03/06/2025: Ristorante trovato all’ultimo minuto e che mi ha molto entusiasmato sia per la qualità del cibo che per la cortesia dello staff che si è subito prestato per una sistemazione . Qualità e prezzo ok. Consiglio vivamente.

01/06/2025: pranzo domenicale con la mia famiglia.. mangiato veramente bene, purtroppo il servizio lascia veramente a desiderare, a partire dalla proprietaria fino alla responsabile di sala.. è veramente un peccato perché vi assicuro che la qualità del mangiare è veramente di primissimo livello.. complimenti allo staff in cucina molto meno a quello di sala

21/10/2025: We celebrated my husband's 50th birthday and had a really great time. The place was very nice, with lots of people of all ages. The food was excellent, and the cocktails were exceptional. All the people who served us were always helpful and kind. Thanks to Elisa for the entire organization and management of the place.

19/10/2025: We celebrated my daughter's 18th birthday with about thirty guests in the newly opened event hall. Everything went perfectly: - the beautiful location (setting, lighting, big screen, tables, sofas for seated dining, and tables and stools for standing and dancing), - the staff (we were assigned two receptionists and a third to manage and coordinate the evening) were kind, professional, always present, and ready to accommodate our every request. Impeccable service from start to finish. - the DJ and karaoke music were superb. - the food and drinks were all excellent, with gluten-free options available for allergy sufferers and celiac disease sufferers. In short, we couldn't have chosen a better place to celebrate. A special thanks to Elisa, the venue's owner.

20/09/2025: Finally, a restaurant worthy of the local culinary tradition...a last bastion among so many restaurants that have declined in quality in recent years. Everything was excellent, from the appetizer (tasty but without sauces) to the dessert. Fair prices. Enjoy your meal!

16/09/2025: An excellent restaurant with excellent service and a stunning sea view. We were recommended to try the squid salad, which was delicious. Also delicious was the fried seafood mix of squid, shrimp, and fish.

06/10/2025: It is a raw dimond! The food is gorgeous, the service polite and we found the best toilets in Rom. Seriously the food was amazing. The pasta was tasteful and on point. And the bread was crunchy and fresh cut. Totally recommend!

23/09/2025: The best tiramisu I've ever tasted! We also had pasta, which was very good too. The setting is pleasant, the prices are affordable, and the service was excellent. I highly recommend stopping here during your stay in Rome.

03/10/2025: Yesterday, for my husband's birthday, we went to celebrate at Giggetto. An extraordinary experience: wonderful food, a pleasant atmosphere, and excellent service. I wholeheartedly recommend it... unless you reserve, it's difficult to find a spot on the veranda, where you can admire a breathtaking view of Lake Bolsena. We'll be back very soon.

02/10/2025: I've been going there for 50 years, it's always good, the management is still by the same family, now we've got the grandchildren, the ones who served me 50 years ago, and the food and service have even improved, plus the place is enchanting.

12/10/2025: It's possible. Even though it's Sunday lunchtime... the codfish "alla contadina" was excellent... and a stroke of luck... I found porcini mushrooms and chanterelles... I recommend the porcini salad if you like their aroma... always remember to ask if they're sautéed or whole for the roasted ones... you'll have to decide... otherwise, everything else was fine... The owners were super kind, and their staff even more so... I forgot about the view of Rome... perfect.

27/08/2025: I dined at this restaurant a few nights ago to try the Pinsa. The Hard-boiled Pinsa and the Capricciosa were terrible. All the ingredients were of the lowest quality, and overall, both Pinsas were disgusting! The ham was off-color, the salami slice was fatty and too thin, the tomato tasted like nothing, as did the artichoke, egg, and pancetta. Furthermore, they write on the menu that the water is microfiltered, but instead they served us slightly chilled water that tasted like tap water. Truly a terrible experience; I wonder how they can keep up with such disgusting food. I understand a tourist from the other side of the world who might not realize what they're eating (either because they're tired or hungry after a long day), but I hope a Roman will immediately realize that this is a place to avoid! Instead, I recommend the Pinsa at Gran Caffè Roma, which I tried a couple of weeks ago. The new management makes an exceptional Pinsa Amatriciana with quality ingredients and delicious tomatoes. Not like these makeshift ones. Photos and receipt attached.

12/10/2025: The fish appetizers were not bad, well-made, although some of the combinations were a bit overdone and overpowered the fish flavor. I had a "risotto," which couldn't be called such because it was made with cream. In my opinion, the quality/price ratio needs to be reconsidered.

27/09/2025: Yes, the food is good, but the service is truly terrible. There are no off-menu items (on a Saturday night), and most importantly, they don't have everything on the menu, so you're forced to choose from the few items listed. At 10:30, when you still have to finish dinner, they come and tell you the kitchen is about to close and to bring forward any desserts you want for later! It's absurd, they practically kick you out in a polite manner, and at 11:00 PM, the restaurant is empty! They have no choice of liqueurs or spirits! A real shame because the location is very beautiful!

03/09/2025: If there's one place in Rome I always love returning to, it's Il Papetto on Gianicolense. I don't know if it's the family atmosphere, the consistently friendly service, or the quality of the fish, but every time I go there I leave with a smile and a happy belly. It's one of those restaurants that makes you feel at home, without too many frills, but with an incredible attention to flavor and fresh ingredients. The first time I went, the name intrigued me, but it was the aroma that wafted from the door that won me over. As soon as I sat down, I immediately noticed the courtesy of the staff: smiling, helpful, and ready to offer advice without ever being intrusive. And I must say, their recommendations have always turned out perfectly. The seafood appetizers are, in my opinion, Papetto's real strength. Fresh, varied, and lightly prepared, they're a riot of flavors without ever being heavy, and they open your stomach for the following courses. I've tried the raw fish several times, and I must say the quality of the fish is exceptional: you can taste that it's been carefully chosen. The cooked dishes are also fabulous, with simple yet thoughtful combinations that enhance the natural flavor of the sea without overpowering it. Every bite seems to tell a different story, and that's rare. The mussels deserve a special mention: simply fantastic. The broth they're served in is unforgettable. It's balanced, light yet flavorful, with a final touch that makes you want to mop up every last drop. The first courses are equally extraordinary, maintaining simplicity and complexity at the same time, with that common denominator: fresh ingredients. It's clear that behind them is a particular attention to detail and the harmony of flavors. The atmosphere is simple, welcoming, and refined, unpretentious but with a warm feeling that immediately puts you at ease. There's nothing forced: it's almost like dining at the home of friends who love to cook well and share their passion. Ultimately, Il Papetto is one of those restaurants that makes you want to return again and again. I recommend it to anyone who loves fresh fish, authentic flavors, and the pleasure of being pampered by attentive and sincere service. For me, it's become a go-to in Rome, a place where I know I'll eat well and leave satisfied. My recommendation, of course.
