06/07/2026: The Bird Garden never disappoints, but the real secret of this place is the extraordinary team that works there, some truly amazing people. When a place does so well, you can see the passion behind every detail. In the Kitchen: Chef Gianfranco Parisi is a force of nature. His dishes are an experience for the eyes and the palate, combining technique, flavor, and a unique charm. At the Bar: Francesco Gaiano is a master behind the bar, with exceptional drinks and great professionalism. At the Bakery: Massimo in the pizzeria churns out spectacular pizzas, with perfect dough and cooking. In the Dining Room: Giovanni Fiorelli and the entire team welcome you with such attention, kindness, and energy that make you feel immediately at home. A beautiful atmosphere and an extraordinary staff that all pulls in the same direction. When you come here, you experience the region at its best. Highly recommended, I will definitely be back.

04/07/2026: Very tasty, good staff, and a particularly cozy place. The outdoor area is large, right in the center, and very pleasant. The fish pastas are all highly recommended. I would definitely come back here!

04/07/2026: A friend had spoken highly of this restaurant, and our expectations were high. When we arrived, the place was beautiful and clean, with friendly, cheerful service. We had the potatoes with cheddar for appetizers and the classic hot appetizer, both excellent and perfectly cooked. For the main course, we tried a little bit of everything: the sirloin was incredibly good, juicy (despite being cooked above medium), spectacularly cooked, and the baked potatoes were also delicious. The pasta with shrimp and pistachios was delicious, a more than generous portion (we were recommended, being foodies), and the pasta was perfectly cooked. And the pizzas were very good, flavorful, well-seasoned, and not at all heavy; even the baguette was amazing. Unfortunately, we didn't get to have dessert, but we'll definitely make up for it next time. In conclusion, well done everyone, a great restaurant, don't change. We'll definitely be back.

31/07/2026: My partner and I had a very delicious meal here. The staff (Francesco & other waiter) is very attentive and the food is amazing (fresh pasta and unique dishes) , I wish I stayed longer in ortigia to go back and try more! Loved the oil sample they gave us, great location and overall great dinner/evening. I would definitely come back if I visit again. The neighborhood cat greeted us as well :)

14/05/2026: I hadn't been to Pizzicotto for dinner in a while and was surprised by how delicious and friendly everyone is. The gluten-free appetizer was well-made, the crispy fries were much appreciated. The staff were very courteous and especially attentive to gluten, with special cutlery brought to our table and a flag indicating the pizza for the intolerant diner... impeccable. I was pleasantly surprised by the quantity of pizzas and the combinations of ingredients, and I also noticed generous portions of pasta and mussel appetizers at other tables. The food, staff, and location were excellent. Highly recommended, we'll be back.

13/05/2026: I ate pizza at this restaurant, and aside from the excellent quality of the food, I have to offer my sincerest compliments to the staff, especially the bartender. My husband and I tried their spritz, and it was definitely the best in Palermo. Congratulations!

18/07/2026: The place was very nice, and the food was good, but the service was truly awful. But that's the owners' fault, not the totally inattentive and disorganized waiters. After all our legitimate complaints, they didn't even offer coffee. How can you create positive publicity? I don't know.

02/05/2026: Baglio Himera is a beautiful place. I consider it "Sicilian-style," meaning it respects its Sicilian origins, what makes us Sicilians special. The food is delicious; I had the pasta with pistachios, cream, and shrimp, which you must try here—delicious!—and the fried seafood was even better. The service is good, and the staff is kind and courteous. The atmosphere is beautiful, decorated in Sicilian tradition, well-maintained, and spacious, with plenty of seating. Highly recommended for a birthday party. In short, the place is perfect... highly recommended.

06/06/2026: The fettuccine with seafood was excellent. Niccola provided great service. They even agreed to prepare grilled sardines for us. Excellent value for money.

05/06/2026: The food was ok, but very overpriced. The sea urchin pasta was 20 euros and only had 4 pieces of sea urchin. The two people who worked here were sitting on the table right next to us and were smoking while being on their phone. It's a family owned restaurant so they were constantly fighting right next to us and it wasn't a pleasant experience. The dad is the only cook there so service was extremely slow, and when we wanted to pay the lady just pointed at the cashier and continued smoking. The waiter gave us attitude and wasn't very friendly either. The food was great, but the service was horrible.

10/07/2026: A very pleasant experience in a calm atmosphere. Lovely decor. My pasta carbonara was delicious. The waitresses were very friendly and attentive, even though we didn't speak Italian. I recommend it.

11/06/2026: If you get the table at the back you get a great Seaview. The food was incredible. Three very tasty dishes not including the tuna sashimi which hit the mark. All in all a great experience

10/06/2026: The window seat I requested is absolutely stunning but unfortunately the air con blows so hard we had to move to the table on the street - if you do not mind ice cold air blowing in your eyes, you will have the best sunset view of your life there! The staff were attentive to us and while initially it was not possible to move to a less arctic table, the main boss made it possible. We were served promptly until it came to the final bill - in the end we needed to get up to pay despite the restaurant not being busy at all (Monday evening). Now on to the food - absolutely spectacular. The mackerel special was insane. It is not cheap but the quality and flavour is fantastic.

12/07/2026: A strange salad, but the risotto was delicious. The service was good, and a big advantage is that the restaurant is open during hours when most other places are already closed.

22/07/2026: Our Airbnb host recommended this restaurant to us – and we weren't disappointed. The food was excellent, especially the Zuppa di Cozze, which was simply delicious. We also really enjoyed the other dishes. The location is beautiful, and the atmosphere is truly unique and cozy. A great place to spend a relaxing evening with good food. We'll definitely be back!

21/07/2026: If I could give the service and atmosphere a zero, I wouldn't hesitate: I've never felt so uncomfortable or been treated with such disrespect. We came as a family, and the restaurant wasn't very full. My first impression was very mixed, as the waitresses were extremely cold and unfriendly. We were then asked what we wanted to drink, and I think that's where everything changed: given the heat, we "just" asked for water and a beer. Apparently, that wasn't expensive or pretentious enough, and from then on, we were treated like country bumpkins. The waitress then disdainfully threw a small card with a QR code onto the table, announcing that it was the menu. There were six of us, seated around a huge table, having to pass the card around to scan the code (which isn't user-friendly; my 80-year-old in-laws were among them and couldn't figure it out). The restaurant offers a variety of dishes, including pizzas. We opted for the latter (not because of the price, but simply because we felt like it!). Meanwhile, the restaurant filled up: imagine my surprise when I saw that not only were the other tables (which arrived after us) being served while we were still waiting, but all of them had baskets of bread and breadsticks to tide us over… except ours?! When our pizzas finally arrived, one was missing… perhaps they'd forgotten it, preferring to focus on the higher-spending customers? I've never felt so belittled as I did at this restaurant, based on my choice of dish: if pizzas aren't profitable enough, they don't offer them on the menu...? In the end, we skipped dessert, preferring to go home rather than prolong an evening in a place where we clearly weren't good enough to stay. Besides, our four-year-old daughter was with us and was exhausted. It's also worth noting that there wasn't a children's menu, unlike other restaurants we've visited. Not all children want to eat a pizza the size of an adult's, and they aren't fond of cutlets. It's a real shame, because the pizza (mine, at least) was really good. However, if you're looking for a welcoming place where all customers are treated with the same friendliness, I'd advise you to look elsewhere.
