17/11/2025: Yesterday I went to lunch, everything was fine, but when I was frying it, I found a very long hair in the batter. At first, I thought it was mine, but the difference was substantial: the hair was blond, and I'm black. I called the guy very politely, but I didn't receive an apology from the head waiter or the owner. I also work in the restaurant business, and I didn't want to write a review like that, but I was very disappointed.

25/10/2025: We've been here many times and it's always a sure thing. The staff is friendly and efficient, the food is excellent, and the chef's daily specials are always exceptional. A must-try on the Roman coast.

26/09/2025: We tried the restaurant, staying at the hotel, with the à la carte menu. The view is the most beautiful on Ponza, a marvelous terrace overlooking Chiaia di Luna beach. The menu is different for lunch and dinner, both satisfying. The prices are obviously high, but for the location and the quality, they're justified. The service is perfect, very professional. For dinner, we tried the fried calamari and grilled calamari on a potato cake, both excellent. The salad was also a surprise. The dessert was a bit disappointing. For lunch, the spaghetti with clams and bottarga was excellent. And so was the seafood salad. A feast for the eyes and the palate.

20/09/2025: Let me start by saying that I'm not interested in denigrating anyone, but rather in encouraging improvement. I'm giving it two stars because you expect more from a four-star hotel restaurant. The location isn't enough—it's very beautiful, and the ambiance is also very good—but the rest is needed. The service could be improved, especially regarding the cutlery arrangement and maintaining the same non-standard servings for two people. Then there's the food. A dish that "ran out" at 8:30 PM should be removed from the menu, and you shouldn't wait to be asked to tell us so. We ordered two first courses, which, based on their names, raised certain expectations, but the flavors were very distant and basic (the base was tomato, and that was basically all we could taste). Then there was the fried fish, which left us unsure about the freshness of the fish, but that's an unprovable feeling. Then there was the side salad (mixed salad with citrus and dried fruit) that tasted like coarsely chopped, bagged salad from the supermarket. With water and a half bottle of white wine, we paid over €100 for two. Now, if you want to stay in that price range you have to raise the quality bar!

20/10/2025: Staff are friendly and it’s a nice ambiance, but the service is a bit clumsy and the food is not great. For some reason, the dessert was served before the main course, and both drinks were forgotten. The pizza was alright, though the “fritto misto” was not a good dish and we left most of it.

02/11/2025: Excellent, the fish is truly fresh, both raw and cooked. There's a wide selection of appetizers, but few first courses of the day (which I actually think is a good thing, meaning the ingredients they use are fresh and vary daily). What I enjoyed most were the truly delicious raw fish (even though they're served with casings, so be sure to remove them). The seafood salad was also noteworthy. The pappardelle with scampi was also delicious. The service was really fast, almost like an all-you-can-eat experience. The prices are fair for the quality. Highly recommended!

14/10/2025: This is a favorite of a friend who owns a beach house nearby. I only ate here once, but overall it was the best dinner on a recent 10 day trip to Rome and this area south of Rome and Latina. Very fresh seafood caught in local water prepared expertly. I had a stuffed grilled calamari and my wife had seared tuna. SO many interesting choices. Also non seafood options. We ate outside near the ancient Roman ruins that I believe predate the birth of Christ. The water recommended a Lambrusco, which was a new wine experience for me, paired extremely well with out food. We were there in October mid week which is very off season. I am told it is very busy in August.

12/10/2025: I went for lunch on Sunday with my mother. We had a wonderful time, treated with kindness and discretion by the staff. The food was excellent, with light but tasty toppings. The restaurant is just steps from the cathedral square and perfectly integrated into the historic and artistic context of Terracina. We'll be back.

18/09/2025: Tastefully decorated restaurant with decent food ranging from meat to fish, a well-stocked wine cellar, and friendly service, but all this doesn't justify the high prices for a location on Via Casilina with almost no parking. A fish first course (€19), a mixed grill of white meats (€25), a cover charge (€1.50), a water (€2.50), a glass of wine (€5), and a coffee (€1), which could have been offered for the modest sum of €54. 🤷🏻‍♂️

10/09/2025: Excellent first courses, both meat and fish. The pizza was thin and good. We didn't like the service, which was inattentive when taking orders and lacked empathy (note that the restaurant wasn't full at all, nor was the outside area. This wouldn't justify the lack of attention and empathy, but it would lead to a more "sympathetic" rating). I therefore recommend both the food and the location, but not the service, which still has considerable room for improvement.

18/07/2025: Trattoria dal carattere tipicamente familiare, cucina squisita, cortesia e simpatia: siamo stati davvero bene. Le alici marinate erano deliziose, così come gli involtini di zucchine e gamberi in pastella. Ottima anche la frittura. Non abbiamo preso primi piatti. Moderato Il conto. Consigliatissimo.

10/07/2025: Buon ristorante di pesce con buona qualità dei prodotti e gentilezza dello staff. Grande selezione di antipasti con un ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo, mentre i primi ed i secondi vanno parecchio su di prezzo, anche se di buona fattura. L'ideale, che poi è quello che fanno tutti, è prendersi 4/5 antipasti (sono porzioni abbondanti ) da condividere e magari dividersi un primo o un secondo. Cmq vale la pena.

28/09/2025: Worth the wait! We went on a Saturday night and had to wait 30 min for a table for 2. The calamari mixto and the Pulpo and were delicious!! The staff (Carmen, Pepe, & Alex) were super friendly!! One of my favorite meals in Gaeta.

22/09/2025: An experience you absolutely must try. A seafood restaurant just minutes from Cassino and the San Vittore highway exit, surrounded by greenery, an ideal location for ceremonies but also delightful for a simple lunch or dinner. In our case, we went for lunch and followed the owner's suggestion, a friendly and helpful man: a cooked and raw fish appetizer and a second course of first courses. There's little to say, the creativity with which the preparations are made is remarkable. It's not just about the plating, but also about the attention to detail and the search for that little "extra" that turns your expectations on their head: even an octopus and potato salad can be enjoyed in a unique way! As if the quality and freshness of the cooked and raw fish weren't enough, the desserts are also top-notch, despite the limited selection. The millefeuille with house Chantilly cream is a highlight, but the other dishes are equally as delicious. 5 stars without a doubt!
