All dishes had quite the kick to it, potatoes were overcooked and overall the dishes were not that impressive.
Apparently reservation is required.

05/08/2026: I often come to Finale Ligure, and Acqua Viva is my favorite restaurant. The food is good, and the staff is knowledgeable, extremely kind, and friendly.
The location is beautiful and well-kept, and the prices are in line with the local average.
31/07/2026: Excellent seafood, in my opinion the best between Pietra and Finale. The veranda overlooking the sea is lovely. It's a shame the service is a bit slow, but it was worth it.

11/08/2026: A summer dinner for four, everything was truly excellent: from the figs with prosciutto to the baby octopus alla diavola. Ligurian and Apulian dishes prepared with care, a beautiful atmosphere, and friendly service. With appetizers, first and second courses, wine, coffee, and a dessert to share, we paid about €33 each: excellent value. A special place we'll definitely be returning to!
11/08/2026: Good, historic place. I've been in Finalborgo for 20 years but never tried it. Today, I have the honor of saying that of all the restaurants, this is one of the best. Typically good, perfect service. Friendly, good, and super friendly people.
Come to Finalborgo to eat here, not those new, worthless places.

09/08/2026: Absolutely delighted by the whole experience. The place is elegant, yet relaxed. Service quick and very professional. We had the tasting menu, and thoroughly enjoyed every single dish. This is one of the few places where you can both appreciate the chef’s creativity but also feel pleasantly full at the end. Wine list is reasonable and well structured. Look forward to the next visit.
02/08/2026: The fish is really fresh, the staff is really kind and I have to say that we had a really good time. If I had to find fault I would say that the service is a little too fast, let's say they don't leave much space between one dish and the next.

05/06/2026: The food wasn't good. My husband had the calamari with vegetables and vomited four times during the night.
The lasagna I had wasn't good either, and the portion was far too small for €12.
The waiter was friendly, but distracted by a football game playing on his laptop at the counter.
31/05/2026: We arrived at 8:15 PM and had to wait an hour for our drinks. The service was unfriendly and inattentive.
We won't be coming back again.

12/06/2026: We have been coming here since 2016. Every time we are in the area, we come to eat. Everything here is fresh and tastes delicious. I have been a fan of the pizza frutti de mar for years. My husband discovered the risotto frutti de mar. The fresh or grilled fish is also always a nice touch. Even though prices have risen considerably in recent years, it is still cheaper than back home. The owner is very pleasant and friendly. We choose the street side, even though the garden is also a pleasant spot in good weather.
02/06/2026: We stopped by chance, and the welcome, even though we hadn't booked, was exemplary (something that's now obsolete). The Margherita pizza was truly delicious (in its simplicity), the crust very unique and crispy. The mixed grilled fish was unexpectedly rich and delicious, at a fair price.
Although it may seem like a "tourist trap," we truly enjoyed our stay in the warmth of a traditional and down-to-earth establishment.
Restaurant, quiet, just what you need at the right time.

26/07/2026: I happened to try this place, and the experience was quite unpleasant. The outside tables were covered in pigeon droppings, the plates were dirty, and the seafood spaghetti was watered down.
The only positive note was the very friendly service.
I do not recommend this place.

08/06/2026: It's a family-run trattoria where we had dinner last night. Everything was delicious. The grilled fish cooked over charcoal in a wood-fired oven was sublime, as were the rest of the dishes. The pesto mayonnaise was top-notch!
The service was a little slow, but worth the wait!
28/05/2026: The food is typically delicious Italian fare, presented without excessive decoration. The service was very friendly. The price-performance ratio is perfectly acceptable. The seating under the old arcades in the historic center is lovely.

Abbiamo prenotato in mattinata un tavolo per le 20. Alle 20 ci siamo presentati e ci sono stati indicati successivamente 2 tavoli prenotati ad altro nome. Alla fine il tavolo c'è lo siamo cercati da soli. Abbiamo aspettato seduti 30 minuti senza neanche ricevere il menù. A questo punto abbiamo lasciato il locale. Il titolare ci ha salutati senza neanche accorgersi che non avevamo consumato alcunché.

11/04/2025: Abbiamo mangiato solo una pizza , buona e ben farcita, buona lievitazione della pasta, nessun disturbo di digestione ( mia moglie e' molto sensibile), prezzo buono ,anzi mi sembra nettamente inferiore alla media di Finale Ligure. Per dare un'idea 5 pizze ( 2margerita 2 4stagioni, 1 salame piccante ) 1 L.vino e 2L acqua tot 64 euro.

2 antipasti 2 secondi vino pigato (hanno portato secchiello con ghiaccio), piatti molto belli alla vista e ottimo pesce. Prezzo giusto per il contesto (100 euro)

24/04/2025: Siamo stati in questo locale visitando Finalborgo, pranzato all'aperto in piazza e trovato ottima la soluzione di poter scegliere tipo di pasta e sughi. Servizio veloce e personale cortese. Qualità buona, consigliato se ci passate.
16/04/2025: Tourist Trap. Personale scortese, abbiamo trovato un sasso nel piatto e quando lo abbiamo reclamato, il proprietario ci ha risposto che è normale trovare sassi nel piatto perché il pesce che propongono è fresco. Ancora non capiamo il nesso tra le due cose. Il piatto era stato mandato indietro e alla mia amica non è stato proposto di rifare la portata. Alla cassa ci hanno fatto comunque pagare anche il piatto con il sasso nonostante fosse per almeno la metà pieno. Inoltre il proprietario ci ha accusate di aver sottolineato il problema perché non volevamo pagare, mettendo in dubbio la nostra onestà.
A livello di qualità del cibo mi dispiace ma nessuno dei piatti 3 piatti a base di pesce aveva un ottimo sapore ( nonostante le allusioni alla freschezza), inoltre le vongole erano piene di sabbia. Il pesto ordinato dalla 4a persona era leggermente acido. Rispecchia perfettamente gli stereotipi sulla ristorazione italiana con core business i turisti.
