14/03/2026: Dam a Traa has been a regular stop for me for many years, and now that I live far from Verbania, it's a real pleasure to stop by for a bite every time I return to the city. Whether you're in its rustic, osteria-like dining rooms in winter or at the tables near the lake in summer, the abundance, quality, and attentive service are guaranteed. The portions are gigantic and the dishes are truly excellent; furthermore, the fact that the menu changes frequently, while maintaining some signature dishes, makes each visit a new discovery. During my last dinner, I opted for fish and left feeling full and satisfied. The paccheri with diced swordfish, vegetables, Taggiasca olives, and capers were phenomenal: perfectly cooked pasta and a flavorful sauce that paired divinely with the fish. The real highlight, however, was the tuna steak: an absolute delight, tender and tasty even on its own, without the need for additional spices. Honorable mention goes to the trofie with pistachio cream and flambéed shrimp, a truly clever and successful combination. The price is incredibly fair, especially considering the excellent quality-to-quantity ratio.

This is a place where you should not only leave a review, but also file a police report. Permissiveness, rudeness, and aggression from a waiter with a tattoo on his arm.

Graziella immediately puts you at ease, highlighting the potential of her property, which will allow you to host a dream banquet. Excellent food, unique atmosphere. Highly recommended. ++++

The coffee and beer arrived quickly... They were delicious. They also served a small plate of bread and cheese... Great! ... We'd love to come back.

The food was excellent and high-quality, the service very professional, and the service was enriched with short videos about fishing and the work they do with passion and love for the lake. 06/01/2026: Divine! Christmas motorboat to the Island of Lights – Nativity scenes and flavors on Fishermen's Island: a truly special evening, one that will last a lifetime. For the lights event, we booked dinner at Ristorante Italia, on the island of the same name, and even our arrival on the water, amidst the Christmassy reflections and atmosphere, promised something unique. I'm not a fan of fish—especially lake fish—but I have to say that here they literally made me love it. Dishes of lake fish were divinely prepared, carefully presented, and passionately described by the owner: a talkative, pleasant, and deeply engaging person. Like the rest of the family, of course, but he in particular was able to guide us, with enthusiasm and expertise, in choosing the best they had to offer. The photos speak clearly and tell a lot, even if they can't fully convey the emotions we experienced at the table. Last but not least, the discovery that the restaurant also offers round-trip boat transportation to and from Baveno and Stresa. A boat piloted by the son: a detail that makes all the difference and makes the experience even more intimate, complete, and evocative. An evening of lights dancing on the water, authentic flavors, and genuine people. One to cherish forever.

12/03/2026: Courteous and friendly service, Fassone steak truly hand-chopped. Off-menu spaghetti with sauce was ordered, perhaps slightly overcooked, but acceptable. It was for the little girl, and perhaps she thought it should have been cooked a minute longer. The only flaw was the slightly dirty walls (a little too much).

21/02/2026: The restaurant is welcoming, without too many seats, which I personally appreciate, as it makes the evening more liveable and convivial. Attentive service and an excellent selection of dishes allow you to create your own seafood tasting menu. The proportions, in my opinion, are just right. The flavors are easily recognizable, and the ingredients are fresh and cooked to perfection. I went there with my partner for an intimate dinner with our young daughter. They also take care of the little ones. Definitely worth a visit if you want to eat good seafood accompanied by an excellent selection of wines without having to look for a seafood restaurant. Recommended. The price for two complete menus with three appetizers, a choice of first course, a choice of second course, coffee, a bottle of wine, and a digestif is €130, which I'd say is fair.
