30/03/2026: A restaurant in Finalborgo. The space isn't particularly large, but it's quaint. Very good food. Dishes change regularly, with a focus on traditional seafood and meat dishes. In addition to the classic daily menu, there's also a vegetarian/vegan option. Excellent and attentive service. The wait times between courses are a bit long, but that's normal if everything is freshly prepared. The staff is friendly and helpful. Excellent homemade digestifs are offered. Prices are moderate, especially considering the location. Reservations are always recommended. The restaurant is worth a visit.

11/04/2026: Nice place on the seafront, very crowded and no reservations possible. The food was very good, both the smell and the servings. Recommended.

10/04/2026: Prompt service, even though there was a wait for a table between 6:30 and 8:00 PM. Excellent pizza, suitable and reasonably priced children's menu, great house wine, good daily fish special, and highly recommended tiramisu. Overall, very good and good value.

12/04/2026: How did it end up? Bad, I'd say. How can I rate it? Definitely a terrible experience! But how could they "sit" us at a table for two (reserved the day before) in a tiny room where they'd already set up two tables of about ten people each (one of which contained a couple of children who had been screaming all night)? In the other room, much larger and empty when we arrived, only a couple of tables were occupied by customers who arrived later, without reservations, much, much luckier than us. Whether or not what we ate was good doesn't matter, we just wanted to finish and leave as quickly as possible—no dessert, coffee, amaro, or grappa, just escape the damned mess they'd thrown us into. I repeat: the place was three quarters empty, and we (reserved the day before) were "punished" at a tiny table in a small, secluded room with 20 other people who had something to celebrate. If that's what customer service is all about… Dear managers, going to a restaurant isn't just about filling your stomach, it's about creating a welcoming atmosphere, something that was completely missing. Obviously, you'll never see me again.

08/04/2026: A basic but very friendly pizzeria, with fast and attentive service. The mixed fried fish is plentiful and not greasy; one portion is enough for two. A must-try if you're in the area. Reservations are essential, as it's always packed.

10/04/2026: STOP IN VARAZZE Another business trip. During the trip, we stop in Varazze for lunch. We wander through the alleys of the historic center and decide to stop at the Gianni e Franca restaurant. We sit at one of the outdoor tables set directly in the alleyway. We order a bottle of water and choose a half-liter carafe of the house white wine. Acceptable. The service, let's say, is rather basic. We order the same first course, Scialatielli (Neapolitan artisanal pasta) with seafood, zucchini, and cherry tomatoes. A kind of tagliatelle, but shorter and wider. Cooked nicely al dente. The sauce is generous, with mussels, clams, and shrimp. Delicious. There's still room for a second course to share. We choose the second course that best suits our desire to nibble with our hands and share. A mixed seafood fritto (fried fish) featuring mostly calamari, then shrimp (a few), and a few small fish. A decent dish. We add a single side of French fries. Two coffees before continuing our journey. The bill came to €58. The location and service were questionable, but the food offered a more than decent quality/price ratio. Not bad, but I'm not sure I'd return.

12/10/2025: It is full of locals which is a good sign. Service is nice : friendly and welcoming. I really loved smoked sword fish, but unfortunately didn’t like at all la tagliata (most probably my mistake and I have had to order fish), the meat was tough 🥩

15/02/2026: February 14th Valentine's Day, a place discovered by chance on the internet, a wonderful surprise. It was a shame about the weather, rain and wind, and the sea that seemed to enter the restaurant (stunning, it was what I expected from a seaside location). We dined with the menu recommended by a very kind waiter, the dishes were definitely very good. One small point: the food is divine, but the drinks are not up to your level! We will definitely be back because it was a beautiful evening!

Excellent selection, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and a friendly chef who goes around the tables asking if everything is okay and explaining his dishes with great enthusiasm. You can tell he cares and is very friendly. Everything was good. Well done, we'll be back.

19/03/2026: We had a wonderful lunch at this inn overlooking the sea, yet away from the pedestrian crossing. The sautéed calamari and artichokes, and the octopus with potatoes and fried artichokes, were both excellent. Very friendly service. Prices were average. We'll definitely be back.

14/04/2026: We were passing by and noticed this small trattoria with a beautiful wooden outdoor terrace. We were there for lunch to have a quick meal and continue our journey. We were immediately welcomed by a very kind waitress who made us sit down. We decided to have a platter of cured meats to start, but honestly, for €15 I found it a little sad that there was pre-packaged Bologna... in my opinion, I found the price a little high... then we decided to have two first courses, one spaghetti with clams €18 and one borage ravioli with ragù €15. The ravioli were quite good... we didn't really get the spaghetti because when they arrived they were loose and soaked in oil and parsley... we spent €55 for two and honestly we didn't eat very well...

18/04/2026: Courtesy, friendliness, and helpfulness—this is the minimum standard of hospitality every establishment should have, and they easily exceed it. Their dishes are exquisite, flavorful, and above all, plentiful. Having tried both a seafood first course and a pizza, we were completely satisfied. Prices are average, and I will definitely return as soon as I'm in the area. Highly recommended!!!
