26/08/2025: What a great restaurant, run by the loveliest family. Outside you enjoy a typical Piedmont view, and inside you sit in a charming old ruin. The family is truly exceptional – wonderful cooking, warm hospitality and great advice on both wine and food. We stayed in the Castello next to the restaurant and were lucky enough to eat here three times. We look back on it with great joy. Grazie!

21/06/2025: È stata una cena squisita sulla terrazza con vista. Siamo partiti da un antipasto leggero di pesce (fettine di spada e tonno) e tortino di melanzane, per passare ai primi dal gusto delicato (gnocchetti e ravioli), a seguire i secondi di carne (brasato e agnello) ma anche il salmone in crosta di sesamo. Abbiamo concluso il tutto con dei desserts ottimi. Il tutto accompagnato da un buonissimo barbera e dalla cortesia e simpatia del proprietario. L'impiattamento molto elegante ci ha permesso di assaporare il cibo dedicandogli il giusto tempo.

28/11/2025: I would like to express my profound disappointment over what happened at lunch on Sunday, October 10, when I used a "Portofino Menu for 2" gift voucher, purchased by me on September 23rd as a carefully chosen gift for two loved ones. When booking, the gift recipients clearly specified that they had the Portofino Menu voucher. However, once they arrived at the restaurant, they were informed that they could use the voucher "to choose whatever they wanted," thus revealing the value of the voucher, which I had intentionally concealed so as not to compromise the effect of the gift. Furthermore, the restaurant experience was far from what was envisioned in the purchased menu: • As an appetizer, a small piece of fondue tart was served; my brother-in-law, not eating cheese, politely asked for a variation, but it was never brought; • The first course, listed as Pacchero 72, was replaced with a pesto pasta with fish, different from the one described on the Portofino menu; • The second course, sea bass fillet with almonds, was also changed and served without almonds, but only with small vegetables. The service was quite confusing, and when it came to the bill (since there were three people), a difference was requested that included the desserts already included in the Portofino menu and even the three-person table service. Only after I pointed out the error did the cashier claim that they weren't included, but only the sorbet, which wasn't brought. In the end, the desserts were cancelled, but the two table service charges remained. I want to clarify that it's not a question of amount (it's only €6), but of principle and consideration for a carefully considered gift (I'm from Taranto and I searched carefully to offer a wonderful experience). I had chosen your restaurant based on the menu and the recipients' tastes, and less than a month after my reservation, I find that the menu itself has been changed, distorting the experience I was hoping to offer. I am sincerely sorry for what happened: not only was the gesture of the gift diminished by the revelation of the value of the voucher, but the quality and consistency of the service also did not meet expectations or the description of the menu purchased. I sent this email and their response: "Thank you for reporting the poor service. We have already reviewed the processes. We hope to have you back soon." Even more disappointed!

23/11/2025: Terrible experience, I don't recommend it to anyone who uses the The Fork app or who is NOT ITALIAN. My friend and I had booked at 9pm. When we arrived there, the owner made us come back after 1 hour. On our return, we waited again for 10 minutes to prepare the table. When we arrived, the owner didn't welcome us or anything, not even asking us about the reservations we had made on The Fork. When we sat down, the owner already started being rude towards my friend. We ate at prices that were too high and portions that were too small, considering that we were in a RESTAURANT, not in a STARRED restaurant, which should be a welcoming place, but it wasn't like that at all. We could already hear people sitting at a table saying various unpleasant things about us. We got to the end of dinner, went to the bathroom to wash our hands and leave, and we could hear people outside saying "Look at these Maranzas." As we were leaving and heading towards the exit, the owner told us that we had to pay €39, but we had already paid everything with the Yums, which were €50 for me and my friend, since we had 2 reservations for 2 tables, which the owner DIDN'T ASK FOR at the entrance. The owner started to get angry and rude towards us, discriminating against us and threatening to beat us up if we tried to talk to him, also asking me why I was speaking that way when I was only trying to be respectful towards him, since that's what he didn't do towards us. The owner claimed that in his opinion we didn't have half a euro, even comparing us to the public figure Don Ali, since he's our fellow countryman, claiming that we were being smart and threatening to lock us in the restaurant and beat us up. Only after the police arrived did the owner cancel a reservation on TheFork, but we still haven't received anything. Then, by saying "I'll just call him and he'll come down," everything was resolved by the police and a gentleman present. Terrible experience, the worst of my life. I don't recommend it if you're a young foreigner and if you use TheFork.

10/11/2025: La Vecchia Londra, on Corso Inghilterra, is a place I've been going to for 40 years. Partly because it's close to home and partly because it's had several owners over the years, but the food remains consistently good. In the early years, it was a very basic restaurant run by Neapolitans: the pizza was better than Cit Turin. Then, it was renovated and now it looks more like a French brasserie. The pizzas are excellent, with many varieties. The à la carte menu is also well-curated. The last time I went there, I had a pizza with gorgonzola and walnuts and a bunet for dessert. Everything was delicious. There are quite a few people who go there alone because it's a welcoming place and the prices are affordable. For me, it's a bit like being at home. The staff is very friendly.

09/05/2025: Locale che parla da solo appena ci mettete piede .. ad attendervi c’è la super Simona .. una cameriera bellissima e molto efficiente.. locale curato nei minimi particolari anche il bagno profumato .. mai sentito una cosa del genere .. attesa giusta e poi si parte con dei piatti che non si possono descrivere ma c’è solo da provare .. eravamo in 4 abbiamo preso 4 antipasti e 4 secondi .. dolci 2 vini e acqua .. poi grappe e caffè .. tot. 82,50 a testa .. prezzo onesto per la qualità e il servizio offerto .. simpatica anche la titolare che si è fermata x qualche minuto a parlare con noi … provatelo perchè qua si mangia da dio .. ovviamente accettano carta e fanno fattura..
