27/08/2025: We had dinner with friends and family at this beautiful seaside spot. The location is very quiet, suitable for children, and the service was impeccable. The waiters are always very kind and knowledgeable. For appetizers, we ordered salmon tartare with avocado, octopus and potato salad, and bruschetta with clams. For our first course, we ordered spaghetti with shrimp. Divine. For our second course, baked sea bream and sea bass with baked potatoes were truly delicious. For dessert, we had watermelon, tiramisu, and the house tart, which was also delicious. Service, hospitality, and great availability from Giovanna. We will definitely be back. Thank you. 💞.

07/09/2025: One of the best, or perhaps the best, traditional seafood restaurant in Ostia. A sure thing. Fresh fish and a beautiful setting. The manager, Luciano, is the star. He keeps everything under control and understands your tastes, and while you're still sitting down, he makes you feel at ease with a few thoughtful touches, like the waiter already bringing you water, or, if you're a regular, maybe even a focaccia or a taste of the appetizer. Exceptional raw fish, perfect spaghetti with clams. Perfect and light grilled food. In short, a great place to return to over and over again without ever being disappointed. Great Luciano 👍

07/09/2025: My boyfriend and I were there last night. I'll start by saying I'm celiac, and he ate the gluten-free dishes with me. They're very accommodating for celiac disease, which is a plus. For our appetizer, we ordered a typical Gaeta dish: the calamari votipiatto. We were particularly impressed by the quality of the ingredients: the small, soft, melt-in-the-mouth calamari, and the crunchy texture provided by the flour (I think rice flour) contributed to the dish's success. We enjoyed it with their homemade gluten-free bread; the texture was more like focaccia, almost spongy, but perfect for eating the small calamari. For our first course, we ordered "il follaro," thick spaghetti with pistachio cream and swordfish. There was a small mistake when ordering because the waitress was about to bring us the dish with gluten, but, unsure, she quickly realized it and fixed it by having the first course prepared gluten-free. We were only informed afterwards that the gluten-free version of this dish doesn't have spaghetti, but pennette, and I think it would be nicer if they'd presented the available gluten-free pasta shapes first. In any case, the pistachio cream is homemade and very balanced, enhancing the flavor of the swordfish. The fish was fresh, flavorful, and tender. For our second course, we ordered the fried cod fillet with hummus. The fish was also fresh, tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. The frying was very light, and the hummus wasn't particularly impressive in terms of flavor and texture. Overall, a good dish, but I wouldn't order it again simply to make room for other courses that, in our opinion, deserve more. For dessert, we had a vanilla custard garnished with berries, meringues, and a black cherry syrup. It was a pleasant way to end the meal, but I wouldn't have used the syrup, as it overshadowed the delicate flavor of the custard. The service was quite good, despite it being a Saturday night and therefore a bit crowded. We'd especially like to thank Stella (the chef's sister), who was very kind and professional. The final bill, including a couple of glasses of wine, was slightly above average but nothing outrageous, especially considering the quality of the fish, which, based on what we tasted, was quite high. I think we'd also love to return in the future to try the tiella (a typical Gaeta dish), which they obviously also make gluten-free.

09/09/2025: THERE WAS 7 OF US EATING, 3 OF WHICH WERE CHILDREN. MY EXPERIENCE WAS TRULY CATASTROPHIC. SPECIFICALLY, THE FOOD WAS NOT FRESH AND UNWORTHY, AND IN ADDITION, THE SERVICE WAS POOR. NOT TO MENTION THE BILL WAS QUITE SALTY FOR WHAT WE WERE OFFERED. ABSOLUTELY AVOID IT!
07/09/2025: We chose this historic restaurant to organize my nephew's baptism. From the manager, Barbara, who was professional and attentive to all our requests, to the excellent cuisine, to the attentive and impeccable wait staff throughout the dinner, we had a wonderful time. Highly recommended for the organization, location, excellent cuisine, and impeccable service.

24/08/2025: What can I say? The dishes we ordered were worth the wait. The mixed fried food served in a crispy, non-greasy cuoppo, the rice ball and pasta frittata were excellent. The first courses were served in a pan, so you could taste all the flavors of the various ingredients. The only flaw, for my taste, was that the pasta was a little undercooked. The girl serving us was quick and attentive. We didn't have to wait long for our dishes. I recommend reserving a table since there aren't many.

17/08/2025: I tried the frico and polenta for the first time, truly delicious!! The portion was perfect. The baked potatoes were also truly special and homemade. We waited a little over 10 minutes before being seated, and we didn't have a reservation. We were seated on the veranda, which was cool and welcoming. The waiter L with the black hair was fantastic, he was so kind to us 🤍 I'll definitely be back.

25/08/2025: A simple fishmonger's shop from the outside, but once you sit down and eat, it's a real spectacle. Fish, first courses, second courses, appetizers, fried dishes—something incredible. I personally had cooked salmon with side dishes, two mixed fried fish dishes, one calamari dish, and for the first course, the seafood lasagna. What can I say, ladies and gentlemen? Delicious, to say the least. The atmosphere is very basic, but if you want to return to tradition and origins, it's the perfect place. I highly recommend going.

10/08/2025: The dishes were very expensive and the quantity was very small. The quality wasn't very good either. Don't come.
09/08/2025: A very nice restaurant with very attentive and friendly waiters. Probably because we were served in Italian. However, the friendliness of the service quickly diminished. This was because I doubted the weight of the fish I had ordered. I ordered the fresh market fish. The waiter told me he had a sea bream. However, it weighs 900g and he could split it. 100g costs a whopping €12. I ordered the grilled sea bream. I got a piece that weighed about 200 grams (that's not half!) that was baked to death in the oven and didn't taste fresh at all, but rather old and fishy. In the attached photo, I placed my knife next to what was supposedly half a fillet of a fish weighing almost a kilo. This fillet cost a whopping €54! (After complaining, €10 was deducted from the bill). After this incident, in which I was offered another dish, and something similar, the friendliness vanished. Otherwise, the food is solid, the selection is limited, and the prices are too high for what's on offer. Overall, not recommended!
