26/07/2024: Nice place, good food, cleanliness ok. We went with the band "i rude", six members and we had a blast. We brought 60 friends, and at the end of the evening they begged us for €150 to eat. To which I told Chen (the boss) and the one from Mostrina (I quit in person) DO THE ALMS IN THE CHURCH. ENJOY THEM IN MEDICINE MMERDEEEEE

28/08/2024: Passing through returning to Spain, we relied on Google Maps and we were not disappointed, on the contrary! Excellent food, impeccable service, kindness and courtesy. The best fry I've had in a long time - these people know what they're doing and they do it with passion and at more than fair prices. Trust and you will be rewarded. PS: I will never understand how anyone can give 1 Star, why they found it closed or why they didn't give him a table. A simple call to book as it used to be done can no longer be done?? How sad and how useless malice.
23/08/2024: Returning from Genoa, I went out to Masone, and chose this restaurant, PERFECT, Lunch 2 first courses, 2 second courses, 2 drinks..... total €36, price, quality, cleanliness, and exceptional courtesy.

17/08/2024: Totally recommend this place! The restaurant owner and her nephew (server) were very friendly and food was excellent! I had the salmon pasta looking one (I forgot the exact name) and a steak. They have outdoor dining which is very nice and also indoor dining and the price is very affordable.
16/08/2024: Don't make the same mistake as me and judge the place by its cover. Nice simple pasta, fair price, good coffee.

08/08/2024: To begin, I was absolutely bewildered at some of the negative and some outright ridiculous reviews (in my opinion) regarding this business, therefore as a level 8 contributor with over 13 million views to date as well as being a frequent traveller to Italy, Liguria in particular, I hope you will read this as being truly honest and genuine. My wife and I had to stay overnight in Genova enroute back to the UK and as we were in the Brignole area around 7pm I took to Google to find a nice eatery rather than being somewhat restricted around the airport. Rustichello Restaurant looked ideal, only a few minutes walk from the train station, our kind of local cuisine and it opened for dinner at 7pm, perfect. We arrived a couple of minutes before opening however the female staff member setting up the outside tables was extremely friendly and accommodating directing us (and our luggage) indoors and to a table and were we lucky as by 7.30/8.00pm they were full. The staff were professional, courteous and friendly and although busy within a short period of time, were always attentive and quick. Onto the food, well what can I say, other than outstanding. To begin you are given some lovely warm, fresh bread and focaccia which was regularly replenished. Our starters were their popular trofiette al pesto and a pasta with salted anchovies, butter and crushed walnuts. Both dishes were definitely fresh and homemade, perfectly cooked and very flavoursome. The pesto was thick and creamy accompanying the trofettie perfectly and definitely traditional. The anchovy and walnut pasta was also very good with good depth of flavours and topped with a small fried squid which was a nice touch. The dish was and only in my opinion slightly dry with maybe benefitting with more butter or some oil but overall full of flavour and perfectly cooked. For our mains, we had beef tagliata and the crispy octopus. Again both dishes very tasty and full of flavour, the beef cooked perfectly accompanied by a few roasted potatoes and a rocket salad. The octopus was perfectly cooked then what seemed deep fried for a very short time in order to crisp the exterior, served on a bed of puréed, buttery potato and a lovely red onion and olive side. For dessert we opted to share the homemade tirrimisu as we always do no matter where we go, probably just to compare regional recipes, not that we need a reason and their’s was not to disappoint. The highlight however was what we ended with. We shared a lemon sorbet with fresh basil and pink peppercorn. Wow, this was a palette cleanser on another level. The basil flavour was bold yet did not kill the lemon flavour just strange seeing a green lemon sorbet, it was a sure winner to finish off the meal, well apart from the obligatory limoncello that is, chilled and not cheap and syrupy like many. We had 2 or 3 bottles of sparkling water and a bottle of Cinque Terre Ligurian white wine. Overall we were just over €100 which for 3 courses of that calibre with wine, I feel was a great price and for that quality of food elsewhere down the coast i.e Santa Margherita Ligure, we would have been €150 or more. Finally as we paid, the very friendly owner struck up a conversation about golf and whiskey with us being from Scotland even offering us a free dram from his collection. Overall, the staff, service, food and price was very good and to then get the customer service we did at the end, money really can’t buy! We will be sure to visit again the next time we are in Genova. Grazie Mille

21/08/2024: Ero stato parecchie volte in passato a bere, in coppia e con amici, il cocktail dopo cena seduto ai tavoli lungo questa meravigliosa e suggestiva passeggiata. Ieri sera passeggiando con mia moglie ho visto un paio di tavoli liberi e ho chiesto al cameriere se potevamo sederci per bere qualcosa; il cameriere garbato e gentile ci ha fatto accomodare informandoci che non c’era una vera e propria lista delle bevande. Avendo già le idee chiare abbiamo ordinato un Negroni e un Rossini. Dopo aver sorseggiato un buon Negroni e un discreto Rossini sono andato a pagare e ho avuto la sgradevole sorpresa: 45 euro. Non male
15/08/2024: My husband and I stayed at this B&B last weekend. Small but welcoming, enviable position between the bay of fairy tales and the bay of silence. Impeccable welcome service, Francesco, a really nice and kind person, picked us up and took us back to the station. A service that isn't really for everyone. The room was very clean, with a splendid view of the fairytale bay. The breakfast was very varied and very rich, much appreciated. Special thanks to Francesco and Marzia who, with their kind welcome, made us feel truly pampered and at home.

18/08/2024: I give three stars because there is always room for improvement. Strategic location and slightly retro location. That's not to say you always need a contemporary atmosphere, it reminded me a lot of the 80s and 90s. Service: definitely the lady, she keeps everything going! Perhaps more staff would be needed, the waiting times are very long. Food: overall not bad, the octopus, too hard. We recommend the linguine with anchovies. The black trofie are also good, perhaps the flavor is too salty.
14/08/2024: The pizzeria enjoys an extremely strategic position in San Michele di Pagana, monopolizing the offer in the area. However, the experience leaves a lot to be desired. The pizza was rolled out excessively thin, resulting in it being burnt and too hard to bite. The ingredients are scarce, especially considering the price, which exceeds €10 for any pizza other than the margherita. The staff, especially the owner, were unfriendly and rude. We ordered take-away pizzas and asked for plastic cutlery, but we were denied with the excuse that the pizza was already cut. In reality, the pizzas were only cut partially and into four pieces. But this was only the beginning of the problems. Once we reached the beach, we discovered that the pizzas delivered were wrong. When we returned to the pizzeria, we expected them to redo all the pizzas, but they limited themselves to redoing only the incorrect ones, forcing part of the group to eat the cold pizza. A truly disappointing experience, which I have no intention of repeating. If you are in San Michele di Pagana and want a pizza, take it only for the unique atmosphere of the bay, which partly compensates for the mediocrity of the food. But if you are looking for a good pizza, I recommend heading towards Rapallo or Santa Margherita, where you will find much better options.

18/08/2024: Every time we pass through those parts, the trattoria da Carlito has become a fixed stop. In fact, I went yesterday to celebrate my wife's birthday, we enjoyed good quality food cooked with experience and professionalism, including impeccable service.
17/08/2024: First and second starter, we exaggerated but it was worth it, the marinated anchovies with burrata and olives are Michelin star!!! We will be back!!!

21/08/2024: Good, simple restaurant at unbeatable prices. We had salmon pasta, octopus in sauce, grilled vegetables, sagliata pasta (al mare). If you are a fan of salmon pasta, go for it, it was excellent. The grilled vegetables were good, nothing more. The seafood pasta was also good. The octopus in sauce was very good. Warm and welcoming waiters.

20/08/2024: Siamo stati a cena qui, in due. Tavolo davanti la porta oscillante della cucina. Il cameriere (che credo sia il caposala) prende i nostri ordini, una Vellutata tiepida di zucchine, calamaretti saltati e crumble di pane all’aglio e un Filetto di orata in salsa alla ligure con patate al forno, chiedo un calice di vino bianco da abbinare alla vellutata, mi viene risposto di "dover dire quale" dei calici presenti sul menu. Provo a spiegare di non conoscere i vini elencati, cercando un consiglio professionale di abbinamento, ma il cameriere mi interrompe, sbattendo il menu del vino sul tavolo, aprendolo e leggendo ad alta voce i bianchi alla mescita, uno ad uno, obbligandomi quasi a scegliere da solo. Per il resto della cena ho scelto di non rivolgermi al suddetto cameriere, per paura che qualsiasi contestazione sulle portate mi venisse rinfacciata come la scelta del vino. Vado in bagno e al mio ritorno i piatti sono già arrivati, dopo soli 5 minuti di attesa. (Inizialmente volevo una frittura di pesce, ma vedendo l'asterisco che indicava il prodotto surgelato, ho optato per la vellutata con calamaretti, sperando in un prodotto fresco.) Dopo aver visto apparire i piatti dopo soli 5 minuti credo che anche queste due portate non fossero espresse oppure doveva esserci Mago Merlino alle padelle. La vellutata era interminabile, credo abbiano frullato 12 zucchine per produrre un piatto così corposo, (mio malgrado ne ho lasciato gran parte nel piatto), i calamaretti erano 3, contati e minuscoli, la crumble di pane e aglio si sentiva a malapena. 14 euro per una crema di zucchine pronta all'uso. L'orata era okay, ma le patate al forno erano crude e umidicce. Arrivati alla fine, tutti i camerieri ignorano la nostra richiesta di aspettare qualche minuto per digerire e scegliere un attimo il dolce. Alla quarta richiesta, non sapendo bene ancora cosa prendere, chiedo ad una delle due ragazze che amari avesse il posto. Mi viene risposto "Tutti", seguito da una lista di due amari per poi concludere con "Non ricordo gli altri". Può capitare che un cameriere non sappia qualche piatto o qualche bevanda, ma almeno una lista su carta da poter farmi leggere non sarebbe sgradita. Dopo questa breve lista, chiedo se avessero l'amaro "Jefferson", la cameriera risponde di non saperlo e di andare a controllare, dopo una decina di minuti (tempo più lungo dell'attesa dei piatti principali) mi arriva un amaro che non è quello che ho ordinato, all'odore non sembrava Jefferson ma Jagermaister, provo ad assaggiarlo versandone un po' in un altro bicchiere e il sapore inconfondibilmente forte dello Jager conferma il mio dubbio. La cameriera che mi aveva portato l'intruglio misterioso evita di incrociare lo sguardo con il nostro tavolo, allora chiedo alla collega se ci fosse stato un disguido con l'ordine e va a controllare. Ritornando alla posizione del tavolo, trovandoci davanti la porta della cucina, in questo frangente vedo le due cameriere battibeccare per alcuni secondi sull'ordine del mio tavolo, dietro l'oblò della porta basculante come in un film comico anni '90. La cameriera a cui ho posto il quesito, si ricompone, torna al tavolo e spiega che l'amaro che ho bevuto è in effetti Jefferson. Decido di non rispondere, trangugio il mio Jagermaister, che reputo un buon amaro, ma che non avevo chiesto quella sera e andiamo a pagare. Il cameriere di prima stampa il conto, offrendoci l'amaro, come ad ammettere l'errore ma senza confermare l'effettivo scambio di amari. Questo ristorante si è rivelato quello che volevo evitare nella mia vacanza a Genova, una trappola per turisti, nonostante l'ubicazione vicino la stazione, dalle foto e dal menu online sembrava un ristorante normale, invece la solita trattoria di mare con pesci appesi alle pareti, tovaglie a scacchi e piatti che di tradizione hanno solo il nome. Servizio fastidioso e invadente, qualità del cibo non pervenuta.

28/08/2024: Excellent menu. All good....the location is not characteristic but I had a very good time. Toilets in excellent condition. There is parking in the area, not a lot but it's available. I recommend dinner. After all this I give a well-deserved five stars.

19/08/2024: Few words to describe the quality of the fried foods. Mixed fried food, breaded anchovies and delicious calamari. We returned a few evenings later to eat them on the beach. Average prices, reflect the quality of the fish.
12/08/2024: Sono andato a prendere della frittura da asporto la seconda settimana di agosto assieme ad alcuni familiari. Pesce fritto a regola d'arte, vario e fresco. Consigliatissimo!
