01/04/2026: I use to come here with my classmates for special occasions when we were studying abroad in Rome. Twentyfive years later I brought my family for dinner, and it hasn't changed one bit! Still as delicious as ever. Patient with the language barrier. Ask for recommendations if you aren't certain about something, but do try the strawberry tiramisu. You won't be disappointed!

01/06/2026: An excellent dining experience. A welcoming venue with the option of using the air-conditioned veranda. The staff is professional and helpful, yet never intrusive. Everything is top-notch: from the raw appetizers to the first courses, from the main courses to the desserts. They offer a vast assortment of oysters of every species, flavor, and size, served on ice in a wooden boat. The wine list is well-stocked, from sparkling to still. The only drawback: the music is too loud and the selection of songs is unsuitable for a meal. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the products served.

12/04/2026: I had a wonderful experience at the Hotel Garibaldi. The hotel is very charming and the staff is excellent. I dined at their restaurant and was impressed: excellent food and a pleasant atmosphere (the panoramic view from the terrace is an incredible added bonus!). Reading other reviews, I had high expectations regarding the food and cleanliness, and I can confirm that they were all met.

03/05/2026: Don't be fooled by the fake reviews. This restaurant is on the Ostia seafront, but the owner clearly thinks he's in Porto Cervo. I didn't like the first course: a risotto where the licorice covered every other flavor (an hour's wait for this dish). I agree with the other customers: Mr. Marco has a showy, arrogant, and pushy manner, which he probably uses to throw people off by the absurd prices, which are very vague on the menu. That said, a €6 cover charge is insane. Especially since the service is subpar and therefore completely out of line. The INCOMPETENT waitress didn't even know what was on her plate, and there were other mix-ups... for that kind of money (~€150 per person), the service, location, and table setting should be far superior. Anyone who says otherwise has never experienced quality service.

30/04/2026: Found by chance, I think it's the only restaurant in Ostia worthy of its name. I'm truly impressed by the freshness of the fish. Honestly, I don't like writing reviews, but I have to say something because when you're pleasantly surprised and satisfied, you have to praise the expertise, the skill... what can I say if you don't go?! You don't know what you're missing.

04/07/2026: On a business trip, I stopped for a quick dinner. The food and service are excellent, and pizza is also available. It's practically inside Villa Gregoriana, and the view during dinner is wonderful.

29/06/2026: Beautiful restaurant, breathtaking location, but overpriced in my opinion. Two appetizers, two pasta dishes, a slice of meat, and a regular bottle of wine came to €112... the most expensive I've had in the area.

04/07/2026: Shameful! They charged us €60 for two sea bream!!!! It was also extremely dry and not particularly fresh or even of high quality. It was a small portion; I don't know how they weighed 1kg of fish; maybe it was 1kg if you include the potatoes! The waiter was quite rude; we will never return, only to be mocked and robbed like this.

28/06/2026: We spent a day at Lido La Tirrena and accidentally booked a table at this restaurant. The place is beautiful, being right on the beach; the service was impeccable; the value for money was excellent, and the dishes were all plentiful and excellent! Special mention goes to the head waiter Silvia and the owner and chef Alessandro, whom we had the pleasure of meeting on the occasion!

10/05/2026: We discovered Mare Fritto in Gaeta and fell in love! A small, simple place, a true gem for those who love well-prepared fish. Super fresh fish, light and flavorful fried food, all prepared with care and quality that you can taste from the first bite. The atmosphere is casual yet welcoming, perfect for a simple yet delicious meal. If you're in Gaeta, it's definitely a place to try ✨🐟 Scarpetta is guaranteed!

30/12/2025: I visited this pub as a couple and had a truly pleasant experience. The staff was friendly, helpful, and always available, making us feel immediately at ease. The quality of the meat is excellent, well-cooked, and flavorful; you can sense the attention to detail in selecting the ingredients. The place is beautiful, well-kept, and very welcoming, perfect for a quiet evening or just to spend time with friends. Definitely a place to return to.

15/06/2026: Terrible experience. The only redeeming feature of the dinner was the fried food. I hope it was just a mix-up. All the food (including the appetizers) arrived cold and extremely late. We waited 50 minutes for the pizza. To be fair, they told us they'd remake it, but out of hunger and fear that it would take the same amount of time to arrive, we preferred to eat as much as possible. Finally, I asked for a well-cooked marinara with plenty of sauce. It was exactly what was pictured... Never again

02/06/2026: Authentic Neapolitan pizza. A soft dough with an avalanche of condiments!!! They even make pizza with a stuffed crust. Excellent value for money!!! The desserts are wonderful, delicious. Courteous and professional service, enhanced by a stunning lake view. Easy parking in front.
