Delicious fish appetizers, and a first course with wild boar ragù that was poetry. The pizza was quite poor.... Too big for the plate, difficult to cut, too thin, and the toppings were absolutely inadequate.
Excellent desserts.
It's also incomprehensible how you can pay €4 for a small bottle of Coke while a well-made and elaborate first course with wild boar ragù is only €10....
05/03/2026: Prices have become too high...pizzas sold at a premium...no complaints about the service...but the price list has really gone up a lot...

04/05/2026: They didn't give us a room at the hotel. They took us to a house across the street. The room was very basic, and the bathroom was old and outdated. The shower was tiny and difficult to use, and the toilet cistern was broken; we had to hit it to get it to work. It was very expensive for the awful room they gave us. I don't recommend it. 20/03/2026: A lovely hotel in San Gimignano, with the owner's courtesy and helpfulness. The only downside was that we had to pay for two coffees in the morning, even though breakfast was included. Sometimes you need a good nose.

05/05/2026: A great and original find: a seafood fast food place! Fresh and unique, everything I love: we ordered mixed fried fish, tuna tataki, and octopus. Served with salad, cheese cubes, and tomatoes. The service was obviously quick. Reservations are recommended.
05/05/2026: Recommended in guidebooks, the food is good but the wait is very long; dishes are served piecemeal, and you're called by number and by dish when it's ready, so not all diners eat at the same time. It's not very pleasant.

19/05/2026: For those who love thin pizza, in my opinion it's the best in the area, but the rest of the food is also truly excellent. The prices have gone up a bit lately, but the pizza and the location, especially in the summer, are worth it.
13/05/2026: We went for lunch on Sunday.
So the two first courses arrived at 1:30 PM.
The second course arrived at 2:30 PM, along with my second course...
My spaghetti allo scoglio was only heads.
Of course, it was pointed out...but who cares?
Okay.
The bill included the wrong bottle of wine, 15 euros more.
Clearly, I noticed, and it was refunded.
P.S. Am I a professional?

The food was varied and excellent, and stood out from the usual seafood.
I highly recommend it for its variety and quality.

A relaxing atmosphere and impeccable service.
The selection of raw fish... incredibly fresh, prepared with care.
The attention to the ingredients is undeniably evident!
Another highlight of the evening was the porcini mushroom risotto with pink shrimp and almonds, perfectly creamed and fragrant.
A nice selection of wines.
I found the price to be fair given the quality of the ingredients.
If you enjoy good food and good food, this restaurant is the place to come.

I returned after a few years, and the quality has improved significantly, thanks to Luca, the manager.
18/08/2025: I had the pleasure of having breakfast and dinner at the Mariva Dune restaurant with my family, and the experience was exceptional!
The location is perfect: very close to the sea, yet immersed in a green oasis that guarantees a truly relaxing atmosphere.
The food is top-quality, with fresh, tasty dishes prepared with great attention to detail.
The staff was extremely courteous and attentive, and the attention to detail, including that of the property manager, Luca, makes the experience even more pleasant and exclusive.
Highly recommended for those seeking nature, excellent cuisine, and a relaxing atmosphere. We'll be back soon!

14/05/2026: A very nice, intimate, and well-kept restaurant. Since it was the start of the season, their menu was quite limited. The dishes were good, with decent portions. The prices weren't exactly cheap, but they were fairly in line with the Elba average (two appetizers, one first course, one second course, two glasses of wine) for around €90.

14/02/2026: Fast service, good products. Lately, cappuccino and brioche have gone from 2.40 to 2.60 Euros. Breakfast products from external pastry shops. Slightly small portions of cappuccino: it doesn't fill the cup.

02/04/2026: Always stop by when we are in Castiglione della Pescaia. Fantastic burgers we’ve not seen somewhere else before (with tuna, calamari, etc). Also have nice food for the kids like pizza pane with Nutella.

08/04/2026: A complicated review because it's a combination of conflicting opinions on several aspects. The cramped, overly odorous atmosphere contrasts with the appreciable care, attention, and helpfulness of the staff.
The restaurant's truly excellent cuisine is matched by one of the worst pizzas I've ever had (the dough, cooking, and even the ingredients were decidedly inadequate). The price is good.
02/04/2026: Excellent dinner
The charcuterie and cheese platter was delicious, not to mention the delicious tagliatelle with cherry tomatoes and sea bream as a starter, the freshest fried squid, and finally, the delicious, homemade, warm chocolate heart.
We thank Alba and Maurizio for their warm welcome, making us feel as if we were dining at a friend's house.
The prices are also reasonable, and it's a place we'll gladly return to.

22/09/2025: Eating on a terrace with a view of wonderful gardens, excellent service, and the entire staff was extremely friendly. It was truly an extraordinary experience. We ordered gnocchi, Milanese, angelotto, and tagliatelle, all delicious, as was the bread basket.
