06/09/2025: For years, my partner, my son, and I have been lovingly going to Al Vecchio Mulino, and we highly recommend it! The fried calamari is second to none, as are many other dishes, always fresh and flavorful. During high season (when we can go!), it's advisable to book because, given the exceptional quality, the restaurant is always deservedly packed! The prices are fair! It's located in the heart of Alghero's charming historic center, so parking isn't very close; you have to walk a short distance to get there. The staff is friendly and helpful! 05/09/2025: Impossible to book. I've made I don't know how many calls. It's already been my second week! It won't make a difference to you if you have one more or one fewer customer, I know, but I expressed my opinion; that alone shows the quality of the service offered.

01/10/2025: Excellent aperitif, but prices weren't transparent. The meat platter was €26 on the outside, but on the receipt it was €28. Furthermore, a 10% surcharge was applied, which wasn't mentioned on any menu, nor was it communicated verbally or otherwise. The platter was well-stocked. The chicken meatballs were still raw at the core; we reported this, but I think it's a mix-up that can happen to anyone. Overall, we liked it!

09/10/2025: If you're passing through Cagliari, you have to stop at La Balena. A trattoria that offers only the catch of the day, prepared according to tradition. The atmosphere is very rustic and stands out from all the other restaurants; it feels like stepping back in time. The menu is written on the blackboard, and Gigi manages all the tables himself. 01/10/2025: We start badly with the owner who lets us in as if he were doing us a favor (spoiler alert: we're paying you, and a lot, so you're not doing anyone a favor) and puts us at a table in a terrible location, in a walk-through area where every now and then there's someone almost inside their plate (tables need to be properly positioned; if you can't fit 100, don't put them there; customers should be able to eat as God intended. Everyone.) Things get worse with the waitress looking at you condescendingly if you don't order wine or expensive dishes, but only pizza. We end on a high note, again with the owner dismissing us condescendingly. If you want a pleasant evening, a word of advice: don't go to this place.

24/09/2025: A wonderful lunch buffet experience with cover charge, drinks, and desserts included. You can eat everything from meat to fish, but also lots of vegetables. During the week, it costs very little: 16 euros for an all-inclusive lunch. On the weekend, it costs a little more, but it's definitely worth it.

The legume brittle was very popular, since often the only vegan option is grilled vegetables. Delicious and original! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Recommended.

08/08/2025: Abbiamo soggiornato a Quartu Sant’Elena per una settima e abbiamo cenato in questo ristorante per ben tre volte. Abbiamo sempre mangiato pesce e la qualità dei piatti era veramente altissima. Disponibili molti piatti senza glutine o comunque riadattabili. Il personale era molto attento alla celiachia oltre ad essere molto professionali e simpatici, ma non invadenti. Consigliatissimo!! Piatto secondo me più buono: pasta con astice!

The menus offered at the restaurant we chose were exceptional. The entire hotel is meticulously maintained, with ample parking available for guests. Three wonderful days with Marcello, who deserves a solid A+. Thank you ❤️

02/10/2025: Delicious homemade pasta, seafood, and mussels. Very friendly service. Not very inviting from the outside, but the food is worth a stop. We'd gladly return!
