18/02/2026: Food was super tasty, we had mussels, i had the swordfish sauce and eggplant pasta and my boyfriend had the grilled swordfish and sicilian salad. Incredible pasta and fish. Service was a little slow but the two guys were super friendly. Also beautiful view of the ocean.

18/02/2026: Amazing restaurant with a beautiful view of the sea. We ordered the shrimp pasta with pistachios and mussels and everything was so delicious. Large portions. The staff served the food with a smile. Absolutely recommend!

21/10/2025: We had lunch at this Osteria on a Sunday in October. It's a secluded and welcoming place, the staff are polite and professional, and the food is very good. We ordered a fish parmigiana, which was good but a bit bland. We followed it with a baked grouper with citrus fruits and spinach, which was very good. It's a shame the spinach wasn't enough, and they didn't provide us with the weight of the grouper, which, given that it was fresh and weighed, should have been provided. The only downside is the excessively high bill: €90 per kilo for the fish and €20 for a glass of wine seems excessive to me.

20/10/2025: The service was genuine and warm, and they weren’t pushy to upsell. I appreciated their clear explanation of the catch of the day, including the offer to have the fish prepared in two ways: Sicilian capers and sultana stew, and homemade breadcrumbs. The fish was fresh and perfectly cooked. Kudos to the service team and chef!

28/10/2025: We were on a sailing holiday and arrived in Salina marina for the night. We chose this restaurant because it was small but busy. We now know why it was busy even for off season. The food was fabulous. The yellowtail was especially good. Although a limited selection the wine was local and good. Highly recommended.

28/10/2025: A fantastic experience for simple, classic with a twist Aeolian cuisine! We had a wonderful dinner while in Salina and would highly recommend the restaurant. Chef Fillipo is a genius when it comes to taking the most humble of local ingredients and turning them into absolute delicacies. Starting with the broad bean soup with herbed ricotta and anchovies a classic Sicilian soup taken to the next level with fresh herbed ricotta and salty anchovies. We both wanted meat for so we chose the black pork sausages and the house made beef spiedini both absolutely delicious and so simple and we both had the purslane salad, foraged from the local mountains and just delicious. The salted mandarin sorbet with Lemon jam was a perfect finish. We loved everything and would highly recommended you visit.

07/01/2026: Excellent restaurant: delicious food and a spectacular location, with a breathtaking view of all of Taormina and Mount Etna right across the street. During the summer, a splendid upstairs terrace is also available. Highly recommended, especially for the kindness of the staff. We chose a raw fish appetizer to share, two first courses (a risotto and tagliolini), and, to finish, a dessert. Everything was delicious, and we had a truly wonderful time. Thank you, Alfio!

03/01/2026: Expectations are inevitably high in a restaurant of this caliber. And it must be said right away: they weren't disappointed, even if there was a slight sense of "it could have been better." The setting is refined, elegant but not stuffy, with a warm, well-lit dining room and a nighttime view that pleasantly complements the dinner. The service is one of the strong points: extremely kind, attentive, never intrusive, and capable of making you feel welcomed from start to finish. The fried seafood is well-executed, using quality ingredients, dry and light. However, for a €25 dish, the portion is objectively modest: two people can eat, yes, but with the feeling that something is missing. More than the quality, here it's the quantity that doesn't live up to the asking price. The risotto with shrimp tails and cheese is perfect, balanced, and well-creamed. Good, without a doubt. But at this level—and especially at €25—you expect that wow factor, that bite that lingers in your memory. In this case, it doesn't explode; it remains a good dish without becoming memorable. The real surprise was the soup: intense, deep, enveloping: truly, very good, one of those dishes that justify the cuisine and leave a lasting impression. Overall, a good experience, pleasant and refined, with room to become excellent. A restaurant that has everything to convince, but which could be more daring with some dishes to fully justify the bill.

28/09/2025: We just had a unique weekend! As soon as we arrived on Vulcano, we rented the legendary Mehari from Paolo and immediately headed to our peaceful oasis on Vulcano Piano! Maria Tindara is the most authentic place you can find on Vulcano! It's outside the port, true, but it's perfectly located halfway between Gelso and the port! The dinner was spectacular, an explosion of flavors! Save room for the desserts because they are incredible and definitely made with love! Gilberto was attentive to our every need, even recommending a truly unique spot with a breathtaking view of the islands and the crater rim to your left—a spot that rivals the climb up the crater the day before, and definitely less tiring! The rooms are simple and authentic, and in the evening you're only accompanied by the chirping of the cicadas! We'll always come back!

14/11/2025: I had a truly wonderful meal at Don Camillo in Taormina. Dishes prepared with fresh, top-quality Sicilian ingredients, authentic recipes, and flavors that respect tradition. The owner and all the staff were kind, welcoming, and attentive from start to finish. A place where you can experience true Sicilian hospitality. Highly recommended.

25/02/2026: We stopped here on a whim and had a very good meal (mussels, spaghetti carbonara, penne alla Norma). The dishes were not only perfectly prepared but also beautifully presented. We didn't have to wait long. A true professional with a passion for their work is at work here. The server was probably still in training, but very attentive and friendly. However, the clientele was quite small, consisting of only two couples.

25/02/2026: ⛔️AVOID THIS RESTAURANT I ordered the Crudo Royal (€30 - Scampi, Fish Carpaccio, Red Prawn, Tuna, Oyster) tonight. Please take a look at the picture to see what I actually received, aside from the quality. Waiting time: 45 minutes (in an empty restaurant!?) Plate check: loads of tiny scampi, tuna, red prawns (without tongs to crack them open), and some kind of white stuff. NO FISH CARPACCIO!!! NO OYSTER!!! On top of that, everything, EVERYTHING, was frozen, thawed (hence the long wait), and then marinated in oil. The poor, pale seafood was cold and slimy. He said it was oil... it was thawed stuff! Incredibly disgusting. I could only wash it down with white wine. I should have sent the plate straight back to the kitchen; this is completely unacceptable!!! Before paying, I wanted to know where the oyster was. I only just noticed the missing fish capaccio. The chef made excuses... nothing was delivered this evening, but he compensated. Compensated with what?! I ordered the most expensive appetizer, and he didn't want me to change my mind, so he decided to simply alter the dish for me. I wasn't asked beforehand, nor was I informed. That's incredibly disrespectful and dishonest. Communication is everything. Regarding the slimy leftovers, he claimed they were marinated. It's a disgrace that such a person is a chef in a restaurant; shame on you!!! I paid the €40 without further discussion, but he more than deserves this bad review. The waitress was only physically present. She never came by to ask if everything was alright, if I wanted another glass of wine. Nothing. A completely bizarre experience. If your health is important to you, please spend your money elsewhere!

Dining here feels like an experience rather than just a meal, excellent service, relaxing atmosphere, and unforgettable scenery. Whether you’re visiting for a romantic dinner or a casual lunch, Le Orologio delivers perfection in taste, ambiance, and view. Definitely one of the must-visit spots in the area!

14/10/2025: My mother and I arrived here. We had planned to eat, but we decided to have a glass of wine. So we asked for the menu and ended up giving it back because we only wanted a glass of wine. A grumpy face immediately appeared. Well, we just accepted that until the bill finally arrived. €20 for two glasses of house wine. How badly can you get ripped off? I'd say if you only want a drink, go somewhere else quickly, because they'll rip you off right here.

The quality of the ingredients is excellent, the originality of the dishes is undeniable, and the service and hospitality are top-notch. Barbara and Thomas pampered us with extreme kindness and friendliness, guiding us through our gastronomic journey step by step with dedication and expertise. Chef Adriano is a guarantee, making every dish a masterpiece. Highly recommended 😊

23/01/2026: …after dining at this restaurant in the summer, I had the pleasure of organizing a post-meeting business lunch… …I must admit that over time I had lost hope of eating at a seafood restaurant without leaving the table feeling disappointed…there's so much fluff these days, and so little quality and substance in the dishes…. Manueliana's corner, however, rekindled my hopes…and with her take on seafood cuisine, featuring high-quality, generous dishes, she definitely won me over… Manueliana and her staff know how to welcome you, adding style and friendliness as their secret ingredient…a subtle elegance that's noticeable but never makes you feel uncomfortable, and impeccable cleanliness make the restaurant a place you can't wait to return to. I felt like a welcome guest…not a customer…and that only happens when someone puts passion before business…. Thanks again, and see you soon.

02/10/2025: A restaurant worth a detour. Run for 21 years by the couple Manuel, in the kitchen, and Eliana, the hostess. The digital menu showcases beautiful dishes, including antipasti, pronk, and secondi. The dolce are also highly recommended. We started with ravioli filled with fish, presented in a lovely fish sauce. We also had linguine with pink prawns. It came with a superb sauce and beautifully balanced in flavor. We continued with the crispy fresh fish of the day. Perfectly cooked! The same was true for the Scottish steak tagliata. It came with a green salad with some Parmesan and oil. Delicious! We finished with a cannelono filled with ricotta and a warm flan with a liquid pistachio filling. A delicious bottle of Grillo accompanied it, a beautiful white with character. Everything was served with humor and expert advice. A truly memorable place.
