room temperature... (about 30 degrees that evening).
We asked to refill the bottle holder with ice, but even then, it returned more cold water than ice.
Let's move on...
We ordered two first courses: linguine with clams and bottarga and a plate of spaghetti with clams.
The dishes looked interesting, but we later realized they were very salty, but overly so, and that one of the dishes had no trace of bottarga, and that the lemon pesto was apparently just lemon juice mixed with breadcrumbs (I think).
But it was the clams that really made us jump.
Of the approximately 50 clams each that formed the base of the dish (like lupini beans—we certainly weren't expecting true clams...), on my plate I counted 8 open clams and over 40 closed, dead ones, meaning they hadn't opened during cooking.
I wonder how whoever cooked that evening, while sautéing the pasta with the sauce, couldn't have noticed this, or rather, sent two servings of dead clams to the table, because,
in fact, we were served two first courses seasoned with closed clam shells!
When asked if everything was fine, I replied "well," leaving it up to the person returning the dishes to evaluate the eight open clams, neatly arranged in a radial pattern on the shell dish, compared to how many closed ones we'd left on our plates.
But then again, the dishes were incredibly salty, unlike anything I've ever eaten before.
I'm not the type to send dishes back to the kitchen, and I've eaten in "the worst bars in Caracas," but that evening, perhaps we should have done so because, always with politeness and respect for the work of others, a little criticism helps everyone improve.
A real shame, I hope due to a lapse in the kitchen that evening, because the place is worth it, the prices are attractive, and the staff is very courteous and friendly.
I hope to return soon to update the review.
13/08/2025: The cacciucco wasn't made with the fish called for in the Livorno recipe, the paccheri with blue crab seemed to be seasoned with the same sauce as the cacciucco, the fried anchovies weren't crispy, and neither were the French fries. A complete disappointment.

05/07/2025: We were taken there by friends and it has become one of our favorite restaurants.
Dishes made with quality raw materials and cooked with skill.
The tuna, grilled with escarole is a real delight. The spaghetti with clams is delicious, as is the fried calamari.
The pizza is also very very good.
The owner is a very nice and cultured person.
An honorable mention for the lady, the owner's wife, kind and perfectionist. She is the creator of amazing desserts... the panna cotta is an absolute must!
01/04/2025: Nothing, there's just nothing right here! The food is unfortunately of a low standard and they charge dearly. They are rude in everything as they are with the waiters. In the kitchen all foreigners are underpaid. I don't recommend it

15/07/2025: This restaurant was already tried under the previous management, especially for its splendid location on the beach. The current experience is terrible. The wait times are very long (an hour for a simple pasta dish for a child) and the prices are very high (12 euros for the aforementioned simple pasta dish).
13/07/2025: Chosen at random... I was a bit skeptical given the reviews, but I'm happy to give it 5 stars. The place and location are incredible, with a breathtaking sunset over Portoferraio. There was a small initial mix-up with the wine, but it was quickly resolved brilliantly. We had two excellent starters, very good wine, and a gin and tonic and sgroppino to finish the evening, all of which were excellent. The bill isn't exactly cheap, but it's justified given the location.

03/08/2025: The location and view are truly beautiful. The restaurant is well-maintained and well-kept. The waiters are very polite and efficient, always ready to answer any questions and fix even the most trivial mistakes. The food is truly delicious. I highly recommend the Elba-style octopus, the crab gnocchi, the grilled prawns, the tuna steak, and the cacciucco! Excellent dishes, with reasonable portions and prices considering the average prices found in restaurants these days! Highly recommended!

il calore e la simpatia con cui si viene accolti è difficile trovarla da altre parti
il cibo ricercato e particolare (se vuoi mangiare la classica pasta con i frutti di mare non è il posto per te)
ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo
l'unico problema di questo posto è che quando lo provi non lo lasci più
noi abbiamo anche fatto il nostro pranzo di nozze dove siamo stati coccolati e serviti come se fossimo stati in famiglia
