26/09/2025: We went to the Portichetto for lunch on a Sunday. Without a reservation, they seated us right away (we were with our dog). The staff were very kind and quick to bring our orders. Highly recommended.

15/10/2025: Greed at the expense of service quality The restaurant is very famous, pseudo-elegant, and expensive, but people likely continue to frequent it for some reason related to the quality of the food. Unfortunately, the owner's desire to never lose a single customer and to always keep tables full with at least two seats per evening completely negates any positive aspects of the culinary quality, replacing them with total disorganization and a lack of respect for the customers. We had a reservation for four people at 9:30 PM and arrived promptly. When we arrived, the waiter asked us to be patient for about five minutes because they were "slightly struggling." We waited 15 minutes and noticed at least a dozen groups in the alley outside who, like us, had reservations but were still waiting for their tables. When we asked the waiter again how much longer we would have to stand, he replied, visibly out of breath, that it would be about another 15 minutes. This meant we'd start eating at 10:00 PM. We would have preferred to leave, but we decided to wait. Very calmly, every now and then someone from the small groups waiting managed to sit down. After the customary 15 minutes, it was 10:00 PM: none of us were still seated. Inside the restaurant, a few people were eating while 70% of the customers were waiting to be served. We waited another 20 minutes—arriving at 10:20 PM—without anyone leaving their tables. Many customers continued to wait for their dishes. At that point, we decided to leave at 10:30 PM, after an hour of pointless waiting. If a restaurant that claims to be elegant and high-end doesn't have the courage to inform customers that they must vacate their tables by a set time—which is in any case unbecoming of the style of a place of this kind—then it shouldn't accept any more reservations. To the owner, I say: since you're not worried about the risk of empty tables due to selfishness and greed, simply not accepting any more reservations would do your reputation much more credit. I'll conclude by reminding you that I used to frequent this restaurant about thirty years ago, but I stopped going because there were already unpleasant service issues back then that kept me away from there ever since.

18/10/2025: I went for lunch during the week, and when I paid, I used my American Express card. The cardholder told me the transaction wasn't accepted, without providing me with a receipt. So I paid with a debit card from another bank. Unfortunately, American Express had been accepted, so I was charged twice! I've been trying to contact the restaurant for several days, but they never answer the phone... What a shame! You decide!

10/11/2025: Great service, the older lady was very nice and smelled lovely :-) We had mussels and pizzas, all very good! Only the grappa at €6 seemed expensive for Italy...

27/10/2025: We went to eat at Da Mimmo restaurant in Pietra Ligure and it was truly a fantastic experience! We're Belgian, and the waiters were very kind. They spoke to us in English and even gave us a menu in French, which was greatly appreciated. The pizzas and pastas were delicious, typically Italian 🍕🍝 The staff and owners were very friendly and cheerful, and the atmosphere was authentic and welcoming. A truly excellent restaurant, we recommend it without hesitation! 🇮🇹✨

19/11/2025: Unfortunately, I was forced to give 2 stars because, after a pleasant first impression, we rebooked for the next day. Unfortunately, the place was closed and no one warned us (we were with a small child).

17/10/2025: Welcoming setting, friendly and Neapolitan atmosphere by the decor, family house for more than 60 years, excellent cuisine, fish of the day... Wide variety of pizzas and possibility to have one to your taste; thin, soft and crunchy dough which invites you to have more. Friendly staff, speaking French. For more than 10 years we have been frequenting this establishment and have never been disappointed. Take a pizza away for the evening, they are as if fresh out of the oven. (French from Alsace)

06/11/2025: You can't serve coffee like that; it ruins the entire meal, which is decent quality at a fair price. I hope the owners do something. I personally found it undrinkable, I don't know if it's because of the quality or the fact that the machine isn't purged or cleaned. I've had far better coffees abroad. It's a shame because as a place, it's not bad.

24/10/2025: The food was good, the service was okay. However, the owner rudely addressed the guests at the next table because of their dogs in the middle of the restaurant. Unfortunately, it's not a good image; you don't feel welcome.

09/09/2025: On our summer holiday travels from the cote d’azur to Lake Como, we wanted to stop for a nice lunch close to the sea. Our meals exceeded that wish. The owner is quite funny and was so patient with my rusty Italian, even though he spoke perfect English. We had fritto misto, which was lightly fried and perfectly salted. We then had three pastas (spaghetti di mare, ink pasta with langoustine, and gamberi with zucchini)and an order of mussels. Every bite was just what we wanted. Our server was so polite and helpful, too. I only wish we were staying in the area so I could have had a rose wine with the meal. I hope our travels bring us back someday!

07/09/2025: A shameful and indecent situation. Following a storm on the beach (which brought a fair amount of logs and trash), the beach club decided to collect everything that had washed up on their section of the beach and empty it with a wheelbarrow onto the adjacent public beach. Once we tried to protest (not in a polite way, it must be said), we were severely verbally attacked by a certain Andrea, who works for the beach club, who continued to insult us throughout the day we spent on the beach, even from a distance. The public property agency will take it away! Inform yourself before you speak, be respectful of the people who work there, and keep quiet. These are the words used; I'll leave aside the (mutual) insults. Given that we don't know when the public property agency will actually remove this waste, it doesn't seem normal to me that it is being dumped directly onto the adjacent public beach. Furthermore, as you can see from the photos, it wasn't even taken to the top, but left directly near the shoreline. At the next storm, if the public property agency doesn't pick it up first, this waste will be scattered all over the beach again! I find this unfortunate and shameful. Just because we're on a public beach doesn't mean we're second-class citizens and can therefore dump all our rubbish—and, I repeat, right next to the shoreline. Despite the disagreement and argument, they continued to take their rubbish to the public beach when it could have been easily piled up anywhere else, or at least decently at the edge of the beach.

Le pizze sono ben fatte e gustose, in particolare la pizza vegetariana, davvero ottima, con verdure abbondanti, buone e ricercate, che la rendono un piatto curato e saporito. Unica pecca: servizio un po’ lento e le pizze non sono arrivate tutte insieme, il che ha un po’ penalizzato il momento della cena. 27/04/2025: Personale gentile e disponibile, posti al tavolo in diverse tipologie di ambiente, il nostro tavolo aveva vista sulla passeggiata, piacevole. Due secondi mare: frittelle di rossetti buone ma forse troppo uovo nell'impasto, rispetto alla quantità di rossetti? Impepata di cozze eccezionale, senza troppo brodaccio, giusta quantità di aglio e di pepe, cozze tutte belle, non troppo grandi, molto gustose. Due calici di Pigato, buona cantina. Buon rapporto qualità/prezzo.

09/11/2025: Delicious food and tons of gluten-free options. The panizza is superb, as are the walnut pansotti and mushroom tagliatelle. I highly recommend them. The prices are absolutely fair.

29/11/2025: This is the second time my family and I have visited this wonderful restaurant. Today my kids had pizza, while my husband and I had the fish menu. I can only confirm my first experience: a truly charming place, excellent food, and friendly, impeccable staff. Not to mention the owner, who is the real highlight. Highly recommended for the excellent food and very fair prices.
