09/08/2026: Good was outstanding here with such fresh ingredients and amazing food. Credit to the chef Service was good as well. The staff were kind and friendly. They were knowledgeable about their menu which helped us determine what we wanted to eat. It was such a beautiful evening in this gorgeous town.

29/05/2026: Fantastic views over Moneglia. There's no à la carte menu, but a delicious fish set menu. Very tasty food and an entertaining host. Well worth a visit.

13/06/2026: A superb evening! The service was impeccable, the only slight drawback being the wait for the hot dishes. It's true that the wait was well worth it, as the dishes were very refined and expertly prepared. A special mention to the lady who spoke to us in French; it's always a pleasure.

12/06/2026: Amazing food, the trio starter was so good and the fried anchovies were perfect, not oily, so crisp and full of flavour. The owner Katie is a gem, vivacious and super friendly. And the deserts were sublime, perfectly crisp pate brise of the lemon tart, not too sweet, just the right amount of partners of the lemon and creaminess of the meringue. Will definitely go there again. Thank you Katie and Chef husband for a great meal.

14/08/2026: A delightful place, but above all, friendly service and excellent cuisine, with delicious and plentiful dishes. Last but not least, they offer gluten-free options for celiacs; they offered me a gluten-free focaccia to accompany my meal. They also offer a choice of savoury first courses and fried fish made with rice flour in oil on the side. I recommend booking.

12/08/2026: I had a wonderful time: warmly welcomed and served with kindness. The portions were generous and the dishes were carefully prepared. The seafood spaghetti was rich and the fried fish was crispy and dry. While Riva Trigoso is a very recent discovery for us, the two restaurants we've tried so far have definitely won us over. So, see you next time.

14/07/2026: Grilled tuna steak with delicious house sauce. I was only in Genoa for two days, but I loved this place so much I went there twice. I had a lovely chat with the owner, who runs the kitchen, and her husband, who manages the restaurant. We exchanged many ideas. The cuisine is predominantly seafood, and the dishes are prepared with lovingly selected ingredients. The service is friendly, and the prices are very fair. What more could you ask for? 😄 Greetings from Messina

17/07/2026: Excellent vegan cuisine. Beautifully presented dishes and super helpful staff. Two of us showed up without a reservation, and the restaurant was almost full, and they found us a nice, cool spot in the air-conditioned dining room. Highly recommended!

16/07/2026: SPECTACULAR We found the restaurant and booked at the last minute, and we didn't have any particular expectations. It was one of the best dinners of the year! The first course (ravioli) and dessert (bread gelato) were delicious, and the appetizer (very fresh peach tartare) and second course (tempeh) were truly amazing, exceeding all expectations! We hope to return soon.

25/05/2026: Dinner to celebrate our twenty-fifth anniversary, tasting menu, everything perfect. A true taste experience, all the courses perfectly balanced in flavor: fabulous raw fish appetizer (truly unforgettable raw amberjack tartlet), spaghetti with sea urchins and truly incredible tuna bottarga. My only suggestion, but I'm afraid I'm just being subjective, is that the banana mordicroccata was a little cloying, while I found the pina colada ice cream sensational. The service was attentive, attentive without being intrusive. Truly excellent. I recommend the tasting menu to anyone new to the restaurant and wanting a complete dining experience.

18/05/2026: There's no point in complimenting this place; I've been to this magical place more than once and have always found the staff to be incredibly professional and friendly. If you want to eat the best fish of your life, this is the place to go. On top of that, I found one of the best bread baskets I've ever had, a rare find in restaurants of this caliber. Thanks to everyone who contributed to this fantastic experience.

06/06/2026: The recommended white wine was good. The focaccia was moist and good. The Seabream fresh pasta was light and decent. The owner and staff were friendly, which made me feel good.

04/06/2026: We traveled from Milan specifically to try this historic and renowned restaurant, drawn in by the many Instagram reels showing inviting dishes. Unfortunately, the experience didn't entirely meet our expectations, especially regarding the quantity/price ratio. What didn't work was the Recco focaccia. From the videos, it looked like a generous and rich portion; in reality, for €10, we were served three decidedly thin and "poor" pieces, one even burned! For the first courses, we ordered pasta with country-style pesto. The flavor was good and savory, but the presentation and richness of the ingredients left much to be desired; there was only one green bean and the potatoes were almost invisible. It's unfortunate to say that service to "non-regulars" is so lacking for such a famous establishment, but we had the distinct feeling that there's a disparity in treatment (both in portions and attention) between regulars/acquaintances and those, like us, who are out of town and are seen as "passing tourists." What worked The five fried anchovies were very good, fresh, and a fair portion for the price. Overall, the food is tasty, but for the prices charged, the presentation and the generous portions leave something to be desired. It's a shame, but given the trip and the small portions, we're unlikely to return.

29/03/2026: We recommend it. A simple, traditional family restaurant. We ordered the "Il Genovese" starter, which was fine. The pasta dishes, however, were very good. We ordered chestnut gnocchi with pesto and lasagnette with pesto. We also enjoyed the house wine.

10/08/2026: The dishes were good but nothing special. The highlight was the sea bass fillet, which was brought with lots of bones. The outside tables had a slightly uneven floor. The waiters were friendly. There were few dessert options for those with allergies. The price (65 euros without wine) was decidedly high.

04/08/2026: My girlfriend used to come here with her father, and since we were in the area, we decided to return for lunch at the inn. The atmosphere feels like stepping into an Alpine chalet... truly impressive and well-kept. The owners are truly helpful and very kind and make you feel at home... and as for the food... I repeat what I told the owners that day: the best restaurant I've ever eaten at. We'll be back again.
