11/10/2025: Recommended by a friend, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. There was little attention paid to the table, and the two entrees we ordered had too much lemon juice, which overpowered the flavors of the fish. The consistency was also too soupy. We left almost everything and didn't order anything else, but I don't rule out the possibility that it was just our taste buds. The bill didn't take anything into account. It was also expensive.

07/10/2025: If you want to taste salt in your mouth, then go for it without hesitation. 2 possibilities: nothing is homemade and they add broths everywhere, where the cook doesn't taste his dishes and he should rethink his cooking. In any case, for the price-quality ratio, move on.

09/06/2026: If you love real fresh fish, treated with respect and great expertise, this seafood trattoria is a must-visit. Probably the best fish I've ever eaten in the entire province: excellent, incredibly fresh ingredients, carefully selected, and meticulously crafted. Special praise goes to the chef, a highly talented professional with a gastronomic sensibility, already recognized and celebrated several times by the industry press. Her cuisine manages to enhance each ingredient with balance, flavor, and refinement, allowing the seafood to be the true protagonist of the dish. I really can't say which dish is my favorite; everything was truly delicious! Every course reflects passion, experience, and love for the region. The service was very friendly and expert, and a special thanks to the manager who recommended an excellent wine and described the dishes with patience and precision. The atmosphere was authentic and the quality was evident from the first to the last bite. Sincere compliments to the entire staff, who work in synergy with great skill and preparation. The guy at the cashier is super friendly, and they really make you feel at home. A Messina province excellence that deserves to be known and appreciated. I'll definitely be back!

27/05/2026: A spacious restaurant with a view of the Strait, but the view is limited in the cold season due to the covered roof, but we did feel a bit chilly. The service staff immediately took notice of us as a couple, and after a while, our order arrived. The appetizers, first courses, and fried food were all absolutely delicious and plentiful. I recommend the appetizer and first course menu or the appetizer and second courses menu. The zeppola offered for the feast of St. Joseph was very welcome. Update May 2026 I confirm the quality and abundance of the meals, the friendly and fast service, truly excellent. I'm upgrading the overall rating to 5 stars because, despite the events being held in a large room, the quality of the service and the wait were excellent. The fried food, delicious, had a delicate flavor, and the smell of fried oil was completely absent.

06/05/2026: La Stiva has been our favorite restaurant for many years. Excellent, fresh, and plentiful food, with a friendly yet professional atmosphere. We were there yesterday and had a wonderful meal: special mention for the seafood risotto. The panoramic view is beautiful and the price-quality ratio is excellent. You couldn't ask for more!

15/05/2026: Our visit to Vecchia Marina was truly a special experience. The restaurant is strategically located right on the beach – perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy fresh fish and then take a dip in the sea. For our starter, we chose the "Crudo di Mare del Giorno" for two. And it was absolutely the right choice! Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious. Those unfamiliar with raw fish might hesitate at first. But even I, with my sensitive stomach, had absolutely no problems afterward. For our main course, we ordered "Pesce del Giorno alla griglia o alla pizzaiola" – a red snapper to share between the two of us. The fish was extremely fresh and simply tasted superb. We especially appreciated that the waiter asked if we wanted the fish filleted. Of course: Yes! The fish was filleted very professionally; they even remembered the delicious cheeks. A word of caution: If your budget is on the tight side, you might want to think twice before ordering. The fish currently cost €8 per 100 grams – and it was definitely not a small fish 😄. So you can imagine the final price. For dessert, we had a coffee mousse with ladyfingers. It reminded me a bit of tiramisu, but a simpler and lighter version. If you love fresh fish and your budget allows, I can highly recommend this restaurant. Many thanks also to the restaurant team for letting us change even after 3:30 pm (after swimming), even though the restaurant officially closes at 3 pm. We found that to be very kind and thoughtful.

There's no point beating around the bush: you come here for Carletto's expertly crafted swordfish rolls.

05/04/2026: Carletto in Sant'Angela di Militello was a truly pleasant experience. Everything was excellent, from the welcome to the service, and, of course, the food. Among the dishes, the swordfish rolls stand out, a true house specialty: tender, flavorful, and grilled. A delicacy truly worth trying.

Acquadelferro has a very refined atmosphere, dominated by the colors I love, which convey a sense of serenity and tranquility. Furthermore, you can admire a picturesque landscape from its windows. I spent my 30th birthday there and it was a wonderful evening. Highly recommended!!

We reserved a table for 2 pm, our food arrived at 2:30 pm, and by 2:45 pm they were already rushing us out because they were closing… we hadn't even finished our wine, dessert, or coffee, and they wouldn't let us order anything. If there's not enough time to eat because they close at 3 pm, shouldn't they not take reservations at 2 pm?

18/08/2025: A simply unforgettable dinner in the heart of Ortigia! We started with a breathtaking appetizer: a fresh, flavorful, and top-quality tuna tartare, which immediately raised the bar. Then came the fried fish: crispy, light, perfectly executed, and accompanied by a truly amazing sauce. But the real spectacle came with the first courses: the shrimp and pistachio spaghetti was an explosion of flavor with every bite—sea and land came together in an embrace that was almost touching. And then... the sea urchin carbonara. Words are insane. A dish worthy of UNESCO World Heritage status, a unique and perfectly balanced combination that deserves every possible applause. The staff? Simply exceptional. The chef deserves an award, and the chef's wife was exceptionally kind, always with a sincere and welcoming smile. We left the restaurant so satisfied that we wanted to take up residence nearby, just to return more often. An experience that goes far beyond just eating: here, you can experience a passion for cooking. Highly recommended!

18/05/2026: We had lunch here on our way back from Erice. The atmosphere is very refined, and I loved everything about it, both the food and the wine. My son had a divine pasta with meat sauce!! A special mention to the lady who served us; she was very friendly and patient, even with our one-year-old.

03/05/2026: As a true Sicilian, "tinchitè" means "abundant," "fullness," "to eat one's fill." I must say I was left starving. The tinchitè appetizer was served for two, but it wasn't even enough for one. The first course, too, was a meager plate of busiata pasta. On the other hand, the quality of the product was excellent. In short, the only thing that was unrelated to tinchitè was the exorbitant price.
