10/10/2025: Bad choice, having read positive reviews I trusted the mussels au gratin burnt!!! Perhaps prepared previously and therefore reheated!!! Never again

08/10/2025: We have booked a table at this place basing on the Google reviews. Pizza and mussels menu looked very attracting. Unfortunately we were deeply disappointed with both service & dishes. Starting from uncomfortable chairs to extremely sluggish service and untasteful oversalted mussels. There are many much better places around.

29/10/2025: We were there in September and it was truly a gem. The food was excellent and the waiters were very friendly. We spent a wonderful afternoon on the terrace. Highly recommended if you're in Fertilia, as I don't think there's another place quite like this restaurant.

24/10/2025: Went for lunch. Was told much of the menu wasn't available as it was lunchtime(!), including pizza not offered at lunchtime for some strange reason. Annoyingly we only found this out after trying to order. All very odd despite being called Ristorante "Pizzeria" il Paguro! Roasted boar also wasn't available which was my second choice. So in the end we were left with a very limited selection of lunchtime choices which was disappointing. Outdoor patio gazebo is very nice to sit in, but unfortunately the roof structure helps the cigarette smoke to linger for all the non-smoking patrons while eating. Service seemed abit off to me, they weren't particularly busy at all but it almost felt like they were overwhelmed. Desserts were good, though nothing exceptional enough to make me return. I have many favourite restaurants in the Alghero/Fertilia area so don't think I'll be returning il Paguro.

14/10/2025: Stunningly beautiful hotel. Breakfast was well-prepared and everything was deliciously fresh. The evening meal was fantastic, and everything was freshly prepared. And the people who work there are super nice.

13/10/2025: A hotel with hidden charms. I stayed here for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. While I had to get past the decorum, it's certainly not unpleasant; the atmosphere is very homey. The rooms are spotless and the amenities are excellent. Of all the hotels I've stayed in on this island, the staff here are the most welcoming and approachable. This hotel is definitely recommended!

06/11/2025: An amazing place with true Italian flair. The atmosphere is unique, and the food is delicious. For two main courses and two glasses of wine, we paid around €50, so it wasn't cheap, but the Spaghetti all'Algherese was worth it.

04/11/2025: We had a mixed seafood appetizer for €20.00 per person, well prepared and presented; in my opinion, it could have been a little more generous. For the main course, grilled fish for €22.00 per person included a sea bass, a shrimp, a mini breaded calamari, and a piece of grilled squid. The sea bass, I thought, were farmed, both in flavor and size; they were all perfectly equal. The dish didn't include any side dishes unless ordered separately; perhaps a sprig of lettuce would have added color; it wouldn't have been a bad idea. Not including the first course and side dishes, with a dessert, coffee, and liqueur, it came to €58.00 per person.

29/07/2025: Location carina e tranquilla, menù fisso di pesce della tradizione sarda, cibo di qualità con porzioni proporzionate, giusto il rapporto con il prezzo, personale gentile ed accogliente.

07/11/2025: We went for lunch today, recommended by another restaurant owner. The atmosphere was welcoming, clean, and tidy, and the staff were friendly and cheerful. We ordered grilled pecorino, lobster linguine, malloreddus, octopus, and tiramisu. Everything was truly fresh, the fish was truly flavorful, and the octopus melted in our mouths! We'll definitely be back, and I highly recommend this place!
