09/09/2025: A friend and I ate at this restaurant. We didn't like the owner at all. We went to pay, the bill was €59. We told him we'd split the bill with two people, using the card. He charged us €30 for each, adding €1 to the bill. We didn't say anything to avoid arguments, but these things just aren't done!

22/08/2025: The place was packed, but it was still possible to chat peacefully. We ate fish because they serve dishes that aren't found elsewhere, very unique and delicious. I recommend the mixed antipasti and the fried fish. Another time I had the spaghetti allo scoglio, and they were delicious. Excellent.

19/08/2025: I always ordered takeout, almost every week. The prices were never clear, but now it's gone too far. I always ordered sea bream parcels for 2 pieces for 15 euros. The last order my husband picked up didn't notice, and he charged me an extra 25 euros. I called her, and she was very helpful at first. Then we went there, and she said the parcels were 20 euros each, but they were 2 for a 40-euro portion. On Just Eat, it says 15 euros for a 2-piece portion. She made excuses to avoid giving us the 25 euros back. We also saw that she buys the tonnatelli at the supermarket, not homemade. I'm sorry, but we'll never go there again.

09/09/2025: THERE WAS 7 OF US EATING, 3 OF WHICH WERE CHILDREN. MY EXPERIENCE WAS TRULY CATASTROPHIC. SPECIFICALLY, THE FOOD WAS NOT FRESH AND UNWORTHY, AND IN ADDITION, THE SERVICE WAS POOR. NOT TO MENTION THE BILL WAS QUITE SALTY FOR WHAT WE WERE OFFERED. ABSOLUTELY AVOID IT!

07/09/2025: We chose this historic restaurant to organize my nephew's baptism. From the manager, Barbara, who was professional and attentive to all our requests, to the excellent cuisine, to the attentive and impeccable wait staff throughout the dinner, we had a wonderful time. Highly recommended for the organization, location, excellent cuisine, and impeccable service.

02/10/2025: Terrible experience. Food was very poorly cooked. Paid almost 100 euro per person for bad food. It seems they gave a new cook that made very bad food. They saw we did not eat some of the dishes yet refused to take them off the bill. Old place not a nice experience.

14/08/2025: We were a group of three friends looking for a restaurant in Grottaferrata for dinner. We considered three or four within a 100-meter radius, but none of them were entirely convincing. Finally, we found La Roncola, which had a high rating and was well-regarded by many, and we set off. Since a young woman with us had dietary restrictions, we looked for the menu at the entrance to clear up any doubts, but we couldn't find one. Tired of searching further, however, we requested a table and sat down. After a few minutes, we were asked if we'd like water, which was promptly brought to us. A few more minutes passed, and a waitress came to our table and asked if we were ready to order. We told her we weren't ready yet because no one had brought us menus, and she promptly replied that there were no menus and that she would list the dishes available for that evening: four or five appetizers, four or five first courses, three second courses, and a few side dishes. Puzzled by the lack of a menu but hungry, we considered ordering two or three appetizers to share, but were told we couldn't split the appetizer because it included all the listed courses, and that if we thought it was too much, we could order a single course at most. Puzzled by the refusal, we decided to order just one appetizer anyway (even though we would have ordered more), choosing one main course from the three available, and three side dishes. In short: one water, one appetizer (three meatballs), three strips (200g of grilled meat seasoned with oil and salt, €25 per dish), three side dishes, and one coffee cost us a whopping €100. Since the bill didn't seem fair for what we'd eaten, we pointed out that restaurants are required to display a menu, so they can give customers the option to choose whether or not to order. We were told that if we asked for the menu, we would have it. A truly irritating attitude. To top it all off, we paid part of the bill in cash, and of course, there was no receipt.

02/07/2025: Very intimate restaurant, with a menu of land and sea. We chose in 4 adults all seafood courses, while his girls took a half plate of pasta each. Very kind and helpful waitress, the friendly and present owner, very good food (including raw!!!) We will definitely be back!

10/09/2025: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The quality of the fish is excellent: we tried almost all the appetizers, both raw and cooked, and they were all delicious. The wine list is excellent, and the desserts are also good. The location is well-kept and pleasant, with the option of dining outside. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always ready to offer advice without ever being intrusive. Definitely a place to try again!

09/09/2025: As usual, I'm leaving a detailed review. Today I had lunch at Oltremare in Fiumicino. The location is very nice and has a sea view... excellent food... excellent and very friendly service... Let's start with the first courses... the rice with scampi cream was very good... but the spaghetti with lupini beans was excellent... I have to say, I've never had them this good... truly 10 out of 10. Then we decided to have some delicious appetizers... good seafood salad, delicious octopus with arugula and cucumber, excellent fried baby octopus, and the fish meatballs with an extraordinary flavor... you have to try them, they were excellent!... and then finally... a real treat... never tried before... finally something new... PRICKLY PEAR SORBET... well, really, really good!!!! Compliments also to the young man who served us, very, very kind and professional! In short, I have to say, a truly excellent lunch. Compliments to the owner Roberto...keep it up because the quality is evident! THE WINE YOU CHOSEN IS EXCELLENT...which one did I choose? See the photo! Last but not least...the things I love...are the "gems" the scented wipes on the table for the hands...I really like these things! Rating 5...shame because you deserved a nice 10. As for the price? As everyone usually wants to read...the quality is perfectly in line with the price paid. Adequate and in line with the quality of the products chosen! Thanks...I'll be back to try the second courses!!!

A very elegant restaurant, impeccable service, exquisite and succulent dishes, not to mention the immense wine list with fine wines, and last but not least, the prices are fair. Furthermore, both fish and meat dishes are served. If I really have to nitpick, but it could be subjective because I am a good eater, perhaps everything would be perfect if the dishes were slightly more abundant. All in all, if you want to eat well and want to make a good impression by inviting someone to lunch or dinner, this is the right restaurant!

05/09/2025: We found ourselves in the area after a stroll through Formia, and stopped at this restaurant, a Slow Food Presidium. They brought us an entrée while we waited to order. With a wide selection of wines, we opted for marzolino cheese, fried calamari, a mixed house antipasto, and eggplant parmigiana. We continued with ricotta-filled ravioli and seared cuttlefish with a side of chicory. For a total of €130, Very professional service. They have both an indoor and outdoor dining area.
