This restaurant is justly known by neighbors for superb seafood and fantastic pizza. Confirming that reputation, Bill and I had one fabulous meal here, then returned for a second .The servers treated us as if we were family; Esmeland and Pasquale recognized us immediately upon our second visit and were incredibly friendly and charming. They have a passion for this restaurant and giving excellent service. (Pasquale is the fourth generation in the restaurant business.) They remembered us after two days, despite having many visitors in between. The seafood is excellent and so is the pizza, often made with distinctive ingredients and flavors. Bravo!!

Very well-kept, youthful atmosphere. The pizza was good, but in my opinion the gluten-free version needed a makeover; it seemed a bit like a pre-cooked crust. But the ingredients were excellent.

We visited this very welcoming, well-kept restaurant with a lovely outdoor space. The food was excellent, and the staff were extremely kind and professional. Unfortunately, due to a misunderstanding with my order, my dish arrived late, but the owner was very kind and offered me everything I had ordered. It was a thoughtful gesture I've never had from any other restaurant. Highly recommended.

Pasquale and Antonella are two exceptional hosts: welcoming, knowledgeable, and always attentive to every detail, they manage to convey all their passion in every dish. The rest of the staff is also extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The pizzas are spectacular, with light dough and top-quality ingredients, while the fish dishes are a true experience: fresh, carefully prepared, and never boring. You can clearly sense a constant search for the finest ingredients, with a careful selection that truly makes the difference. The atmosphere is warm, relaxed, and authentic, perfect for both a quiet dinner and a special evening of celebration. It's one of those places you'll want to return to, because you already know you'll feel good and eat even better.

A delightful discovery, a restaurant as fresh, youthful, and vibrant as the excellent bubbles we drank. The food they served was also excellent; we gave the owner carte blanche, and he didn't disappoint. Speaking of the owner, Pasquale, a delightful, friendly, and professionally competent person, who manages his establishment with skill and intelligence. What can I say? I went to Il Vecchio e il Mare in Florence tonight and was really satisfied. We had pizza, and it was excellent: light dough, well-cooked, and high-quality ingredients. The place is beautiful and well-kept, welcoming, and pleasant. The service was also quick and friendly, which always makes a difference. I have to be honest, after seeing some of the pasta dishes pass by, we almost regretted not ordering them 😅 because they looked so inviting. It will definitely be an excuse to come back! Excellent value for money. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to eat well in Florence. 🍕

We went here for dinner and had a really good time. Everything was delicious, but I have to give a special compliment for the gluten-free pizza. My girlfriend is celiac, and it's never easy to find a truly good pizza... but here she loved it! The dough was light, well-cooked, and above all, tasty, which is not a given for a gluten-free place. You can tell they put a lot of care and attention into it.
