14/03/2026: We stopped by chance at a small, elegantly decorated, clean restaurant with excellent service. A wide selection of wines, a menu of both meat and seafood, and inviting, unpredictable dishes from start to finish. We ordered a Tuscan tortello with meat ragù, which was tasty and balanced, and a salmon tarar with citrus fruits, absolutely fantastic, fresh and tender, accompanied by a delicious, unique sauce. We then shared an exceptional dish that I highly recommend, and the boiled seafood left me speechless... I've never had such a delicious dish, and if I had to rate it, it would get my 10. We then finished with a chocolate tenerina served warm with a raspberry sauce. This course was also well-rounded, balanced, and delicious. Two glasses of red wine. Two coffees, too, left nothing to chance, accompanied by delicious homemade cookies. High-quality cuisine, fresh ingredients, refined and unpredictable cuisine, excellent value for money. Highly recommended, we'll be back.

04/05/2026: Promote the floor. Rethink the management. Here, the front-of-house staff is exceptional—warm, intuitive, genuinely passionate about the guest experience. They don't just do their job; they embody the mission of hospitality. From the moment you walk in, they make you feel like your presence truly matters. That's rare, and it deserves to be highlighted. Which makes the gap with management all the more glaring. As I approached the entrance, the manager was sitting outside and responded to a simple question about whether the establishment was open with a rhetorical flourish rather than an answer. No greeting. No yes. A power play. An effortless display of dominance, typical of someone who mistakes withholding information for exercising authority. It wasn't ambiguous. There was no gunshot. It was a choice—and it immediately revealed someone more concerned with feeling important than with delivering value. Meanwhile, inside, the servers were doing an amazing job. No laptops. No territorial claims on an empty terrace. Just genuine hospitality, delivered instinctively and consistently. They understood the "why" of this profession far better than the person officially in charge. The title doesn't make the leader—it's the impact that counts. And here, the impact is entirely driven by those without the title. Excellent food, an incredible team, held back by mediocre management. Invest in the people who genuinely care about your customers. They're already the ones keeping the business afloat. They just haven't been given the credit yet. The manager isn't an asset to this restaurant. The servers, on the other hand, are.
03/05/2026: A wonderful restaurant for our first night in Florence. Excellent service by witty, knowledgeable staff. A lovely array of dishes especially the pici (thick) pasta and medium-rare beef slices with mushrooms. Florentine beef is usually served rare although medium-rare is acceptable. Please do not ask for well done. We arrived as walk-ins about 8pm to a mostly empty restaurant, although quite full by 9pm. We washed down our meal with a bottle of local vino Rosso. A wonderful evening. I found it good value. About €40 each for the food component.

30/08/2025: A pleasant restaurant, with well-prepared dishes, although the portions are, in my opinion, modest. The service staff was helpful and friendly. The prices, however, are above average, and in my opinion not justified by either the location or the dishes.

05/04/2026: Table of 20, all the pizzas arrived.. Only three of us ordered 3 plates of rice, they never arrived... When they realize for the inconvenience they bring 1 plate of raw ham and a schiacciata to apologize to the three people.. anyway 5 stars kind!

03/05/2026: It's no longer called Pierrot but Marmarè. A nice, clean, and modern place run by enterprising young people. The staff is friendly and courteous. The lunch I tried at Lo Scoglio was excellent. The portion was tasty and generous. The ravioli alla carrarese were excellent, as was the sea bream. If I ever return (since I'm coming from Alba, near Cuneo), I'd love to try a nice grilled steak.
