09/08/2026: We stopped here for a late lunch after spending the morning at the beach. We were able to walk up and easily get a table at 1:30 pm on a Friday in late July, without a reservation. We ordered fried calamari, pasta, and fish. Everything was delicious. The waiter was nice and was patient with us as we only know some Italian. I would go back again.

13/06/2026: A superb evening! The service was impeccable, the only slight drawback being the wait for the hot dishes. It's true that the wait was well worth it, as the dishes were very refined and expertly prepared. A special mention to the lady who spoke to us in French; it's always a pleasure.

12/06/2026: Amazing food, the trio starter was so good and the fried anchovies were perfect, not oily, so crisp and full of flavour. The owner Katie is a gem, vivacious and super friendly. And the deserts were sublime, perfectly crisp pate brise of the lemon tart, not too sweet, just the right amount of partners of the lemon and creaminess of the meringue. Will definitely go there again. Thank you Katie and Chef husband for a great meal.

28/07/2026: We went for my birthday. It was a truly positive experience, from the quality to the presentation, and the service. And last but not least, you don't leave hungry like you do at some high-end restaurants...

14/08/2026: A delightful place, but above all, friendly service and excellent cuisine, with delicious and plentiful dishes. Last but not least, they offer gluten-free options for celiacs; they offered me a gluten-free focaccia to accompany my meal. They also offer a choice of savoury first courses and fried fish made with rice flour in oil on the side. I recommend booking.

12/08/2026: I had a wonderful time: warmly welcomed and served with kindness. The portions were generous and the dishes were carefully prepared. The seafood spaghetti was rich and the fried fish was crispy and dry. While Riva Trigoso is a very recent discovery for us, the two restaurants we've tried so far have definitely won us over. So, see you next time.

13/08/2026: Dinner on the terrace, great service. The pasta dishes are truly excellent. The focaccia tiramisu is simply incredible in both flavor and lightness! There are only a few tables, so reservations are essential. Probably one of the best restaurants in town.

13/08/2026: Incredible vegan food ! We tried the Contrasti d'estate which was surprisingly a perfect combination of flavors. You can’t go wrong with Lo Gnocco and the Mandilli de Sea (pesto genovese). The pane e vino was also delicious to finish our meal. I can’t wait to go back again 😊

12/08/2026: My partner and I, both vegans, went here for lunch, and unfortunately we didn't get to take any photos because we finished everything in record time. Everything was delicious and beautifully served! I absolutely recommend it—the place is really cute, the staff is incredibly friendly, and it's located in the alleyways, so even the walk there is really pleasant! They gave us excellent recommendations based on our tastes in both food and wine, and we were truly satisfied! We'll definitely be back!

09/08/2026: I stumbled upon Bagatto thanks to its reviews and luckily found a table for two on a Saturday evening in the middle of August. The place is very charming, with an inside area with a few tables and an outside area where you can eat in a small alley in the center of Loano. The staff immediately welcomed us warmly and served us throughout the evening with attention, friendliness, and great professionalism. The menu offers a wide selection of dishes, ranging from local cuisine to fish and meat. The wine list is excellent. We personally ordered: - Stewed baby octopus; - Pre-salted salmon served with burrata and crostini; - Fried calamari fried in sunflower oil (I want to point this out because it's been a really long time since I've had fried food. Since I have a peanut allergy, it's hard to find people who don't use peanut oil for frying. I advise all restaurants to eliminate it, given the very common allergy); -Seared tuna with pistachios served with onion sauce; -Two coffees -A still water and a glass of Pigato Total €96 Excellent value given the generous portions. Definitely worth returning and highly recommended!

06/06/2026: The recommended white wine was good. The focaccia was moist and good. The Seabream fresh pasta was light and decent. The owner and staff were friendly, which made me feel good.

04/06/2026: We traveled from Milan specifically to try this historic and renowned restaurant, drawn in by the many Instagram reels showing inviting dishes. Unfortunately, the experience didn't entirely meet our expectations, especially regarding the quantity/price ratio. What didn't work was the Recco focaccia. From the videos, it looked like a generous and rich portion; in reality, for €10, we were served three decidedly thin and "poor" pieces, one even burned! For the first courses, we ordered pasta with country-style pesto. The flavor was good and savory, but the presentation and richness of the ingredients left much to be desired; there was only one green bean and the potatoes were almost invisible. It's unfortunate to say that service to "non-regulars" is so lacking for such a famous establishment, but we had the distinct feeling that there's a disparity in treatment (both in portions and attention) between regulars/acquaintances and those, like us, who are out of town and are seen as "passing tourists." What worked The five fried anchovies were very good, fresh, and a fair portion for the price. Overall, the food is tasty, but for the prices charged, the presentation and the generous portions leave something to be desired. It's a shame, but given the trip and the small portions, we're unlikely to return.

05/08/2026: I often come to Finale Ligure, and Acqua Viva is my favorite restaurant. The food is good, and the staff is knowledgeable, extremely kind, and friendly. The location is beautiful and well-kept, and the prices are in line with the local average.

31/07/2026: Excellent seafood, in my opinion the best between Pietra and Finale. The veranda overlooking the sea is lovely. It's a shame the service is a bit slow, but it was worth it.

29/03/2026: We recommend it. A simple, traditional family restaurant. We ordered the "Il Genovese" starter, which was fine. The pasta dishes, however, were very good. We ordered chestnut gnocchi with pesto and lasagnette with pesto. We also enjoyed the house wine.

10/08/2026: The dishes were good but nothing special. The highlight was the sea bass fillet, which was brought with lots of bones. The outside tables had a slightly uneven floor. The waiters were friendly. There were few dessert options for those with allergies. The price (65 euros without wine) was decidedly high.

04/08/2026: My girlfriend used to come here with her father, and since we were in the area, we decided to return for lunch at the inn. The atmosphere feels like stepping into an Alpine chalet... truly impressive and well-kept. The owners are truly helpful and very kind and make you feel at home... and as for the food... I repeat what I told the owners that day: the best restaurant I've ever eaten at. We'll be back again.

14/08/2026: The food is good, the seating is pleasant, but without a reservation you have no chance of getting a table. That's why the points were deducted for service. However, the service from the staff was perfectly fine and courteous.

19/08/2026: The atmosphere inside is too hot, the chef's skill is undeniable, but it's a shame about the rigidity in choosing dishes from the tasting menu for tables of 6 people... The tasting menu is mandatory, so you can't choose the iconic dishes or you have to share them... a missed opportunity... the chef is very good, the raw materials are undeniable.

12/08/2026: A very well-kept and relaxing location, the qualified staff understands the customer's needs, and the food is excellent with local products. A very pleasant experience.
