A truly unique restaurant in Florence, a real discovery! At Il Vecchio e il Mare, you can enjoy both excellent pizza and carefully prepared, high-quality dishes.
The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff is extremely kind and helpful, instantly putting you at ease. One aspect I really appreciated was the relaxed atmosphere: you can spend the evening unhurriedly, enjoying time with friends without the usual anxiety of having to vacate a table.
Excellent for both a dinner with friends and a more relaxed evening.
Highly recommended!

09/03/2026: A starred restaurant in both aspects, they make you feel pampered and delighted in an elegant atmosphere. The chef is top-notch, a well-deserved star. Tagliolino with smoked butter, something otherworldly! In addition to the special treatment... we were there on Saturday and will definitely repeat the experience. Thanks again.
08/03/2026: I never liked the way they treated customers! Always double standards! I went back with friends but I could have done without it. Nothing exceptional. There are better.

The service is truly friendly and professional.
The ambiance, right on the beach, leaves nothing to be desired.
There's also plenty of parking.
The wine list is comparable to that of the area.
We will definitely be back next time.
23/08/2025: Beautiful, well-maintained seaside location with onsite parking. We've had tastier (raw) appetizers elsewhere, but the first courses were very good! Very friendly staff. Recommended!

27/01/2026: Excellent location as a base for exploring the Val d'Orcia. Situated on the edge of Sarteano, a charming village with plenty of restaurants and a supermarket. Friendly staff, a large park, a beautiful swimming pool, and well-maintained accommodations. A bit pricey, but you get what you pay for!
02/11/2025: I visited this charming campsite as a child with my parents, and I remember playing on the lawns, hanging out with the kids, and swimming in the pool. Several years have passed, and I decided to return with my children. I especially enjoyed the thermal mineral pools and their healing properties, as well as the children's areas like the playground and the pool with slides. As a parent, I also recommend this campsite for its cleanliness and nighttime surveillance (essential for safety). We chose the Lux glamping option...highly recommended! We'll definitely be back next year.

21/03/2026: I went to Pesce Pane in Florence and had a truly delightful experience. I ordered a platter of battered shrimp, creamed cod, and baby octopus crostini: everything was delicious, carefully prepared with quality ingredients.
The place is truly beautiful, welcoming, and meticulously maintained, perfect for both a relaxed dinner and an evening with friends. Special thanks to Gianni, who looked after us with great attention and kindness, making us feel right at home, and to Alessio, who prepared truly excellent dishes.
A place I definitely recommend and will gladly return to! Highly recommended!
21/03/2026: I finally tried Pescepane's cuisine for a seafood aperitif and was thrilled. Everything was delicious!!! It was paired with a perfect white wine, which enhanced the flavors even more.
Excellent quality, pleasant atmosphere, and top-notch service. Absolutely recommended: 5 well-deserved stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

26/02/2026: We had a lovely time here during our stay in Livorno.
I had the Baccala con Livornese and the Polpette al Sugo, and both were delicious.
My wife had the Pappardelle with Guanciale and the Traditional Platter, and they were also lovely.
We were also looked after very well by the young cameriera, who recommended an excellent red wine to accompany our meals.
We would happily return.
25/02/2026: We were probably unlucky, but 45 minutes for a plate of pasta and a tagliata is absolutely absurd. A ton of sauce and two strands of pasta; to save money, perhaps the opposite would be better, since with 10 cents more you can get double the amount. People arrive later and eat earlier, orders forgotten (without even apologizing), wine at €5 a glass without knowing what it is (if it's the house wine, it's excessive; if it's a bottle, you usually ask for preferences!). All this topped off by a never-ending argument in the kitchen. Perhaps this is the reason for the poor service, but frankly, sometimes a small gesture is enough to prevent a customer from feeling uncomfortable.

20/09/2025: Every time I go to Siena, I book at Michele's. I've been going there for five years now and have always had a great experience. I'll be down in Siena again in October and I'll book a table there. Excellent food, a large restaurant, suitable for large groups, polite staff, and Michele is a great character. The meat is truly excellent, as are the pasta dishes, a wide selection, and very tasty.
I recommend it.
