03/04/2024: Few tables, nice place. The true flavors of the Aeolian Islands, the herbs, the aromas, the raw materials of the islands, very crunchy homemade bread. Dishes packaged with meticulous care and refinement. The owner Maurizio personally takes orders, competently advises customers and carefully monitors the kitchen and room service. Prices more than fair. Tasting menu at 30 euros including drinks. It is the best place we have frequented between Stromboli and Vulcano.

23/03/2024: Lunch on 03/23/2023, a place concentrated in a few tables and comfortable seats, located right on the national road. Friendly and professional staff. Simple but well-kept location. Excellent service and good food. Decent choice of dishes. We had tuna caponata as an appetizer, then swordfish chops and a slice of pauro, all very good, perhaps the portions could have been a little larger. Average prices. Unisex but clean bathrooms.

06/04/2024: Excellent meal this lunch at Al Giardino. The catch of the day (bluefin tuna) was excellent and the tiramisu fantastic! Excellent value. We will definitely return there if we pass through Taormina again!

06/10/2023: Su consiglio dell' host del nostro b&b ci siamo ritrovati in questo splendido angolo di Lipari per ammirare uno dei tramonti più belli delle Eolie. I proprietari ci hanno subito accolto facendoci sentire a casa e, una volta raggiunta la sala per la cena, la qualità alta dei prodotti e la tradizione eoliana si sono sposati per farci degustare una delle cene più buone di Lipari. Ristorante a conduzione familiare dove passione, competenza e professionalità convivono e fanno la differenza. Grazie per aver reso il nostro soggiorno sull'isola speciale. P.s. complimenti alla mamma suocera per le sue capacità culinarie. Un saluto dalle guide turistiche napoletane!

22/10/2023: Come da titolo. Si tratta di una trattoria ultra spartana ( con annesso alloggio ) quasi in cima alla montagna verso Gelso. Premetto che il personale è carino ed abbastanza accudente ma con un locale del genere ( arredi , interni , tavola e suppellettili ) con una cucina casalinga , con piatti normalissimi della tradizione locale , con una posizione sperduta sui bricchi … come fai applicare dei prezzi del genere ? Il tema non è il costo totale in se ( minimo 60/70 euro a testa oltre il bere ) ma cercare di offrire un prezzo congruo a quello che si propone non solo in tavola ma anche alla vista degli occhi. Peccato , secondo me si punta , in modo miope , alla batosta e non rivedere più i clienti una seconda volta. NON CONSIGLIO in zona c’è di meglio. PS: vedo anche molti recensori con una sola review, fattore che mi fa pensare non tanto bene sulla qualità delle valutazioni … a buon intenditor …

15/10/2023: Ottimo ristorante, una cucina locale molto curata. Consiglio vivamente la frittura di verdure e panelle. Unico consiglio che mi sento di dare è di aggiornare o di curare un po’ di più l’arredamento perché è un po’ fermo nel tempo.

24/03/2024: I had the pleasure of having lunch at this charming seafront restaurant and I was absolutely captivated by the experience. The quality of the food is exceptional. Each dish is a celebration of the flavors of the sea!! The seafood appetizer was truly exceptional. The staff is courteous, attentive and professional. The service was impeccable, helping to make the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to spend a special evening immersed in the beauty of the sea and good food.

19/03/2024: We visited restaurants in February, there wasn't much to choose from as the season hadn't started yet. Tempted by the reviews, we went to Garden da Nino. We ordered pasta with seafood. To start with, we received very good bread, then we were served pasta, which visually looked okay, but the entire dish had absolutely no taste. Like they literally mixed the pasta with some shells and shrimp. There was no smell of any spices/oil/butter/wine or anything. It was a disappointment as we paid over 40 euros for two pastas and water. The decor of the place is also average - maybe they care more about it in the season. Apart from a larger organized group, we were the only guests in the place. On the plus side, the seafood seemed to be fresh. Very polite and nice service.

21/03/2024: The restaurant is closed, even though Google says it is open. Currently, it is under construction.

08/01/2024: A lovely and family-friendly beach with fair prices and excellent coffee. We spent one of our most beautiful holidays of 2023 here in October. Our then 7-month-old son was so happy there and saw and bathed in the sea for the first time. Grazie mille, ci vediamo!

13/11/2023: Ce restaurant est tenu par M Orazio du Patti, issu d’une famille qui a été depuis plusieurs générations dans le domaine de la pêche, sa connaissance des poissons ainsi que son enthousiasme se répercute sur le plat . Le produit passe en premier, car sa cuisson y est simple. Un plateau de poissons et de crustacés vous est proposé et vous choisissez vous-même votre menu. Son fameux tartare de thon rouge de Méditerranée est un must, accompagné d’épinards. Nous y avions déjeuné et dîné en dégustant un poisson différent à chaque fois. Donc idéal pour les amateurs de poissons !

16/10/2023: This was hands down the best meal we had while we were in Taormina. The pasta was outstanding. La Zegara seems to have seen veganism as a challenge to undertake, and offers creative, perfectly balanced totally plant based meals. The pistachio macaroni was a revelation, the pesto spaghetti totally spot on. The service was friendly, quick and efficient, which is always appreciated when half your table are impatient children. The house white wine was lovely too. We'll be doing our very best to recreate some of the dishes we had in our own home.

04/04/2024: A true Sicilian Chef capable of keeping traditions alive, with the highest quality! You eat very well but above all a lot, I also recommend a walk on the beach to make everything even more beautiful! GREAT CARLOTTA ❤️

04/03/2024: We had lunch with the fixed menu formula. €35 starters and first courses. The 14 starters were very good, apart from the mussels which seemed a little old. Starters I would give 4 and a half stars. The first courses were so and so, apart from the one with the swordfish sauce which was very good. Excellent service, the waiters were very friendly and effective (and even offered an encore of the courses). I highly recommend it if you want to have a quiet lunch, with lots of quality fish-based food.
