01/01/2026: The service was amazing but on the other hand the pizzas were terrible, tasteless.

11/10/2025: The food is okay. There were three of us, and they don't bring our plates at the same time... You always have to wait for your food, dessert... We finished eating, and the waiters weren't there. We waited over half an hour, and when someone finally came, we couldn't get the dessert we wanted because the cook had already left. It's normal with that wait time. I don't recommend it. I couldn't get into the girls' restroom; some customers were laughing inside for over 20 minutes.

18/01/2026: A wonderful place! The food is absolutely delicious – you can feel the quality and authentic Italian cuisine in every bite. The service is exceptional, and a special shout-out to the lovely older gentleman who served us – full of class, a smile, and warmth, he made us feel truly special. Plus, the wonderful atmosphere perfectly complements the whole experience. Definitely a place you want to return to. Highly recommended! 🍝🍷

18/11/2025: I was truly impressed by Borgonuovo: the warm atmosphere, friendly service, and cuisine that transports you straight to Sicily. I tried several dishes, and they were all delicious. Rosario welcomed us with great hospitality; you could tell he really cares about making sure we had a great experience. Congratulations!

18/11/2025: What can I say... everything was perfect! From the first appetizer to the last sip of wine, you can taste the passion in every detail. The dishes are carefully prepared, tasty, and have that Sicilian touch that makes you want to return immediately. Rosario, the owner, is a wonderful person: always present, smiling, and always making sure everyone feels at home.

08/11/2025: Tasty and good in the end, but impolite service and unclear pricing. Be careful, it's expensive. €30 for this (see photo). They told us eat in is priced by portion, and take away is by weight, so we asked to take away 2 little bits of salmon, 2 bits of squid and 1 bit of seabass - but got charged €6 per 'portion' and not by weight at the till. Additionally, not all portions are equally sized and I don't know if they take advantage of tourists or not, but we were quite confused and pressured by the person at the till. Additionally, we noticed that if you eat in, it's the same thing, they just heat it in the microwave... At least it was good food, and in a fine restaurant here it would be more expensive for a starter portion like this.

18/10/2025: Top location. Clean and cozy. Top food. Very fresh fish dishes. Top service from the girls in the shop/dining room. Top bill, so to speak. Overall, good.

11/11/2025: I ordered two first courses to try with my wife, including a fettuccine with almost nonexistent and not very fresh scorpion fish, a lot of tomato sauce, almost raw cherry tomatoes on the plate, and an unpleasant caper aftertaste. Edible, but mediocre value. A fettuccine with mixed seafood was much better than the first course, with fresh shellfish and good flavor, despite the same problem with the abundance of raw tomatoes and tomatoes. For the second course, a fried mixed seafood dish was overpriced, full of lumps of flour, and not all of the fish was fresh. Bottom line: two first courses, a second course, a water, and three table service charges were all over the place. The meal was poor, costing just a few euros. Furthermore, the waiter (who ultimately charged me and took the money) wasn't particularly kind when we arrived, not to mention the fact that they charged a three-year-old girl a table service charge for just a taste of our food and using a napkin (for goodness sake, it was a legitimate payment, though...). Not recommended if you love cooking and enjoy good, healthy food.

11/01/2026: Very friendly staff, fantastic location, but the pizza is one of the worst I've ever eaten. In fact, to be honest, it's probably one of the first times in my life I couldn't get past the first bite. I haven't tried the other dishes, but if that's the case...

11/10/2025: This hotel is not as advertised. There is no air conditioning in the offseason. If known prior to booking I would have made reservations at a different accommodation. However this was not communicated in person or online. Our room was at 26 degrees Celsius (79 Fahrenheit) in October which is not acceptable with no circulating air. I placed my complaint with that staff and they assure this would be corrected. However it was not. We were told to open the window (that does not fully open) and to use the fan and that most guests prefer 23 degrees Celsius which is not what it is set at. I will be requesting a full refund due to the fact that there is no air conditioning available during the off season despite advertised amenities. For an accommodation located at the “pearl of the lake” I expected more. Especially considering the price. Save you efforts and book elsewhere.
