5 étoiles, car pourquoi pinailler quand on tombe sur une pépite pareille ?! Petit bouï-bouï qui ne paye pas de mine, mais ... spécialités de poissons, plats magnifiquement présentés, bon vin, serveuse adorable, souriante et serviable, dessert exquis ... même l'eau et le café étaient bien meilleurs que partout ailleurs ! Bref, THE pépite du séjour pour nous.

Antipasti de la mer incroyable ! Un délice. Merci aux cuisiniers, et bravo aussi à la serveuse qui assure tout le service avec beaucoup d'efficacité et de gentillesse.
Très belle soirée dans ce petit restaurant plein de charme.

We walked in the night before at 7.30pm and booked for the following night. In order to maximise the use of their small space they do two sittings, 7&9 pm. There was a line outside at 7pm looking for last minute seats but seems like it’s always booked out.
We were shown to our table, and from then on the experience and food were top rate. The waitress flowed effortlessly from Italian, to English, to French with different clients. She explained the menu, guided us with wines and how much to order in a polite and helpful way. The “guidance” on the menu definitely played on the a few stereotypes about Italian food and we found it quite entertaining to be told not to pepper the pesto!
The food itself was amazing, we shared the smoked tuna salad. (Cold smoked like smoked salmon). It was delicious and served with an amazing lemon olive oil dressing that we mopped up with the bread.
Main courses, the ravioli with walnut pesto. Again, waitress guided us on how best to enjoy it, add Parmesan, glug of olive oil and then mix to spread the sauce evenly.
Poached Sea Bream, I know, poaching doesn’t spring to mind as an amazing way to cook fish but oh, my goodness. Poached in wine, with herbs, olives, the fish was delightful and delicious. Can’t recommend highly enough. They even brought a bag to discard the bones into.
The Semifredo and Tiramisu (with berry compote rather than coffee) were both superb.
Only regret was we didn’t have another night in Corniglia to try the rest of the menu. Worth reserving a seat but I can see why planning ahead is required.

Nous y avons dîner pour le 2eme service, 21h00. Attention si pas de réservation, vous risquez de ne pas pouvoir y manger.
Nous avons commandé les pâtes aux fruits de mer pour les enfants et le poisson frais du jour. (Espadon)
Malheureusement impossible de manger les pâtes pour les enfants et moi tellement elles étaient picantes. Pourtant nous avions prévenu la serveuse que c’était pour les enfants. J’espère que la prochaine fois elle préviendra ses clients.
Elle nous a proposé un autre espadon mais sans nous dire si c’était offert. Du coup au vu du tarif de la note déjà importante j’ai décliné.
Cela devait sûrement être bons mais nous n’avons pas pu en profiter, dommage…
Même pas de geste sur la note. Pas très commerçant tout ça

La serveuse est charmante, très sympathique et parle plusieurs langues

Ci venivamo da fidanzati, circa trent'anni fa: la mia ragazza (ora mia moglie) usciva dall'ufficio, infilavamo la Cisa e passavamo la serata in quel locale così angusto ma così aperto al mondo, spesso sedendo allo stesso tavolo con persone che neppure parlavano la nostra lingua. Niente ricette sofisticate: a seconda delle materie prime disponibili cambiava la lavagna del menù, però sapori semplici e fragranti, ben cucinati dalla burbera maestria di Agostino, e dolce a sorpresa: ad una certa ora arrivavano da casa sua le teglie con ciò che estro ed ingredienti avevano creato.
La vita cambia le abitudini e tante volte abbiamo pensato di tornarci: l'abbiamo fatto la settimana scorsa con qualche anno e un figlio oramai maggiorenne. È stato splendido: stesso ambiente, stessa genuinità ma maggiore consapevolezza. Consiglio l'esperienza.
