15/03/2026: It was raining heavily, and we stumbled upon this restaurant by chance. A wonderful discovery! Exceptional meal. We chose the Locanda appetizer platter, followed by homemade ravioli, squid ink risotto, and pork. Everything was excellent. The servers were friendly and very helpful. Kudos to the chefs! The dishes were worthy of a fine dining establishment.

16/02/2026: On Valentine's Day, we went to Giovanni's for lunch: we ordered mixed antipasti a la carte and a first course each. The appetizers were mediocre, nothing exceptional; we were disappointed. Although the fried food was golden and crispy, the calamari was rubbery. The eggplant caponata was good, which I hadn't expected in a seafood appetizer. Marinated and smoked anchovies from store-bought bags... but let's move on to the first courses: pasta with clams was completely dry, seemingly oily. The pasta with sea urchins was slightly better. We also ordered risottos: good flavor, but not at all creamy. The sauce was loose. Both the pasta and the rice were cooked perfectly. Dessert: excellent lemon sorbet, I don't know if it was homemade. Tart with cream: delicious cream, raw pastry, still moist on the inside, which, obviously, wasn't crunchy in the mouth but too creamy. The staff was very kind and helpful, and the atmosphere was nice and clean.

20/12/2025: My wife ordered the Acquario spaghetti, which she didn't quite like, and she left almost the entire plate. The dish was removed from the bill, with the management's apologies, and was fairly and honestly dismissed. The other dishes were very good. We'll definitely be back to try the sushi, perhaps.

12/03/2026: Tried it on the recommendation of a friend, it's located right on the beach, and the owners are friendly and helpful. Try the sarde a beccafico (stuffed sardines) and the pasta dishes, which are truly excellent, and the price is fair for the quality. They have a nice selection of wines and delicious desserts, so highly recommended!

15/02/2026: We were 6 people and all 6 of us felt bad all night. What was even more unpleasant was the service, we found a really rude waiter.

09/03/2026: A very disappointing experience. We booked weeks in advance. No one greeted us when we arrived, and when we sat down, the table was already stained. The place gave off a generally unkempt impression: water on the floor and chairs full of sand. The service was very slow: we waited almost two hours just for an appetizer, which was also wrong and didn't even match what was on the menu. Even one of the first courses was served differently than expected: a pasta dish that didn't taste like fish. The waiter was quite rude; they even got the bottle of wine we ordered wrong several times. Furthermore, there was no indication that it was Women's Day, despite the occasion. Another unprofessional detail was seeing a waiter with very long and dirty nails. Overall, it was a very negative experience. Frankly, it gave the impression that the place wasn't yet ready to open or handle customers.

26/02/2026: A pizzeria that never disappoints. Simple but top-quality ingredients, fantastic pizza, exquisite tomato sauce, and even their seafood appetizers are fresh and plentiful. Among the thousands of new places opening in Palermo, you're still a sure thing.

01/03/2026: Decent pizza, with a variety of toppings to choose from, a spacious and well-maintained space, and friendly and courteous staff, although service on Saturday evenings is slow and creates a long wait. Average prices.

12/03/2026: I was there to celebrate Chinese New Year 2026! It was the only restaurant in Palermo that claimed to have the dish I wanted: Peking Duck. The service was very friendly and efficient. Unfortunately, the dish, while tasty, wasn't the original. I plan to return to try other options on the menu!

08/02/2026: Fabbro Bar and Restaurant is truly beautiful. The restaurant and service are elegant, but you can also stop for a coffee or breakfast. We ate lunch inside, although there's also outdoor seating. My pasta with tuna and zucchini was truly delicious and delicate. I also had the amazing zucchini flowers and fried calamari. Everything was delicious.

28/01/2026: We had some lovely croissants, vegan options as well. Staff were super friendly and some spoke English. I would recommend.

14/02/2026: No... we're not there... The videos circulating don't match at all... Minimal and poor-quality platter... The mediocre cocktails aren't even served in the right glasses... No... we're not there... Honestly, I WON'T return... **** The response I received from the owner was amusing. Instead of accepting criticism in an effort to continually improve, he arrogantly boasts about an "award" he received, but that clearly doesn't reflect the views of those who PAY for award-winning but poorly made cocktails!! I CONFIRM: I WILL NOT RETURN AND I WILL ONLY BE GIVING BAD PUBLICITY ****** You allow yourself to offend by elevating yourself to majestic levels and then you don't know how to write OBJECTIVES... but that's okay... Even if it was in the plastic cup, you only focused on the type of glass without realizing that the problem is that they were all ice and of mediocre quality like your platter. They're called REVIEWS where everyone can freely express their thoughts based on their own experience... evidently you were "unlucky" with me.

14/02/2026: Memorable place for good food, drinks, and live music. Eclectic crowd of expats, locals and retirees having fun in an inviting setting. Very good service from a staff that is friendly and attentive, without being overbearing or pushy. Highly recommend.

22/10/2025: The food was honestly only ok. The lady will fill a tray with random stuff, way too much than you'll actually eat and you need to ask her to remove stuff. Take like €10 worth of stuff off what she proposes (it's done by weight). Octopus is extra beyond this pile of sea creatures. The starters are served cold, which wasn't very nice for me personally. The fish is simply deep fried and is fresh thankfully but quite bland beyond that. The baby squid was not prepared correctly, with bone and ink not removed which was not great. The sardines were nice, shrimp was nice, anchovies were bitter.. just a very mixed bag. The atmosphere is not great either, bad music and fluorescent lights. Fine overall but just go to a market to eat fried fish/octopus/squid whatever you like during the day and go somewhere a bit nicer for dinner. That's my recommendation

10/10/2025: The atmosphere is reminiscent of the Vucciria market: noisy, authentic, and for this very reason, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We chose fresh fish to cook for us and ate it at the tables after a short wait, but there were also many delicious ready-made dishes. Everything was delicious and topped off by the friendly staff, a whole family who know how to make themselves remembered. It was the end of September, so it wasn't very crowded.

15/03/2026: This restaurant, located right in the heart of Palermo's old town, near the port, has only a few tables, creating a more intimate atmosphere. It's highly recommended for romantic evenings. The cuisine is traditional yet innovative, with delicious dishes that will tantalize all your senses! We were served by the owner, who was incredibly polite and friendly, always smiling, and offered excellent recommendations! Dining at this restaurant was definitely a great choice!
