25/03/2025: We are from the Hautes-Savoies and discovered this restaurant in March 2024 to celebrate our son's birthday. We came back this year and were just as delighted as last time. Everything is original and delicious. Bravo!!
15/02/2025: We celebrated Valentine's Day in this restaurant recommended by the Michelin guide. Unlike most restaurants, no menu imposed at an exorbitant price. The usual evening menu. And in addition a rose offered for Madame on the table when we arrived. As for the meal, what a discovery! We opted for the tasting menu: an incredible mix of flavors, a journey for the senses. From dish to dish, we were won over! In the dining room, the service is impeccable and very attentive. In the background, perfect classical music! Thank you to the whole team for this evening.

16/03/2025: I've known this place since 2019, when I had the centenary dinner with my classmates. It has always remained my favorite restaurant. Both the pizza and the dishes are super good, let's not talk about the desserts!!! It is suitable for all kinds of parties and all kinds of occasions. The guys who serve the tables are all very good, prepared and above all NICE. Unfortunately I don't have photos because we mauled the pizzas!!! You are a guarantee!!!!

31/12/2024: When we come to Chiavari with our family (a few times a year) we always choose the Monte Rosa hotel! The hotel has modern, spacious, very clean and comfortable rooms, but the service is “of the past” where the customer feels pampered and even spoiled! The staff never changes and I don’t know who to thank more, they are exceptional, helpful, professional, thoughtful and very kind people! Every time there was an unexpected event (with small children it happens!) they always helped us and solved every problem for us. The breakfast is excellent with a wide choice and everything is cooked on the spot. We had dinner several times and everything was always excellent! In the summer we always used the swimming pool which is a real pearl considering that it is located right in the center!
21/12/2024: I stayed 3 days for a sports competition, the staff was really very kind, the rooms were clean, the breakfast was plentiful and of excellent quality, just a few steps from the centre. I recommend it

15/03/2025: I went in November 2024. It's so nice to go when Jeffrey is around. They are friendly and fun, and they keep going around the tables and pay attention to you. The tension is so high that other employees wonder if Jeffrey has lost his temper haha. The food was really delicious too. I had a seafood set, basil pesto pasta, tomato pasta, white wine, and ate a lot of dessert. I enjoyed everything so much. I thought it would be 150,000 won per person, but even though I ate like this, I was surprised to see that the amount per person was only half of what I thought. I highly recommend you go if you go to Genoa.

06/03/2025: There are lots of things to enjoy about this restaurant. The tiny terrace overlooking the sea, the thoughtfully composed plates artistically arranged and presented, the sparkling Pinot Nero bianco we chose to open our palettes as the first strains of dinner started to arrive. As a party of seven, we were able to taste most of the menu. Standouts were the rabbit in porchetta and a fun textural take on beef tartare where ponzu truly shone. To finish, the rosemary creme brûlée was ideal.
14/01/2025: I recently visited La Barca restaurant, and although the food was average, I had an experience that left me a bit perplexed. The menu had interesting dishes and the service was courteous, right down to the request for oil. When I asked for some oil to season my dish and eat it with some bread, I was informed that it was not available for customers. This information surprised me, as I believe that a good restaurant, which charges €3.50 cover charge, should offer its guests the basic elements to personalize their dining experience. Ultimately, the restaurant has potential, but I hope they review this policy regarding oil, because a small gesture can make a big difference in the overall experience. Recommended with reservations.

17/03/2025: Homely trattoria with helpful, attentive, helpful and friendly staff. Typical dishes of the Genoese tradition (excellent savory pies, cod and stockfish). They have two sittings: if you want to eat early you have to book. More than fair price. Very crowded and a bit noisy, but we are in a trattoria! Worth a stop and a nice walk in the caruggi.
16/03/2025: Located in the historic center, a significantly redeveloped area, a welcoming open kitchen, clean place, good food and fresh fish! The fried food is excellent, tender and not at all greasy, the service is friendly and attentive. I highly recommend it was a wonderful evening I ate very well without feeling weighed down...YES!YES! a place that I recommend...🥰

26/03/2025: Una mención en la Guía Michelin puede no significar lo mismo en Italia que en el resto de Europa, donde la buena cena equivale a una comida fabulosa y bellamente presentada, con ese pequeño toque extra. Nuestra comida no se parecía en nada a las fotos publicadas en el sitio web. El personal fue grosero y se rió de nosotros a la cara cuando comentamos sobre la comida (al ser preguntado si nos gustó el plato). Por lo general, el personal decía “siento escuchar eso” u ofrecer algún tipo de retroalimentación, pero nos encontramos con un silencio total. Los platos se quitaron y el camarero entró en la cocina y habló con el chef, ambos luego miraron nuestras opiniones y nos miraron. Como solo había una ventana de vidrio entre nosotros, teníamos vistas completas de lo que pasaba en la cocina. Nos ofrecieron un bouche divertido, que era un triste - con menos aspecto - que - pastel de pescado tibio. Vino sin salsa, huevas, especias, hierbas o verduras. Muy claro por decir lo menos. No es un banquete para ojos ni paladar. ¿Por qué molestarse? Teniendo en cuenta que una torta de pescado se ha puesto a través de un procesador de alimentos y se ha convertido en un picadillo suave antes de ser frito, es increíble encontrar DOS huesos grandes en una torta diminuta. Debe haber sido imposible perderse los huesos grandes (todos hemos hecho pasteles de pescado nosotros mismos para que sepamos de lo que estamos hablando) , pero el chef que hizo los pasteles lo hizo. Señalamos los huesos al camarero, que sonrió con superioridad y dijo “pero señora, es pescado!” ¡Atroz actitud! El entrante era bueno (capitán magro) y muy bien presentado. Uno de los invitados no tenía mucha hambre y solo pidió un plato de pasta, el resto de nosotros pedimos varios platos. A pesar de eso, ella consiguió su comida primero de todos nosotros y tuvo que soportar caras agrias toda la noche porque no quería pedir más platos. El plato fuerte era el atún rosa. Estaba cortado como un filete de pollo y tenía una forma desigual, lo que hace que sea más difícil de cocinar. El único compañero era un pequeño tazón del tamaño de un dedal de cebolla roja confitada y nada más, ni siquiera una ramita de verduras o hierbas. Mi atún estaba demasiado cocido, con los bordes ligeramente quemados y duros, y el atún no era rosa y jugoso, como el atún normalmente se sirve. Un atún demasiado cocido es muy seco y una experiencia desagradable. Cuando le dije al camarero que estaba demasiado cocido, simplemente quitó el plato y entró en la cocina y se reportó al chef. Una vez más, sin comentarios, solo el camarero y el chef me miraron fijamente por la audacia de decir lo que pensaba después de que me preguntaran qué pensaba del plato. Podría ser algo cultural: los italianos dicen tener la mejor comida del mundo, y todos los chefs en la cocina y los camareros eran hombres. Realmente entendimos lo que estaban diciendo: cuatro mujeres de mediana edad no deberían ser opinadas sobre cosas que no entienden. Una actitud horrible. Permítanme señalar: cuatro mujeres de mediana edad que pagaban sus comidas y tenían grandes esperanzas de una excelente comida. Al salir le mencionamos al gerente que no estábamos contentos con la comida ni el trato, pero realmente no podía haber importado menos. Quizás tenga la suerte de tener un negocio exitoso y los clientes vienen a pesar de todo. Si usted es como nosotros -extranjeros- (¡y las mujeres en eso! ) , puede ser olfateado y tratado con ridículo e irrespeto. Probablemente habíamos establecido nuestras expectativas demasiado altas y la comida no cumplió. Si el trato hubiera sido mejor podríamos habernos ido con espíritus más altos, como resultó, desalentaríamos fuertemente a los extranjeros a ir allí. Y NO, no era una cosa de idiomas, el camarero hablaba bien inglés.

07/03/2025: Every time we come to have lunch here, we feel like we're returning to a familiar place, as if we were long-time customers... and yet every time they surprise us as if it were the first. The food? A spectacle. Not simply good, but the kind you feel cooked with love, with the passion of those who don't just put together ingredients, but create experiences. In short, those dishes that make you want to send a message to your grandmother saying: Grandma, don't worry, I found someone who cooks almost as well as you, hoping not to be disinherited. 🥰🥰😂😂 We came accompanied by our two medium-sized dogs, who were welcomed with more enthusiasm than certain restaurants welcome humans. No dirty looks, no annoyed faces, just smiles and a few well-placed pats. If they could, our dogs would have left an enthusiastic review full of woof woofs, how delicious, and would probably have asked to reside here. The service is impeccable. The girl in the dining room is professional, attentive, fast, never intrusive, in short, the kind of waitress who knows exactly when to intervene and when to let you contemplate the dish with the devotion of someone who has just found the meaning of life in a bite of pasta. If we really have to find a "fault" (and we do it with affection, we swear!), perhaps she could allow herself a little more confidentiality. Nothing forced, just that minimum of complicity that makes you feel even more at home. But this, obviously, is a subjective nuance, like preferring tiramisu to panna cotta, everyone has their own tastes! Overall, the verdict is only one: restaurant promoted with full marks, with honors and an academic kiss! A place where you eat well, you are welcomed warmly and you leave with a full belly and a happy heart. We will return, hungry and happy, as always ... and who knows, maybe next time we will even bring our relatives to make them understand what it really means to eat well.
17/02/2025: A small restaurant but great cuisine in picturesque Bordighera Alta. In an original decor with quotes written on signs throughout the room, the dishes are beautifully presented. The bread (with olives, etc.), pasta, and other smoked salmon are made by the owner and if there are frozen ingredients (octopus, etc.) this is indicated on the menu. The products are local. The young waitress, pleasant, speaks French. The value for money is very good, especially for the dishes with fish (€17/for a dish with a good quantity of Umbrine and its accompaniment). The kitchens are visible from the room. A very pleasant moment in this enchanting place in Liguria so well painted by Monet!
