05/08/2024: We waited for a table for 3 days. The food was moderately tasty. Small portions - hamburger with octopus was very small. The service was very nice and polite, but several times she brought us other customers' dishes. We ordered fried squid for the child, but the waitress brought squid and shrimp, then quickly took the plate away and after a while brought it herself. squid on the same plate, so I think she quickly took out the shrimp 😉 pavlova with fruit was very hard - there was literally one strawberry from the fruit. Tasty tiramisu. Beautiful view from the restaurant.

I was very amazed in a very positive sense, fruitful and bright environment, I took the "Calabrian hell" pizza... even though I am Neapolitan and I felt at home... very good and spicy... very good staff; very good guys. 19/07/2024: We went to Mirko's yesterday! We did the tasting menu and it was a great experience! The dishes were all excellent, each dish had its own explanation, the service was impeccable. The waitress who accompanied us during the evening was professional, friendly and just enough company to make us feel at ease. My absolute favorite course and which I consider truly exceptional was the shrimp and truffle pasta! Congratulations Mirko!!! Excellent Excellent Excellent!! 18/07/2024: This is without a doubt my favorite hotel that I have ever been to, anywhere in the world. David is incredible and truly makes this an unforgettable experience - the food is amazing, the surroundings are wonderful, the wine is amongst the best I have had, and the service goes above and beyond anything I have ever experienced. The rooms are opulent without being overstated, and the location perfect for exploring Tuscany. Without a double, my wife and I will be back. If you are between here and elsewhere, there is only one good choice, and that is here.

08/07/2024: Little did I know that Relais La Corte Dei Papi would always have a special little place in my heart 💕💍The views were breathtaking and the breakfast was phenomenal as was our private hotel room dinner served by David himself. Our room had such an elegant charm, it truly felt like I was living in a fairytale. You can tell David and his family have worked hard to make this place so beautiful it is truly magical. He goes above and beyond to make you feel so welcome…forever grateful to have met him and stay at his lovely home 🙏 Thank you for the wonderful memories we will be back!

04/08/2024: The place was nice, the staff were friendly but the price was too high for what we ate: two first courses, two fried foods, two glasses of wine and a water, €80, I find really excessive. The fried foods were good, medium portion, the seafood first course was a little salty. Prices are probably average for Piombino but remain excessive in my opinion.

27/08/2024: Abbiamo trascorso una settimana a Castiglione e questo é stato il ristorante dell'ultima sera. Superlativo!!!! In un posto di mare saper cucinare il pesce e soprattutto servirlo fresco, viene dato per scontato e in questo ristorante la materia prima é garantita. Vi allego foto che confermano quanto detto 😜

24/08/2024: Abbiamo deciso di andare alla Casa Rossa dopo aver letto molte recensioni positive. Arrivati sul posto abbiamo trovato un locale alquanto mediocre come locazione, allestimento e arredo e abbiamo pensato che la sua fama fosse dovuta ad una cucina schietta ma gustosa, insomma da " trattoria di un tempo" in coerenza con l'aspetto del ristorante. La signora che ci ha accolto è stata molto gentile e cordiale,ma il ragazzo che ci ha poi servito probabilmente era in serata storta. I primi piatti sono effettivamente buoni, in particolare i pici alla salicornia con lupini (...non vongole). Abbiamo poi ordinato delle impepate di cozze. Grave errore! Non so come abbiano fatto, ma le Cozze erano prive di qualunque sapore. Ho avuto la sensazione che siano state bollite in acqua e poi impiattate con una minuscola fetta di limone e,a dispetto del nome, non vi era traccia di pepe. Senza infamia e senza lode la tartare di salmone con avogado. La qualità dei piatti non giustifica i prezzi specie in considerazione del tenore alquanto insignifante del ristorante. Insomma la valutazione complessiva non supera la mediocrità.

31/08/2024: Con mia moglie e nostro figlio in una caldissima serata d'Agosto abbiamo prenotato questo ristorante. Location attraente con vista sul porto...peccato che in serate come questa alcuni tavoli fra cui il nostro siano messi proprio a ridosso della strada abbastanza trafficata (avevamo chiesto di sederci ad un tavolo in migliore posizione ma la richiesta è stata rifiutata nonostante il tavolo sia restato libero per tutta la sera). Molto buoni i primi, le cozze, e buona la frittura...peccato che i piatti ci siano arrivati in tempi diversi al tavolo. Camerieri gentili, prezzi nella media. Probabilmente da riprovare in tempi meno affollati.

28/08/2024: Location molto bella, affaccia sul porto di Santo Stefano. Personale abbastanza gentile anche se un po’ lenti. Noi in 3 abbiamo preso 1 gnocco mare e terra, 1 spaghetto alle vongole, 1 gnocco al ragù, 1 frittura, 2 bottiglie d’acqua e abbiamo speso 74€.

We ate well, I took the Poco all'aglione without knowing what it was and I was honestly expecting a more particular flavour, but I think it's precisely the dish that is so The pasta was a little overcooked They also have gluten-free pasta. The evening we went there was the village festival "cali di stelle" and the place was very crowded. There was clearly a lack of staff (maybe they don't have so many people) but the waiters were very good, courteous and quick despite the confusion. Congratulations to them!
