Despite our recommendation for a generous serving of rice and perch, we were treated to dishes with extremely small portions, completely out of line with the price. We're truly sorry for the negative review, but unfortunately, the quality/price ratio is very poor, and that's the reality. We hope for improvement. Thank you.

20/04/2026: A lovely Sunday lunch was spent at this spacious restaurant right on the lake, with a breathtaking view. The food was truly delicious; the PERCH RISOTTO was excellent, incredibly tasty and, most importantly, not too heavy with butter (it tasted truly homemade). The portions were generous, as were the ROAST POTATOES and GRILLED ZUCCHINI. Another highlight was the PIZZA, thin and crispy, very tasty. The prices, in my opinion, are a bit too high. The staff was very friendly and, above all, quick.

06/05/2026: Stopped here to just enjoy a couple of drinks and people watch,it's perfect for that. Enjoyed the snacks they brought to the table and decided to order some mussels to share. They were lovely and tasted fresh. The staff were good,though I think a couple were new and after ordering some more drinks,they seemed to have forgotten. No problem though,we asked someone else (i can only assume he was in charge of the staff)who apologised and brought them straight out. Atmosphere was good,lots of people chatting and just watching the world go by. 3 young men across the road were playing their violins too,which just added to the whole vibe..they were great too..would recommend for a couple of drinks,snacks and people watching...not sure about the larger meals as didn't order,but lovely place

05/05/2026: Dear Funiculare Team, For over 35 years we have been your guests and have stayed at your hotel many times. It always felt like coming home when we visited. Unfortunately, this was probably the last time. We used to be the focus as guests, but now it seems to us that only maximizing profits is the priority. The music blares loudly from the speakers, the cozy atmosphere is gone, the staff are energetically trying to solicit new customers as they walk by instead of paying attention to the guests already there, and in our opinion, the food has become rather subpar. And to top it all off, our waiter turned away without a word after we left a 10% tip. The restaurant's location is beautiful, and it has such a long history. It would be wonderful if the management could restore the restaurant to its former glory.

05/04/2026: Large parking lot, beautiful restaurant. The food is excellent. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The portions are generous, and the dishes are delicious. I highly recommend it.

05/04/2026: Very nice waiters and the food was awesome. Further more they brought the food very fast and every meal at the same time. Also the tables outside are very nice, because you have a very nice view. The location inside is also very beautiful. You have to go there once!

07/04/2026: A charming hotel in an incredible location. The room was simple but adequate. The restaurant has a magnificent view, is very elegant, and the food was delicious. Little touches were left in the room each day (chocolates, special Easter shortbread cookies, etc.).

29/12/2025: We stayed at this hotel for four nights over Christmas and were pleasantly surprised by every little detail the owners thoughtfully incorporated, both in the rooms and in the breakfast rooms and restaurant. We were pampered by Elena in the morning with a delicious breakfast, featuring a wide selection of sweet and savory options. The room was spotless, with a fragrant aroma of home-made linens. Congratulations to Marcello and Maria for this little gem we stumbled upon almost by chance. Highly recommended.

03/04/2026: I was there many years ago with the Schiatti Nedo family, who sadly are no longer with us. I have wonderful memories. It was a wonderful place. I remember eating there, the fish was exquisite. I always have a photo with Chiatti's daughters. I can't thank the owner enough. It's a shame I live far away in Tuscany and am getting older. If I have the opportunity to be in the area, I must return. It has remained in my heart.

12/04/2026: The food was salty and horrible for both me and my partner, i believe it has 4 stars only because of the views in front of the lake but everything else is not worth it, specially because the prices are above average and there are plenty of other restaurants with quality food.

11/04/2026: The restaurant is right on the waterfront and the lower station of the scenic cable car. We asked for a table in the middle, where it was much quieter. The service was very polite and efficient. The seafood was excellent, as were the desserts.

08/02/2026: First time here. The menu is varied, not just vegan but also meat-friendly, so there's plenty to choose from. The owner/manager is incredibly kind and friendly, and knows how to put his customers at ease. The vegan carbonara is excellent (as a meat-eater says). My son chose the bresaola pizza, which had excellent toppings and was perfectly cooked without the burnt bottom. Highly recommended.
