11/06/2026: I was passing through Mondello with my sister and we stopped to eat at this restaurant... we delighted our palates with mussels and pasta with sardines and fennel... we really enjoyed everything... Vincenzo made us spend a moment of haute Mediterranean cuisine... we will be back soon... highly recommended... Giuseppe and Marisa from Turin 🙂🙂

07/05/2026: I ate at this restaurant in November 2025 with local friends. The owner recommended the "zoccola di Mare" to me. Exceptional. I recommend it to everyone. Once you've been to this restaurant, judge for yourself.

20/04/2026: Dinner was served from an à la carte seafood menu, including mixed fried fish and grilled sea bream. It was a considerable surprise that service was completed after just ten minutes; this speed was unusual for a sea bream, which, despite being excellently cooked, aroused the suspicion that it had been pre-cooked and then reheated. It should be noted that it was a small specimen, presumably farmed, and was accompanied by a generous salad. The service was excellent and prompt, albeit excessively fast; the restaurant appears well-maintained and welcoming. The seafood definitely appears frozen, as clearly indicated on the menu. Overall, a personal experience I would not repeat. A shame, because Mr. Benito is truly a welcoming, friendly, and cheerful person.

22/10/2025: The food was honestly only ok. The lady will fill a tray with random stuff, way too much than you'll actually eat and you need to ask her to remove stuff. Take like €10 worth of stuff off what she proposes (it's done by weight). Octopus is extra beyond this pile of sea creatures. The starters are served cold, which wasn't very nice for me personally. The fish is simply deep fried and is fresh thankfully but quite bland beyond that. The baby squid was not prepared correctly, with bone and ink not removed which was not great. The sardines were nice, shrimp was nice, anchovies were bitter.. just a very mixed bag. The atmosphere is not great either, bad music and fluorescent lights. Fine overall but just go to a market to eat fried fish/octopus/squid whatever you like during the day and go somewhere a bit nicer for dinner. That's my recommendation

10/10/2025: The atmosphere is reminiscent of the Vucciria market: noisy, authentic, and for this very reason, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We chose fresh fish to cook for us and ate it at the tables after a short wait, but there were also many delicious ready-made dishes. Everything was delicious and topped off by the friendly staff, a whole family who know how to make themselves remembered. It was the end of September, so it wasn't very crowded.
