27/05/2026: we ordered a risotto which was simply wasn't made well. the rice was still hard, not properly cooked. we ordered caprese salad, we got a plate of sliced tomatoes and a chunk of mozzarella in the middle, they didn't even remove the stem of the tomato. olive oil and balsamic vinegar on the side, it was like we had to compile the salad ourselves. I ordered gnocchi, which was with goat cheese and didn't say so in the menu. the staff didn't offer to replace anything although I said it wasn't good for me and I didn't touch it at all. big disappointment. the atmosphere is nice, and the wine was good as well.

13/11/2025: Spectacular Italian-Persian restaurant! You can enjoy many traditional Iranian dishes, often with a touch of color and originality. The flavors are well-blended, never cloying or incomprehensible. From simple dishes to more sophisticated ones, you can't go wrong. And many Persian dishes aren't found in other similar restaurants! Ask the chef or the restaurant manager for guidance and recommendations. The selection of appetizers is excellent, as are the desserts! The price, for the quality, is very reasonable. Amazing place!

14/06/2026: The food, especially the fresh fish, was excellent. The service was pleasant and professional. The crowds were a bit rowdy for a place that's worth much more than its clientele (me first and foremost). The pizza was average.

12/07/2026: Excellent restaurant, I went once to try it, and a second time to confirm that it's perfect. The food was superb, and the service impeccable, provided by a smiling, friendly, and efficient team of young people. One small drawback: the woman at the reception ignored us; perhaps she has a problem with the French!

11/07/2026: This was an unfortunate dining experience. We saw they had a pistachio tiramisu on the menu and wanted to stop in for dessert one night on holiday to celebrate a birthday. We asked if we could order it for take away, and they said no. We said no worries, then could we sit for a quick dessert. They didn’t like the size of our group, and told us no to service. So we said okay, we will come back another day to try it. We then came back at lunch time, and zero people were in the entire restaurant. We sat and then ordered, and when they saw it was just dessert, they said oh no you have to leave. When we explained they literally said to come back in a smaller group for dining in, they said “fine” after asking for approval. We ordered to desserts and two glasses of wine to share for four people and it came out to 50 euros! They charged us 16 euros for service (4 per person), after already rudely not wanting to serve us. And we had to still go up to pay the bill… they didn’t even come to our table. Really silly and rude to charge 16 euros in service to bring two pre-made desserts (that weren’t excellent by the way) after already not wanting us to be there… really, when your restaurant is empty, you should be kind to patrons who are just trying to celebrate a birthday and asking for a quick dessert. I would choose somewhere more kind and less pricy for the quality. The price wasn’t worth the attitude and quality of the food - it was a rip off compared to other places.

13/07/2026: It was truly a revelation to have discovered, with my wife and daughter, a true "rare pearl" in the "Porta Genova" restaurant in Alessandria, where the freshest seafood specialties and exquisite pizzas reveal the highest quality, with care and refinement that truly deserve 5 infinite stars: we will definitely return to taste the delicacies on offer, recommending this restaurant with our eyes closed.

21/02/2026: The restaurant is welcoming, without too many seats, which I personally appreciate, as it makes the evening more liveable and convivial. Attentive service and an excellent selection of dishes allow you to create your own seafood tasting menu. The proportions, in my opinion, are just right. The flavors are easily recognizable, and the ingredients are fresh and cooked to perfection. I went there with my partner for an intimate dinner with our young daughter. They also take care of the little ones. Definitely worth a visit if you want to eat good seafood accompanied by an excellent selection of wines without having to look for a seafood restaurant. Recommended. The price for two complete menus with three appetizers, a choice of first course, a choice of second course, coffee, a bottle of wine, and a digestif is €130, which I'd say is fair.

08/02/2026: If you want to eat fish better than at the seaside, you can't go wrong here, excellent and that's an understatement.

17/06/2026: A nice place in the Porta Susa area. We ate really well, at reasonable prices. I recommend the gnocchi! 😋 The only downside is that it's really too noisy inside and it's hard to talk to other diners. Perhaps some sound-absorbing panels would help...

30/07/2026: This WAS our favorite restaurant for 5 years, but now we are never going again. We arrived at 1:30 PM and were stared at by the owner from start to finish; we were forced to finish our bottles of wine under pressure. She was not smiling and behaved unprofessionally. She would be better off stopping with lunches, as it all seems too much… food was fine - bread had a bit too much corn. New location is monotonous, no terrace anymore.

11/07/2026: Everything was excellent, the paella and sangria were superb. Excellent service and a fantastic owner. We've now made it a habit to go there every time we celebrate an event or anniversary. We'll be back soon 😁

16/07/2026: The pizza was really delicious, light and made with quality ingredients. The farinata was delicious. The place is small but cozy, and the staff were friendly. What can I say? The pizza is absolutely worth trying! We'll be back!
