20/07/2026: We were welcomed here and received hospitably by the staff just under half an hour before closing time. The food was excellent and the staff helpful. Although this restaurant has a more formal atmosphere, we were received very hospitably here with our daughter.

25/07/2026: A welcoming place, not very large but functional. The food is good, there's a decent selection, and the staff is attentive. The only downside is the alleys surrounding the place, frequented by very unsavory people. At 1 PM, in broad daylight, they're busy consuming substances or engaging in immoral activities (Maps explicitly prevents this from being written).

19/07/2026: If you want to eat well-prepared fish, you must come to this restaurant. Everything is divinely good, the service is kind and never too formal, and the atmosphere is elegant but not pretentious.

14/08/2026: A delightful place, but above all, friendly service and excellent cuisine, with delicious and plentiful dishes. Last but not least, they offer gluten-free options for celiacs; they offered me a gluten-free focaccia to accompany my meal. They also offer a choice of savoury first courses and fried fish made with rice flour in oil on the side. I recommend booking.

12/08/2026: I had a wonderful time: warmly welcomed and served with kindness. The portions were generous and the dishes were carefully prepared. The seafood spaghetti was rich and the fried fish was crispy and dry. While Riva Trigoso is a very recent discovery for us, the two restaurants we've tried so far have definitely won us over. So, see you next time.

13/08/2026: Dinner on the terrace, great service. The pasta dishes are truly excellent. The focaccia tiramisu is simply incredible in both flavor and lightness! There are only a few tables, so reservations are essential. Probably one of the best restaurants in town.

22/08/2026: Absolute disappointment – terrible policy and rude service This place already felt sketchy the moment we walked in, but we decided to give it a chance, sit down for a glass of wine, and enjoy a nice dessert. To our absolute shock, we were kicked out because "this is a RESTAURANT" and dessert apparently doesn't count as food. The staff insisted we were strictly required to order a main course along with our dessert. To top it off, the staff tried to argue that this is "how it works all over the world." I strongly suggest the management actually look into how restaurants operate globally—I have traveled for years and have never seen a venue turn away paying customers and refuse easy revenue over such a absurd rule. Instead of making an easy sale, they earned a well-deserved 1-star review and a anti-recommendation. Avoid this place.

20/08/2026: I took a photo of the plate to count the calories. An app I use found this place. The meat in sauce had good protein and fit my count. The place is simple and no-frills.

13/08/2026: Incredible vegan food ! We tried the Contrasti d'estate which was surprisingly a perfect combination of flavors. You can’t go wrong with Lo Gnocco and the Mandilli de Sea (pesto genovese). The pane e vino was also delicious to finish our meal. I can’t wait to go back again 😊

12/08/2026: My partner and I, both vegans, went here for lunch, and unfortunately we didn't get to take any photos because we finished everything in record time. Everything was delicious and beautifully served! I absolutely recommend it—the place is really cute, the staff is incredibly friendly, and it's located in the alleyways, so even the walk there is really pleasant! They gave us excellent recommendations based on our tastes in both food and wine, and we were truly satisfied! We'll definitely be back!

06/06/2026: The recommended white wine was good. The focaccia was moist and good. The Seabream fresh pasta was light and decent. The owner and staff were friendly, which made me feel good.

04/06/2026: We traveled from Milan specifically to try this historic and renowned restaurant, drawn in by the many Instagram reels showing inviting dishes. Unfortunately, the experience didn't entirely meet our expectations, especially regarding the quantity/price ratio. What didn't work was the Recco focaccia. From the videos, it looked like a generous and rich portion; in reality, for €10, we were served three decidedly thin and "poor" pieces, one even burned! For the first courses, we ordered pasta with country-style pesto. The flavor was good and savory, but the presentation and richness of the ingredients left much to be desired; there was only one green bean and the potatoes were almost invisible. It's unfortunate to say that service to "non-regulars" is so lacking for such a famous establishment, but we had the distinct feeling that there's a disparity in treatment (both in portions and attention) between regulars/acquaintances and those, like us, who are out of town and are seen as "passing tourists." What worked The five fried anchovies were very good, fresh, and a fair portion for the price. Overall, the food is tasty, but for the prices charged, the presentation and the generous portions leave something to be desired. It's a shame, but given the trip and the small portions, we're unlikely to return.

19/08/2026: A delightful discovery in Sestri Levante, a very refined atmosphere, great customer service, and delicious food. And a wine list worthy of the name, which also reflects the research behind it. We chose the vegetarian menu and it was truly a treat—no tofu or seitan, just garden-fresh dishes cooked with such skill and creativity. We'll be back.

30/07/2026: Fantastic dinner with great service (especially Clea, hope we spelled it right). Great selection of wine by bottle and also by glass. Food was 10/10 and we are very picky and critique foodies. Would definitely reccomend!

14/08/2026: The owner was super welcoming ❤️, and the food was delicious. They're a true Chinese restaurant, no rip-offs! I recommend the lobster noodles, and the stir-fried potatoes with meat are perfect for kids!

15/08/2026: A small restaurant in the Polcevera Valley, in the Piazza a Pontedecimo. We'd always heard about it, but the experience exceeded our expectations. The lady who welcomes us is... wonderful. Kind, knowledgeable, and her eyes light up when she describes the quality of the dishes she'll be serving. Her husband is in the kitchen, serving up one delicacy after another. Eight tables. Soft music. Magical. The price is a bit high, but more than justified.
