14/07/2025: Fresh fish...let's just say...I expected better after eating real fresh fish! Rude staff, arrogant owner...I definitely won't be back. I'd rather spend my evenings elsewhere! I don't recommend it!!

13/07/2025: My experience was negative. Unfortunately, the promoter insisted on luring me in for lunch. The pasta was bland and flavorless, and the staff was rude. I'll never go back!

06/09/2025: I've known it for a while, and I had no doubts. At Pivo Restaurant, you'll find friendliness, professionalism, and quality, but ultimately, "quantity." I didn't remember these portions being truly satisfying. Prices are average, and these days it's hard to find a place where your food and your wallet are in harmony. I highly recommend it.

11/08/2025: Nice seafood restaurant in Avola. Parking: More or less, it's located in the streets near the restaurant. Location: Very nice, new, modern, on several floors, clean. Food: Good, nothing to complain about, although they misread our order and brought us the wrong dishes. Area for improvement: The air conditioning is too low; we asked for it to be turned up, but it didn't improve the situation. It's embarrassing; you can't dine in that incredibly cold weather. QR code to order: Aside from the fact that no one told us it was there (we wasted 20 minutes waiting for the menus), in a "chic" restaurant like this, it's more friendly and polite to have paper menus, to avoid the "pub" effect. Honestly, I wouldn't return, even though the food is very good. Kudos to Mattia, a friendly waiter who always looked after us with tenacity and professionalism, and a touch of humor when needed! Well done, Mattia!

25/07/2025: We stopped by for dinner a week ago, flying over from Palermo airport. It's a lovely, quaint, and quiet place. I've never had such good panelle, and the pizza was also very popular. The fish was also very good, with generous portions! They even offered a delicious local liqueur at the end of the meal! We had such a great time that we came back! The staff was friendly and helpful!

08/07/2025: locale si arriva tramite un viale ,parcheggio esterno esso è elegante interni rustici ,pavimenti in cotto, mura in pietra ,ed esterni noi abbiamo cenato all' esterno sul prato curato ed intimo (un po' di musica di sottofondo non sarebbe stata male..) il cameriere gentile e simpatico , la titolare sorridente e con modi gentili ci ha proposto dei fuori menu' che abbiamo trovato allettante abbiamo preso antipasti caldi buoni e non unti, 3 piatti di pasta di pesce e 2 pizze piatti abbondanti e ricchi . tempi d'attesa nella norma conto giusto da tornarci e provare altro

02/09/2025: The food was actually really delicious! Fresh fish and shellfish, there were 5 of us and all had different dishes and all were perfect to the person who chose them but if i am baiest for me the Ravioli di Cernia were top tier🤗 And it is a nice easy ambient next to the coast do that felt nice as well^^ The staff was very kind and attending to us nicely so i have to give them a shout out as well😄🫶 I would recommend :)

30/08/2025: A must-see every year❤️As a Neapolitan, and a true food connoisseur, I can assure you that the fish, in addition to being super fresh, is cooked in a superlative way!!!

15/08/2025: The restaurant is right next to the street but nicely fenced so you don't have to worry about children. There were seven of us so the staff allowed us to put two tables together. Prices are affordable considering the restaurant is almost right next to the beach. Parking is a little harder to find but the street is long so you can find one a little further from the restaurant.

12/08/2025: Highly recommended if you're craving meat. The menu is excellent, as is the service. In short, the stay was very pleasant with beautiful views of the sea.

17/07/2025: Arrivando dalla Sardegna, quando il mio compagno della zona mi ha proposto di cenare in questo locale, avendoci mangiato molti anni fa, sono andata di impulso a vedere le recensioni, tante, di cui circa la metà non proprio positive. Anche se mi è saltato subito all' occhio che le recensioni positive erano molto elevate, quindi ho voluto dare fiducia. Premetto che Sferracavallo merita di essere visitata e la cena gustata con i dovuti tempi, eravamo preoccupati perché in alcune recensioni si faceva riferimento alla fretta dei camerieri nel voler liberare il tavolo...Smentisco assolutamente questo aspetto. Siamo arrivati per le 21 e con molta sorpresa devo ammettere che alle 21.05 già ci venivano servite le prime pietanze di antipasti a base di frittura di calamari e gamberi, insalata di polpo, sarde e alici, gamberi in salsa rosa, ostriche e cozze, tutto saporito, in abbondanza e freschissimo. Abbiamo assaporato tutto con calma, accompagnando il tutto con un ottimo vino della zona. I tre primi serviti successivamente ugualmente buonissimi: risotto con gamberetti e asparagi, spaghetti alle vongole (ottimi) e pasta tipica con un sugo a base di pesce, menta e finocchietto, molto particolare e saporito ( per palati sopraffini). Per non parlare dell' ottimo e fresco trancio di pesce spada alla griglia servito alla fine, accompagnato da uno spiedino di gamberi impastellati e panati, ugualmente molto particolari e saporiti. Devo ammettere che a scapito delle recensioni negative sono rimasta sbalordita dalla gentilezza del personale, ma dulcis in fundo alle h.22.15 il cameriere che porta in cucina le cassette di gamberi appena consegnati, freschi sotto ghiaccio ci ha lasciato veramente meravigliati, a conferma della freschezza dei prodotti utilizzati. Ottimi sapori e meravigliosi profumi del mare siciliano. Siamo andati via alle 23,00 più che sazi e soddisfatti per un menù degustazione di 35€, soldi spesi benissimo. Speriamo di riuscire a ritornarci presto.

16/07/2025: Every time I go to Palermo, Il Delfino in Sferracavallo is a must. The food is truly delicious! The menu is extensive: numerous appetizers, three first courses, a second course, sorbet, and wine... all for only €35 per person. The waiters are always kind and helpful, despite the large influx of customers that fills the restaurant every day. The price is more than fair for the quality and quantity of food offered. An authentic trattoria, where tradition and hospitality truly shine. Top marks!

05/07/2025: Location that could be truly enchanting. The garden has truly unexpressed potential, as does the structure. It's a shame to see that there is no overall vision. Waiters wandering around confused with dishes in hand... they would compulsively approach and then leave... music (radio station with lots of advertising) in the ears... food of truly dubious quality. Dishes arranged with little understandable combinations (mint in the pasta and in the caponata... oh well...). The caponata cold from the fridge with two mint leaves on top... all in a stew of oil, as well as the pasta (fish, cherry tomatoes and here too... mint!!!). The wine? A grillo... in Sicily you can never go wrong with the grillo... it's a shame it was completely Marsala... obviously here they don't even know what tasting is. So for a caponata flavored with mint, a mint pasta, two glasses of Marsala wine and a water (this one is good)... all this for just under 40 euros... I'll leave the evaluations to you...

26/08/2025: This place was awesome and reasonably priced. Just out of the main area (by like 30 seconds). Great vibes, incredible pasta (reminded me of tuscan pasta). Try the pork ragu and the pistachio ravioli and thank me later. Finished off with the salt crusted sea bass and it was also incredible. Best meals we have had here. Servers were awesome too. Great place.

26/08/2025: We went there during our vacation, what a disappointment. Uncomfortable location, overly salty food, poor service. Paid a lot for very average quality food.

01/09/2025: I visited for work with a colleague and found the place quite busy, which is definitely a positive sign. We were greeted with kindness and personality, and after perusing the menu, we asked the waiter for advice, who suggested some off-menu dishes. We also chose the pappardelle with black truffle, which had just arrived: we saw it with our own eyes as they were preparing it. A truly pleasant experience, made special by the care and quality of the products.

25/08/2025: **English below** ------------- My Monday lunch experience in brief: almost an hour's wait for three plates of overcooked pasta, despite there being about 15 people in total. Several dishes on the menu were only partially available or unavailable due to a lack of certain ingredients. Overall, the food tasted okay. The waiters were friendly. Pizza was unavailable at lunch. The place certainly doesn't deserve one star, but not more than three. I don't know if I'll return, but if I do, I hope to have a better experience. I'm attaching a photo of the seafood linguine, which was certainly a generous portion, but the sauce was completely runny (the consistency of water). Note that clams were unavailable (as were other ingredients), so I hope this is an exception and not the norm. It should be noted that in the absence of clams, an extra langoustine and mussels were added, which was at least a welcome gesture. -------------- My experience in a nutshell: a wait of almost an hour for three plates of overcooked pasta, even though only about 15 people in total were there. Several dishes on the menu were unavailable or partially available due to a lack of ingredients. The food tasted okay overall. The waiters were kind. Pizza isn't available for lunch. The place certainly doesn't deserve 1 star, but not more than 3 either. I'm not sure if I'll go back, but if I do, I hope to have a better experience. I've attached a photo of the linguine allo scoglio, with a portion that was certainly generous but the sauce was completely watery. You can somewhat see this in the bottom part of the image, although it's not very clear - my bad for running away without taking any pictures after not even finishing the dish. I want to stress though that clams (clams) weren't available - like other ingredients - so I really hope the look of the dish is exceptional and not the norm. I must say that in the absence of clams, an extra scampo and some extra mussels were added, which was at the very least a thoughtful gesture. Oh and by the way I'm a local - I think it's worth mentioning it, just in case someone thinks that I'm a tourist and I know nothing about Italian cuisine.

26/08/2025: Very good restaurant. The food is very good and the portions are very generous. You can eat à la carte or choose a set menu. The access road is very steep and narrow. The restaurant is quite far from the village; only the castle, which is not really worth the detour, is nearby.

23/08/2025: An excellent gastronomic experience, with expertly prepared and abundant dishes, friendly and helpful staff, and a welcoming and peaceful atmosphere.

26/08/2025: Beautiful and very welcoming location. We reserved a table just an hour in advance and had to wait half an hour for it to become available, but while we waited, they seated us on comfortable chairs in the garden adjacent to the outdoor dining area. Fast and attentive service, with very friendly and helpful staff. All the food was excellent, but a special mention goes to the Pizza Pistacchiosa: a true delight! We hope to return soon.
