13/10/2025: Unfortunately, it didn't live up to expectations: the two of us ordered two appetizers (octopus salad and Catalan-style shrimp) and a "superior" (?) fried fish. They assured us they used only fresh products, so I won't contradict them. I will say, however, that the taste, on the palate, was that of frozen products, and not even prime quality. Several dishes on the menu were unavailable. The atmosphere was surreal: Friday evening (October 3rd), 9 pm, with Carloforte full, we were the only two tables for the entire dinner. Important fact: €97 for two appetizers, a main course, a still wine, and two glasses of white wine. Something to reconsider...

25/09/2025: Friendly staff, especially Sofia, who found the perfect table for us. The dishes were very good, although the appetizers were a bit small. However, with the appetizer, main course, and dessert, you'll leave feeling just the right amount full. The Vento da Ma white wine was excellent (recommended by the staff). The spaghetti with squid ink is the restaurant's specialty and certainly lived up to expectations. Reservations are recommended well in advance.

10/10/2025: I celebrated my wedding there in 1997. Back then, with Torre and Mario as chefs. 😊 It was an absolutely fantastic celebration with the best food! I hope all my friends there are still doing well? Best, Rudi We've been back for dinner twice now, and it was truly excellent. 👨‍🍳🖖

12/10/2025: The pizza and restaurant are excellent. The staff are very friendly, and the Roman waitress is fun and friendly. An excellent choice!

12/10/2025: A friendly restaurant with excellent food. We visited twice: the first time we ordered two courses, the second time we ordered the "gigante" pizzas—they are truly enormous, delicious, and very reasonably priced. The multi-course meal was also authentic and a delight. The price for ordering multiple courses was also reasonable, especially compared to the more touristy restaurants in the center of Villasimius. The fact that locals eat at Santa Maria speaks volumes. Our dog was also welcome. Advance reservations are recommended. It gets very busy right away when it opens, but things relax later in the evening. Highly recommended!

04/10/2025: We were here for dinner and had a pizza, a pasta dish, a large water, and a chocolate soufflé for dessert. The pasta was delicious, although quite expensive at €15. The pizza was okay, and at €12, definitely a tourist price. Unfortunately, the chocolate soufflé was just a Metro soufflé topped with a bit of whipped cream and cheap chocolate syrup. The water bottle was a simple plastic one you could buy in a store for 69 cents, but it cost €3 in the restaurant. There were three cats in the restaurant itself, which was a bit odd. Unfortunately, we didn't feel at home and felt like it was more of a tourist trap.

04/10/2025: Great restaurant. It may not look that inviting at first glance, but it's always worth a visit because the food and the friendliness are top-notch! We'll be back!

03/10/2025: Delicious wine. Friendly, fast service. Nice outdoor seating. The food was delicious and the price was good! The desserts were also a hit.

30/09/2025: A good dinner without a reservation. Friendly and helpful staff quickly set up a table for four after 9 pm. Excellent wine list and a good menu selection. The location is very central, almost on the waterfront, but still with a good view.

13/10/2025: A bit hidden away, but fantastic. Beautifully presented, a wonderful, peaceful atmosphere, excellent food, and superb cuisine. To finish, we had a Caffè Corretto San Buco. Absolutely delicious.

08/10/2025: Recommended by a local, this restaurant was a wonderful discovery! The atmosphere is quiet and intimate, perfect for those traveling with children. We were two adults with an 11-month-old baby: the waitress was attentive, helpful, and helped us find dishes suitable for him. We shared an appetizer and a first course, then two second courses (one off the menu) recommended based on seasonality. All the fish dishes were excellent: very fresh, carefully cooked, and truly delicious. The house wine was also excellent. We finished with a homemade seada and a glass of myrtle: a perfect finale. We felt welcomed and at ease, which isn't always a given when traveling with a small, lively child. Excellent food, quality fish, and impeccable service. Highly recommended—and if we return to the area, they'll definitely see us again!

04/10/2025: I went in for a quick pizza, but when you're sitting on the terrace overlooking the castle and you hear the mopeds passing by...it creates a nice Italian atmosphere. I stayed until the evening :) The pizza was very good, as were the other dishes, including dessert. P.S. Be sure to try Caffè d'orzo

01/10/2025: Very friendly staff, who immediately welcomed us and our dog. Extra water for the dog was provided without us having to ask. Our order was taken quickly, and special requests were no problem. The food was ready super quickly and tasted great. Beautiful view. Highly recommended.

19/10/2025: We waited 1 hour and 20 minutes without being served, "that's understandable..." up to a certain point. Unfortunately, our last experience was anything but positive. Let me start by saying that we've been loyal customers for many years, and after this experience, I don't think we'll be returning, given what happened. Lunch on Sunday, October 19th for 4 adults. After finishing the appetizer (mussel soup) at 2:00 PM, they literally left us at the table for an hour and a half until the main courses arrived at 3:20 PM! I should point out that after a 45-minute wait, I called a waiter, who said there would be a bit of a wait since the restaurant was almost full and they were preparing several of the main courses at once. After another half hour, I asked another waiter, who assured us that everything would be served within 4 minutes. Another 15 minutes passed, and the main courses arrived, with the waiter's apologies. Human error may have occurred due to the order being lost in the kitchen, but I find it shameful that no one paid attention to us for an hour and a half, and that the owner, at the time of payment, dismissed the situation as if there had been a slight delay, without even offering a token discount to apologize for the incident. She offered us coffee or liqueur, something they always do to all customers. Furthermore, I find it absurd that customers who go to the restaurant for lunch and dinner have to pay €4, even more absurd considering it's October, the low season. I'm sorry, but it seems they're more focused on making money and customers are seen more as numbers.

22/09/2025: We ordered two meat menus, all good except the very fatty and rubbery cold pork. The service was average, and the setting was nice and scenic.

21/09/2025: Nice place, 5-star appetizers and first courses. It's a shame the fried fish and shrimp aren't up to par with the other dishes. But it's a place I'd recommend. The white wine is excellent 😎
