A Michelin-starred experience... without the rigidity of a Michelin-starred restaurant!
If there's one place worth discovering before reservations become impossible, it's Ostrica Pazza.
It doesn't have a Michelin star on the menu, but it has everything you'd expect from a great gastronomic experience: extraordinary ingredients, meticulously crafted plating, and bold, perfectly balanced flavor combinations. Every course is a surprise, from the first to the last bite, with a mastery in showcasing the catch (and the oysters, as the name suggests!) that's truly extraordinary.
The real strength? The cuisine is top-notch, but the dining room maintains a welcoming, dynamic atmosphere, free from the snobbish attitude sometimes found in glossy restaurants. The service is impeccable, attentive, and never intrusive.
Excellent value for money considering the technique and research behind every dish.
If you're looking for true seafood haute cuisine made with passion and creativity, Ostrica Pazza is a must-see. We will definitely be back!
09/08/2026: There are places you simply go to eat, and then there are places you live an experience. Ostrica Pazza definitely belongs to the latter category.
We chose this wonderful sea-view spot in Ostia to celebrate my partner's birthday, a special day for us, and we can honestly say we couldn't have made a better choice.
From the first moment, we were welcomed by Mr. Marco, the owner, who accompanied us throughout the experience with a constant, discreet, yet warm presence. He made us feel pampered, describing each dish and each individual ingredient with a passion that goes far beyond mere work.
And then there's Laura. A chef with a capital C.
Every course spoke to something: care, attention, passion, and above all, love for what she does. The fish was exceptionally fresh and high-quality, and every dish surprised us with every bite. You could clearly sense the passion and dedication behind every preparation.
To top it all off, sommelier Pier perfectly understood our tastes and needs, guiding us with professionalism and discretion throughout this culinary journey.
A huge thank you also to Tommaso, impeccable during every course, always attentive and present, in perfect harmony with Marco and the rest of the staff.
And as if that weren't enough, carefully chosen background music accompanied the lunch, creating the perfect vibe that made the atmosphere even more pleasant and special.
But the best part?
We didn't feel like customers. We felt like guests.
Guests in a home where everyone did their best to give us a moment to remember.
For my partner's birthday, I was looking for something special, and without knowing it, I found so much more: a memory we will never forget.
A truly heartfelt thank you to Marco, Laura, Pier, Tommaso, and the entire Ostrica Pazza staff for giving us such a wonderful day.
We left there with smiles, full bellies, and above all, the desire to return.
And we will be back soon. That's for sure.
Because when a place makes you feel at home, while offering extraordinary cuisine and such genuine attention, it's no longer just a restaurant.
It becomes a place of the heart.

28/05/2026: Incredible. I'm the daughter and granddaughter of fishermen, so I recognize fresh fish, and this certainly was! It's the only fishmonger/restaurant I've found in Rome with fish like this! I'll definitely be back. They also do takeout carpaccio/tartare (in addition to selling it at the counter, of course), and I'll be back for that too!
The waiter who served us (who I think was more than just a waiter) was also truly friendly and pleasant.
The only downside was our proximity to the kitchen doors and the constant coming and going, but that's negligible given the quality of the food and the atmosphere.
23/05/2026: At Pescheria Sor Duilio, the fish is of superior quality, incredibly fresh, and clearly selected with care. I tried the sautéed wild mussels—simply excellent, with a full, authentic flavor—and the potato gnocchi with cherry tomatoes and pink shrimp, a delicate and balanced dish that perfectly showcases the ingredients. The wine list is surprisingly detailed and well-crafted, with perfect pairings for each course.
The only disappointing note was seeing the owner repeatedly scold the staff in front of customers, creating a tense atmosphere that doesn't sit well with a dining experience of this caliber. The staff, it must be said, maintained professionalism and courtesy at all times.
For fresh fish, it's a must. For a truly peaceful dinner, one hopes that certain dynamics remain far from the dining room.

12/04/2026: I had a wonderful experience at the Hotel Garibaldi. The hotel is very charming and the staff is excellent. I dined at their restaurant and was impressed: excellent food and a pleasant atmosphere (the panoramic view from the terrace is an incredible added bonus!). Reading other reviews, I had high expectations regarding the food and cleanliness, and I can confirm that they were all met.

Their presence makes every visit special, as their love for their craft and attention to detail is immediately evident.
From traditional seafood cuisine to wood-fired pizzas, every dish tells a story of tradition, quality, and authenticity. The aroma of the oven, the freshness of the ingredients, and the meticulous preparation make every course memorable.

It's practically inside Villa Gregoriana, and the view during dinner is wonderful.

Just one thing: we had an end-of-year dinner with the school, about 80 people, the whole room to ourselves. There was no air conditioning, just three large fans. We were dying of the heat...

05/08/2026: We chose this restaurant, where we've been coming for years and have always enjoyed it, to celebrate a special occasion. When we booked, we had also asked for a table near the air conditioning, but unfortunately that wasn't the case. It was scorching hot!
When we arrived, the table wasn't ready yet, and the service was truly disappointing. The waiter proved to be unprepared: the requested ice bucket for the wine never arrived, and we drank it warm. The numerous empty water bottles remained on the table throughout the dinner, and when it was time for the cake, I had to clear the space myself. Even the prosecco was opened and left in a corner on the table... without being served; the glasses arrived much later, when it was already warm.
As for the food, there's nothing to complain about; it remains as good as ever. It's a shame, however, that the portions, once one of the restaurant's strong points, seemed decidedly small.
We left feeling a bit disappointed, especially since it was an important evening for the birthday boy...
29/07/2026: We had "Le Fantasie del Mare" as an appetizer, perfect for two because it's plentiful, and that alone was filling. Then we had a first course, a generous and very tasty one, and a second course...
3 bottles of water and a dessert.
We split everything between two people because otherwise we wouldn't have finished anything.
Good value for money.
The place is a bit rustic, but it's definitely worth it...
The staff is kind and courteous.

21/07/2026: It's a shame I can only give it 5 stars. Everything was perfect, from the welcome to the quality of the food. What can I say about the location, practically on the waterfront? Kudos to the kitchen and the waiters, always present, courteous, and knowledgeable. Excellent value. Highly recommended. We'll be back again to try other delicacies.
11/07/2026: Instagram advertised a Brazilian night, but didn't play a single Brazilian song the entire evening. I was very disappointed; music in Spanish isn't Brazilian music.

03/11/2025: My partner and I went for dinner. The restaurant is modern, with an open kitchen. They only have a few tables, so the service is attentive and fast.
We opted for the meat tasting menu (€55) and were delighted,
finding the attention to detail in the dishes remarkable.
Furthermore, my partner is celiac and was able to enjoy a fantastic dinner despite this, as the kitchen was equipped with gluten-free bread and pasta. (Speaking with the staff, we believe we learned they also cater to lactose-free options.) They should publicize this feature more, because it's well worth it. The dishes always arrived together, and we were able to enjoy a wonderful evening. We'll definitely be back!!
