09/10/2025: I'm delighted to write this review because it's hard to find a place that manages to satisfy all these aspects: the pleasant antique furnishings with different tables, as well as the tablecloths and dishes; a place that seems truly designed to let you escape, at least for a few hours, the frenzy that we all fall prey to; the owner who welcomes you with a smile, immediately creating a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere; the undoubtedly high-quality cuisine, with service that combines family simplicity with attentiveness to the guest. It was my birthday, and it was special thanks to everyone! Thank you so much, see you soon!

12/09/2025: This restaurant has a cute cat. It can feel a bit unfriendly when it's busy, but the food is definitely delicious. I visited late in the evening, and once the crowds had eased, they were much more attentive. I ordered Rivioli fritti and Tagliolini ai frutti di mare. The seafood pasta took over 50 minutes to arrive, but it was delicious.

11/09/2025: We discovered it by chance back then and have enjoyed coming to La Locanda di Lo for years 😊 Always delicious, fresh food, a changing daily special, and very attentive service. You feel completely at home.

21/09/2025: The atmosphere is pleasant and well-kept, aesthetically warm and inviting, with dining options both inside and out. I had a delicious seafood risotto, which was a bit reminiscent of a seafood paella in terms of preparation and appearance. And a refreshing mixed salad: plentiful and fresh. The staff was kind and helpful. An absolutely positive experience!

15/09/2025: My partner and I had dinner last night at this restaurant, which we discovered by chance. The friendly, courteous staff made us feel at home. Quality food at a fair price. We'll be back...Recommended.

13/10/2025: Excellent veggie pizza. Crispy crust, well-seasoned with excellent ingredients. Unfortunately, it was crowded when we went, and the service was a bit slow. Still, you have to try it; it's worth it!

20/09/2025: Nice outdoor seating, but the food is of questionable quality...the waitress isn't at all friendly... Smoking isn't allowed outside either...except in a small corner...this ban could be seen as a plus or a minus...but you're outdoors with tables well spaced apart... The price was high for what you ate... I wouldn't recommend it.

08/09/2025: The place is average, but their courtesy, speed, and quality are worth it. When I go to Savona with my family, I like to go out and about, but when we want safety and value, we end up going there at least once or twice on vacation.

24/09/2025: I ordered a half-meter pizza with sausage and fries for €24 instead of the €18 price of a Margherita. On the receipt, I paid €24 for the pizza with fries, plus two portions of fries for €7. Total for the pizza with fries was €31. There are definitely not two portions of fries on a half-meter of pizza, but only one, and in any case, the pizza with fries already has a €6 surcharge, which should justify both the sausage and the fries. And to top it off, when we got home, we were very thirsty and drank a lot of water all night, a sign of poor leavening. It was a terrible experience; we felt cheated; we won't eat there again on principle. Let's see if anyone here will deign to explain how something like this is possible.

30/08/2025: I stayed at this very nice and well-located hotel. Parking is available in the hotel area upon reservation. Breakfast and dinner are always excellent. Rooms are quiet. Highly recommended! The hotel has a private beach, just a few minutes' walk away.

10/08/2025: Rooms are very old. Breakfast was nice and the staff there were friendly, but the reception staff were not very helpful. At check-out, I couldn’t get an invoice with my name, and there’s no secure place to store luggage before check-in — bags are just left in the hallway. Overall, I was not very satisfied with my stay, although the location is good. There are better hotels in the same area.

12/10/2025: A restaurant with two chefs, one for starters and one for main courses. The ambiance isn't particularly impressive, both from the outside and inside, and yet... wow, what dishes! Excellent cuisine, a varied menu, especially fish, but also meat, and even vegan (not my cup of tea...). I'd say the main courses are better than the main courses, at least in my experience for four meals for two. The prices are good. In short, you try it once, but you'll definitely return. I don't know of any other restaurants in Varazze, but I think it's one of the best, even compared to neighboring towns or those near the coast (Celle Ligure, Arenzano, etc.). I'll definitely return at the first opportunity. My only concern is that the main course chef is apparently leaving to change careers.
