15/08/2025: We had a truly wonderful time at this restaurant! The dinner was delicious, every dish was thoughtfully prepared and rich in flavor. Special mention goes to the fries: simply delicious, crispy, and perfect! The staff was incredibly kind, always smiling and helpful. The atmosphere is very quiet and welcoming, perfect for a relaxing evening. We'll definitely be back!

13/08/2025: Wonderful experience. Excellent food, a must-visit if you're in Ortigia! The staff was also delightful, super friendly and attentive. Definitely worth repeating!

05/09/2025: Kind and excellent service! We tried the pasta penne with pesto and pistachio, delicious! The salad with tuna, fresh and abundant and for dessert tiramisu extremely recommended! And for take away the pizza funghi was super tasty!

25/04/2025: Old school vibe. Had assorted fried fish and shellfish, a massive plate of Pasta Alla Norma, swordfish past, and local dry white wine— so good! Papa Lardo runs the place and is very friendly.

19/07/2025: We were at this restaurant yesterday, the second shift, and I don't recommend the fixed fish menu. 1. The appetizer was poor and flavorless. 2. The first courses, mainly the seafood risotto, were watery and in some parts almost tasted plain. 3. The second courses, the fried fish and mussels were good. The calamari with its sauce was COLD and tasteless. I don't know what went on in the kitchen, but I'd heard good things about it. If so, I strongly advise against it.

12/07/2025: U Palangaru, renowned and now famous in Portopalo. One of the busiest restaurants, for sure. The strong points are definitely the atmosphere, which I've always found very relaxing, and the Chef's appetizer: Una Bomba. The only flaw? The overpriced first and second courses. In Portopalo, I still haven't found a restaurant that stands out from the crowd. The usual first courses with cherry tomatoes, pistachios, shrimp, etc. No one ever stands out. I recommend trying something new, the potential is there. The combination menu idea is also nice.

27/06/2025: Kinda place that you yearn for. Away from the bustle of the main drag. Absolutely top service from the team and food that you will remember for a long time. Divine Burrata, the MOST amazing carbonara and the grilled octopus which has to be the best so far. Top marks and at very fair and reasonable prices. Excluding drinks €50 for two and we were stuffed.

04/09/2025: A restaurant with a terrace overlooking the marina. We had a brusiata with trizzana and a brusiata with swordfish. What can I say, it's been a while since I've had such good pasta... too bad I didn't take a couple of photos, I'll have to go back 😜

21/06/2025: Una cena tra amiche che si è trasformata in un piccolo viaggio di gusto e accoglienza. Siamo state da Corte dei Bischeri in tre, e fin dal primo momento ci siamo sentite coccolate e benvenute. Il merito è anche del proprietario, attento, disponibile e gentilissimo, che ha saputo accompagnarci nella scelta dei piatti e del vino con garbo e competenza. Abbiamo iniziato con un crudo di pesce freschissimo, elegante nella presentazione e impeccabile nel sapore, e proseguito con un’orata pescata in crosta di sale, che ci è stata servita al tavolo con grande maestria. In accompagnamento, uno spumante etneo metodo classico che ha esaltato ogni boccone. Tra le chicche del menu, meritano una menzione le ostriche, vera specialità della casa, e un piatto raro e sorprendente: l’occhio di bue, noto anche come “di San Giovanni”, che non si incontra spesso e che qui viene valorizzato con rispetto e creatività. Abbiamo scoperto questo delizioso ristorante grazie alla nostra amica Rosalba, catanese d’adozione ma di cuore regalbutese, che ci ha fatto un regalo prezioso. E come se non bastasse, il proprietario ci ha anche suggerito dove pranzare il giorno dopo, mandandoci da Re Carlo V in via del Plebiscito per gustare le tipiche polpette di cavallo: consiglio azzeccatissimo. Un luogo che unisce la qualità della cucina alla cura per l’ospite. Torneremo sicuramente.

01/06/2025: A magnificent setting at the foot of Palazzo Biscari, ideal for al fresco dining. The fish is fresh and well-presented, which inspires confidence, and some dishes are truly well-executed. That said, the overall experience sometimes lacked a little precision or seasoning depending on the dish. The service is decent but could have been a little more attentive. A good place despite a few details that could be improved.

18/08/2025: We dined at this restaurant on the recommendation of a local, and were delighted with the quality of the food. We sampled traditional dishes, including truly delicious couscous: unique, refined, and flavorful, carefully prepared by the owner's mother—an authentic touch you can taste! The service was good, with the owner and staff (including the chefs we met) very kind and friendly. The atmosphere was pleasant, although the location of the outdoor tables leaves something to be desired: unfortunately, you eat just a few inches from the road, with cars passing by, which slightly detracts from the experience. The price is appropriate for the quality, fair, and justified by the quality of the dishes. Overall, a restaurant we definitely recommend to anyone looking for authentic local cuisine, but be careful not to expect a particularly intimate setting.

20/07/2025: I had one of the most beautiful culinary experiences here. The waiters are extremely professional, super presentable, very attentive to details and communicative, they instantly change your mood to a good one. The food is delicious (whatever you order from the menu) and is authentically Sicilian from the freshest ingredients. They also have a rich collection of wines, both Sicilian and international, and the staff can guide you for the right pairing. It is an authentic trattoria, as it should be, and the welcome was exceptional.

10/07/2025: Excellent staff. The wine cellar is equally excellent... and the food is equally excellent. A 5-star venue. Friendly, serene. Perfect for couples, families, and groups. But with elegance. Dim lighting, and a menu with daily, high-quality new dishes. I chose the pasta with grouper ragù, breadcrumbs, raisins, and capers, and a simple grilled swordfish with a nice glass of Lucido. Well-cooked dishes and generous portions. Not to be missed, even if it doesn't have a sea view.
