05/05/2026: Very welcoming place with two rooms, one outside and the other inside, I enjoyed an excellent pizza.

13/04/2026: Three people, three pizzas, two 04 beers, a small plate of fried food for three, a bottle of water, €73.00, honestly... Then there are the hops, €10. What the heck is that?

23/05/2026: Definitely a top-notch restaurant for those seeking excellent, fresh seafood. The atmosphere is elegant and welcoming. Service is fast and impeccable. The chef is superb. The wine cellar is well-stocked. The bill is reasonable for the restaurant's caliber, but you can't go wrong with it.

15/05/2026: As usual, the experience was exceptional. I always come back and am always amazed by the quality of the dishes, which are meticulously prepared down to the last detail, and the consistently professional and friendly service.

04/06/2026: I finally figured out why it's always empty! It's scorching hot, but the dusty fans can't be turned on. Forgettable first courses, and greasy fried foods that taste like stale oil. Unfriendly service, and every time a waitress approaches a table, she pushes diners away with her arms or rubs plates on her clothes. Mediocre wine list.

09/06/2026: We booked and were greeted by a lady with a big smile and a very calm demeanor, even though the place was packed. We waited very little and ate excellent pizzas. The service was friendly, polite, and fast. We spent €70 for five people, including wine. Excellent, I'd say. I highly recommend it.

01/09/2025: A fantastic little gem we stumbled across. We were a family of 13 and were seated straight away. Advice to non-Italian speakers: there's no 'menu' per se, but we were served unlimited pizzas of the chef's choice until we were full, and then a pasta of our choice. If you want a specific topping or dish, the staff did what they could to accommodate the request. We didn't quite get it at first, but ended up leaving stuffed and keen to return! The food was superb – we had a range of vegetarian and meat pizzas plus incredible authentic carbonara. Service was casual but welcoming and homely. The family clearly take a lot of pride in their establishment. The views over Itri were stunning, truly the standout of the location. Highly recommended!

13/06/2026: We went on the advice of the lifeguard Sandro from Calafeula. We ordered four mussel soups when they arrived cold, then paccheri alla Ponzese, spaghetti with anchovies and fennel, then fried calamari and shrimp. Poor-quality fish for the price.

18/10/2025: The fried food and anchovies were really below par and did not live up to the restaurant's name, absolutely poor quality.

13/06/2026: Insects on the table, in the wine, and on the plate. Waited almost two hours for two first courses and two second courses, fish undercooked. Staff lacking. Prices too high for the quality.

24/05/2026: Excellent dinner, the first and second courses were surprisingly very good. There were seven of us and everyone really enjoyed what they ordered. We will gladly return.

09/05/2026: Dinner with my wife... Really very peaceful.... The food was excellent, the staff and owner were very kind, and the atmosphere was very nice, especially the veranda where we were. I will definitely be back.

04/09/2025: Welcoming staff, but the quality was truly poor. The calamari appetizer was decent. The first courses were very elaborate and didn't bring out the flavor of the fish. The fried fish was awful and blatantly frozen. There were four of us: two appetizers, four first courses, one fried fish, and one dessert, four bottles of water, and one white wine (a satirical one), for the modest sum of €60 per person. I'm sorry to say this, but I won't be returning.

01/09/2025: When we're in Ponza, we never miss an evening on Gennarino's splendid terrace. A welcoming, family atmosphere, extremely friendly staff, and traditional cuisine with a touch of innovation. Try the new summer dish, Pasta alla Gennarino! Prices are in line with the location. Highly recommended.

02/06/2026: I stopped in almost by chance for an aperitivo and was pleasantly surprised. The aperitivo was excellent and not at all predictable, with many excellent tastings. The owners were very kind, highly recommended.

31/05/2026: Thanks to Daniele, my partner, my brother, and I were able to try Zi Amalia's specialties this week. Delicious montanare, just like the ones my mom used to make, and special spritzes with new and untried flavors.
