12/10/2025: Great food and friendly service. I visit Sestri several times a year, but this time I spent my vacation there with my wife. I'd never eaten here before, although I'd passed by many times, and this restaurant pleasantly surprised me. We stumbled upon it by chance. It was the first restaurant near the train station open so early, and we had to wait until 2:00 PM for the keys to our apartment. I hope to visit them again. I drive past it on my way to Fivizano or Lucca at work.

05/10/2025: Personally, the restaurant is truly excellent, both for its meat and seafood menus. The pizza is tasty and well-made, and the atmosphere is quiet and quaint. The staff is helpful and very friendly, making the service excellent. I often come here to eat with friends, and it never disappoints.

30/12/2025: My family and I stopped in for lunch on a Saturday during an internship break. The staff were incredibly friendly and fast, the food was excellent, and the desserts were amazing.

19/01/2026: We used to go to this place when we were young and we used to come back from the seaside on our motorbikes. Now, during a football match, we had a very good lunch. The first courses were excellent and the ciabatta was delicious.

05/02/2026: This summer I spent my vacation at "Domus Vittoria," a 19th-century vacation home in Sannicola (not far from the famous Gallipoli), and the owner raved about this grill restaurant. Since I was in Genoa, I took his advice and treated friends to dinner: excellent food and generous portions. Meat prepared in every way imaginable. A true delight! The staff is very professional.

21/01/2026: I tried it twice with family during a vacation in Genoa over the past holidays. We chose the restaurant, which is very centrally located, for its gluten-free options. The place is the takeout version of a nearby pizzeria. It's essentially a pizzeria that also specializes in meats, with limited first course options. The place is pleasant, but there are too many internal steps, some of which, especially one near the cash register, are dangerous. The mezzanine is nice, one of the few places I didn't suffer from the heat. The service is friendly, but on one occasion, it was decidedly too slow. The pizzas, both gluten-free and gluten-free, were excellent: large, well-cooked, and very generous. They filled us up and completely satisfied. The gluten-free dough, in particular, was excellent. The gluten-free options are too limited: at least they should add spicy salami options—wustel isn't the same—and anchovies. The only real downside is the price, which is decidedly excessive. I've never spent €16 on a tuna and onion pizza, and a €3 gluten-free supplement is definitely too much: only once in Trentino, among the many pizzerias I've tried, had I done this. Even the meats, which I didn't try but looked excellent, were far from cheap. The bruschetta was also very good. My overall opinion is positive; it's a good place, although it's worth noting that it's not cheap. I liked it, and will definitely return when I return to Genoa.

28/12/2025: I've tried this place twice within a few days, and I have to say the location is excellent: it's centrally located, close to the sea and the Rapallo promenade. The atmosphere is informal, and the service was quick and friendly. Unfortunately, the food wasn't up to par: the paella was sandy and flavorless, and the white wine and sangria were bland (almost "sachet-like"). I can't comment on the pizzas (I haven't tried them), and the train noise is a bit annoying, but that's a minor detail. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it due to the poor quality of the food.

02/10/2025: We've visited over twenty Michelin-starred restaurants around the world; Le Cantine deserves a star. Every detail is taken care of, the authenticity of the local products is respected, but the flavor combinations are refined, interesting, and perfectly executed. The service is excellent, and the atmosphere is welcoming yet elegant.

01/01/2026: Extremely expensive (100€/person with no drinks and only 1 primo piato each plus 1 main to share.) the food was mediocre, the soft shell crabs were dripping in not so great frying oil (70€ for 5 very small crabs). The oysters were good but 7€ each, the pasta was below average, and very small portion (35-40€ each) and the fish was overcooked and tiny portion as well (42€). The place has a low ceiling, very noisy. The waiting staff is very good old style service. I’m definitely crying over the 375€ spent for a family of 4 (with one beer and no desert.) For this price range I expected much more both in terms of food and environment.

28/12/2025: Trattoria with "homemade" cuisine. Tourist alert. The food was low quality for the price. Don't be fooled by the display; the fish wasn't as fresh as they would have you believe. All served with typical warm Genoese hospitality. Update: We were sick during the night.

07/11/2025: At lunchtime it offers an economical menu with a first course, second course and side dish with the option of choosing dishes from the menu, while in the evening it offers more sophisticated fish and meat dishes, excellent food and professional staff, the owner Willy is an exquisite person.

31/01/2026: They serve whatever they manage to catch from the sea that day, so the freshness of the dishes is impeccable, as is the preparation. The salad with vulture, spaghetti with bottarga, and small, crispy fish (triglie) were all delicious.

12/05/2025: Locale accogliente dotato sia di sala interna che di giardino. Personale cortese ed attento, pronto a spiegare la struttura del piatto. Pane e pasta sono fatti in casa. Servizio veloce e preciso Davvero eccellenti i ravioli ripieni di pesce con pomodorini e scampetti. La spinta del limone si sente e rende il piatto fresco e bilanciato. Buon rapporto qualità prezzo

15/01/2026: We had dinner with colleagues and, as usual, chose a restaurant in the city. This time we went to Cadraio, but the experience wasn't positive. Besides the high price for the dinner, the flavors didn't live up to the hype, and it felt like we were eating at one of those €10 trattorias for a weekday lunch or break. We expected much, much more. Not to mention the house wine... Corrado.

11/01/2026: Nothing special. An unremarkable place from the outside. Nice inside. Friendly owners. The food is decent, but nothing exceptional. The bill is a bit steep.

05/01/2026: We'd like to share our pleasant experience at lunch here today. We found the atmosphere comfortable and the staff very friendly, who made us feel at ease and explained the local dishes, which we found excellent, from the trio of anchovies appetizer (delicious) to the seafood spaghetti and the wonderful pandolce. We'll definitely be back!
