15/03/2026: At Mafone's table that evening among simple dishes that tasted of the sea and of home. The bruschetta shone like little islands of warm bread crostini with baby clams and sea urchins, the salty flavor that spoke of the shore and the fishermen's dawn. A friend shouted poetry, poetry, then the steaming pasta, embraced with cuttlefish, octopus, and calamari, an intertwining of the sea and expert hands that transformed a Saturday evening into a small celebration. The glasses mingled softly, with the sparkling wine that tingled the tongue like a sudden laugh. And around the warmth of friends, that doesn't need great words just a toast, a knowing look, the breaking of bread together. Thus the evening passed slowly, among the scents of the sea and the cuisine, and the tavern became a port, to return to with the hunger of the heart and the joy of sharing. 🍷🌊 Daniela LoRito

08/03/2026: Avoid the open door. Given the cost of the pizzas, even if they are worth it. The owner could install an air conditioner in front of the door. A bit like Milan. Today it's cold here too and the drafts are worse than in the north. Next time I'll avoid that position in the corridor.

26/12/2025: The menu wasn't updated online. We sat down and found only ready-made pasta sauces displayed at the counter, and a very salty pasta with clams, off-menu. Fresh fish by the kilo? None. Fish meatballs? Purchased pre-made and of poor quality. Swordfish rolls were very dry. The worst thing was that fried calamari, marinated shrimp, and pasta with bottarga were delivered to the table next to ours (all off-menu dishes that no one had informed us about). The only positive note of the lunch was the seafood salad. Never again.

08/03/2026: The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with an almost family feel. The ingredients are fresh, top-quality, and expertly prepared. Service is a bit slow, but we expected that, as we were the last ones seated. I think we'll become regulars.

28/10/2025: A very warm welcome, a smiling waiter, and quick service. They changed our wine because there was a problem with the one we were initially served. They didn't charge us for it and even offered us a complimentary digestif.

26/10/2025: The perfect place, a discovery of the 2025 season. Local, seasonal, and top-quality ingredients. The bruschetta tomatoes are aromatic and fragrant, with a touch of good extra virgin olive oil. The mussels are of excellent quality, fresh, perfectly prepared, firm, and not rubbery, with a delicious sauce of their own, seasoned so that the seasonings don't overwhelm their flavor. Next time, I'll ask for a spoon, because it would be a shame to leave such a wonder on the plate! The raw red shrimp from Mazzara del Vallo served with a drizzle of citron sauce and pink peppercorns. A masterpiece! The grilled swordfish is simply divine... The new team, led by Carlo and Mauro, make every effort to ensure guests feel comfortable and satisfied with the service. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. I consider this a prime example of how customer service should be. Attentive, kind, and genuine. I will be back, and I highly recommend it! 09/03/2026: After a previous experience, we wanted to try this restaurant again, but it wasn't possible due to the dog not being accepted (even after various reassurances). We haven't experienced such a refusal in years. It's a shame, we're disappointed, and we won't be returning. P.S. I'm sorry to be accused of dishonest behavior for not canceling, which I did. I told the lady, who replied that she could cancel the reservation. Evidently, she didn't. Sincerely,

16/02/2026: A breath of fresh air in Palermo! Trust me, book here. In a city now bent on tourism, where it seems impossible to eat truly well, this place is a gem. Refined atmosphere, impeccable staff, but above all, the freshest fish! You won't find traditional dishes, but you won't regret choosing it. If we'd had more days, we would definitely have returned to try other dishes. Prices are average, if not low; for four people, two courses each, three desserts, two bottles of wine and liqueurs, €50 each. A GIFT, for the quality of the food!

02/10/2025: They welcome customers with courtesy, the food is excellent, and the wine is equally good. The prices are slightly higher than those of the island's competitors, but the quantity justifies this.

07/02/2026: I called ahead to ask if swordfish was available, and it turned out to be a truly exceptional discovery. The restaurant is located on a quiet street in the center, just outside the ZTL (limited traffic zone): a private and pleasant corner, with an elegant, welcoming atmosphere, meticulously maintained, where you immediately feel at ease. The cuisine was a constant confirmation: the swordfish caponata is simply superb, balanced and refined; the strozzapreti with swordfish is intense and perfectly balanced; the mixed cooked pasta is wow, of great quality and cooked with great care. The wine is also excellent, well-selected and ideal to accompany the dishes. The quality-price ratio is excellent, rare to find at this level. Special mention for the service: impeccable, attentive, and never intrusive. The young woman who welcomed us and looked after us throughout the evening was always smiling, professional, and capable of making the guest feel truly special. A complete experience, one of those that will stay with you forever. Absolutely recommended. Thank you!!! 🙂
