02/07/2026: On a particularly hot Sunday, I had lunch as a couple at this place overlooking the sea, actually, just 5 meters from the sea, overlooking the little harbor of this wonderful seaside village of Sferracavallo.
The welcome was typical of a family-run restaurant, and we were offered dishes off the menu that were made from the morning's catch. I chose a crudités appetizer; the swordfish and tuna tartare alone were plentiful and so fresh that I could have finished lunch. My wife chose a plate of sea urchins, but I was craving pasta, so I chose homemade fettuccine with lobster (a generous plate divided in two, as you can see in the photo). Then there was a traditional main course, but since it was fresh fish, I opted for a very simple grilled swordfish and an Aeolian-style one, which were as good as you'd expect from the freshness of the dishes presented. A glance at the first courses at the neighboring tables revealed the first-rate products prepared with tuna and swordfish.
Don't expect air conditioning—unfortunately, this does a bit of a disservice—or porcelain dinnerware, or anything else you might expect when choosing to eat good seafood. It was hot, and this could be uncomfortable for other guests, but everything was top-notch. The sea urchins and oysters were exposed, and the octopus was cooked to order. The authenticity and transparency of the staff's fearless approach to their work makes you appreciate the simplicity of a seaside establishment that has nothing to envy of other locations.
A place worth trying at least once, like other local establishments.
06/06/2026: La Perla del Mare: Food, service, and ambiance were excellent!
Only one criticism: The restroom needs renovation.
Otherwise, I was very satisfied with everything, tried the entire menu, and tipped between €10 and €15 each time.
Another small, charming restaurant whose name I don't know: Right in front of it is a smaller restaurant that is also highly recommended and offers excellent value for money. Unfortunately, it's not listed on Google Maps. The small restaurant is run by an older gentleman and his son. The gentleman tries to compete by shouting in Italian: "Andiamo pane Ricci, Cozze, Ostriche, Octopus. Come and try sea urchins, mussels, oysters, and octopus!" The service from the gentleman and his son is very friendly and humorous. The food tastes like home cooking. They offer more than just sea urchins, oysters, and octopus. Dining at this older gentleman's and his son's restaurant is highly recommended. The ambiance is breathtaking, even during the day, because his restaurant is right next to the sea and there's a lovely breeze, and in the evening you can enjoy the sunset up close. His restaurant isn't as crowded as the others in the area. You have space and feel at ease.
Pay attention to the chairs and tables in front of my photos. I'm referring to the small, charming restaurant. 😉
La Perla del Mare: Excellent food, service, and atmosphere!
Only one criticism: The bathroom could use some renovation.
... For the rest, this means that there is a small amount of food, so you can get the menu and the price at a price of 10 and 15 euros or volta.
An altro piccolo and grazioso ristorante di cui non conosco il name: Proprio accanto si trova a ristorante più piccolo, anch'esso altamente raccomandato e con un ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo.Purtroppo not è presente on Google Maps. The piccolo ristorante è gestito da un signore anziano e da suo figlio. The signore cerca di competere gridando in Italiano:"Andiamo pane Ricci, Cozze,Ostriche, Octopus.".The service offered by the signore e da suo figlio è molto cordiale e simpatico. The cibo has the sapore di quello fatto in casa. Il suo ristorante It doesn't come anywhere else in the zone.Avrete spazio e vi sentirete a vostro agio. Nelle mie photo, prestate attention all sedie e ai tavoli in primo piano. Mi riferisco al grazioso ristorantino.😉
