03/03/2025: A good place to eat some typical dishes or classic Sicilian cuisine. Quite clean as a room and also the bathroom. If you don't want to enter the alleys of the historic center of Gangi, this restaurant is for you. Excellent panoramic view and large parking.

13/01/2025: I'm sorry to give a bad review but I really only do it if the place can be improved, it's a nice place with a really beautiful view of Gangi but in terms of service, there's a lot of improvement to be had, too many people and too many waiting times. But the worst thing was the pizza of the evening but not good at all.

04/05/2025: Ambiente encantador justo al lado de una calle concurrida en Ortigia. El personal era amable y servicial con la organización de una mesa más grande para nosotros, incluso en un espacio reducido. Carta diversa, con muchas opciones geniales para un banquete más grande o un almuerzo más ligero. Sabroso marisco fresco y buen antipasto. Los platos de pasta eran maravillosos y llenos de sabor. Recomiendo encarecidamente los raviolis caseros con cerdo. No había muchas opciones de cócteles, pero el mojito virgen era tan refrescante que tuve que tomar otro.

15/04/2025: Preciosas opciones de comida siciliana en el menú. Restaurante íntimo muy popular con buen servicio en la noche que estuvimos allí. Iría de nuevo. Recomiendo reservar como puede estar ocupado.

19/05/2025: Restaurant in a somewhat isolated but comfortable place inside. Excellent service and very friendly staff, the dishes are delicious and made by expert hands, I highly recommend fettuccine alla Maffone a real joy for the palate and the cassatelle are a real treat at the end of the meal. Mrs. Laura is an excellent hostess, recommended to those who want to enjoy good food and a quiet meal with even a little chat.

16/05/2025: Ambience: I know the owners can't help it, but as the food was being served, a car was being towed onto the street next to our table. The tow truck was running at full throttle to operate the winch. The food was both light and shade. The appetizers were very good, but the grill was dry. The service was friendly.

14/05/2025: The view is the highlight, and it was worth it. However, the value for money of the meals is disastrous. The food is tasty, but definitely not worth the price. Simple cuisine, unspectacular except for the bill. If you want to eat outside, you have to eat two courses, and the appetizer portions are small. We don't regret the visit; we already knew what to expect in terms of price.

27/05/2025: Old place needs total renovation, still stuck in 30/40 years ago, Do not order the Ricci as an appetizer 7 sea urchins for €10 Small and Empty MONEY WASTED, to take only the Pasta al CANTASTORIE with clams mussels and sea urchins for €20 I must say Good and al Dente even if I do not think they use Pasta like Rummo or Garofalo so definitely to be improved! Service to be improved too, polite parking attendant!

01/06/2025: First review in my history, I'm a lazy guy and I don't write reviews. I've never had such a bad time anywhere as at Torquemada, so my experience must be told. An evening to forget. Very ugly place, infernal heat, insufficient air conditioning, this is just to start with. We sit down at 8pm, the mixed fried food arrives at 8:30pm, very badly cooked and together with a few bottles of tap water that tastes terrible. Bottled water only 0.5, why? The menu for the evening had already been decided, after the appetizer, pizzas were to be served in the center, various flavors, chosen by the diners, without a limit on quantity, the so-called "pizza tour". You don't see a pizza before 10:30 pm, two hours after the appetizer, during which we repeatedly urged the staff, almost begged them to bring us some pizza to start eating and satisfy our hunger, putting up with sarcastic and irritated responses from very rude waiters. Zero respect or care for the customer. The pizza was nothing special, badly cooked, the edges inedible, always burnt. Do you want some advice? Go elsewhere, Palermo is full of places where you eat well, managed by people who care about the customer and who respect him.

22/05/2025: I came on a trip with my class here in Palermo, to minimize the costs of the educational experience the school decided to choose this restaurant to go to for dinner every day. Leaving aside the terrible conditions of the place with plasterboard walls that wobbled at the touch, electrical wires exposed in full view and a closet from which a large number of waiters flowed at all times of the evening literally behind an open seat, the rest was even worse. I understand that it may be a different situation than usual to find twenty people all together in one evening and there may be setbacks, but when this situation has been known for days it is unacceptable to do a job like this. I will not list all the misfortunes of these evenings spent at the "Torquemada" but I will say the first things that come to mind: Food given to a paying clientele poor and with ridiculous portions. Mediocre and perpetually late service that often does not listen to requests. Basic products (like bread) that according to the staff members "are not enough for everyone" when they already knew very well what situation they would find themselves in. Hot tap water given to customers after asking the staff for a little more in addition to the 2 bottles for 12 people that were given at the beginning Furthermore, the food was clearly made and served to save as much as possible without taking into account the impressions of the customers, I do not want to mention the characteristics of the "cake" served because they put the fragile consistency of the wall in a bad light. I find all this absurd and untenable because as I have already said I realize it is difficult to manage an entire class in the evening but, since the restaurant has taken on this commitment, it is absolutely responsible for the result. The restaurant could be a good place for small groups but is strictly not recommended for larger groups that the restaurant does not know how to handle. A piece of advice for the members of the restaurant, do not take on responsibilities that you are not able to handle. For everyone else, do not go there if you have many friends.
