01/09/2025: The tuna in the grilled fish dish was bitter, causing an immediate itch on my tongue, and a night in the bathroom. Luckily, I left half of it on my plate; I pointed it out to the waiter, who insisted on reassuring me that it was fresh. A terrible experience.

31/08/2025: A lovely family run restaurant. Service was very good considering how extremely busy they are. The food was very nice too, we've had the pleasure of eating here twice, and will be back for a 3rd time, before we head home to Australia. If you're in this part of Rome, I recommend a visit at least once.

25/08/2025: The only flaw for me is that they don't have draft beer.

24/08/2025: We stumbled upon this place by chance, our first time in Bolsena. The staff were friendly and punctual, and the wait time was minimal, despite the place being packed. We had the pizza, which was excellent. What can I say? I highly recommend it.

24/05/2025: Location molto bella, la vista che si gode dal giardino, terrazzo e anche dal ristorante è unica, come la proposta del menù, dove la tradizione è rivisitata con un tocco di avanguardia e sapori forti. Un posto scoperto grazie ai Social e che sicuramente ci vedrà presto, vale il viaggio, anche il servizio attento e la possibilità di portare il nostro cane ha aiutato a rendere l'esperienza molto gradevole.

05/04/2025: Torniamo sempre volentieri al ristorante La Perla e ogni volta emozioni diverse sia dal punto di vista culinario con piatti che esaltano il palato e gli occhi...ambiente elegante e sobrio con personale di sala sempre attento alle esigenze del cliente con cortesia e professionalità La presenza discreta degli chef Alberto e Edoardo è rassicurante e un punto fermo del ristorante. Questa sera ci hanno deliziato con piatti abilmente preparati e compresi nel nuovo menù di primavera, allego le foto.

28/08/2025: Motivated by a previous positive lunch experience a couple of years ago and the overall good reviews, we decided to dine there last night. Overall, it wasn't a positive experience, as everything we ordered was quite disappointing: - The bland appetizer consisted of 4 cold single portions and 5 hot ones, prepared in advance and then assembled, lacking in attention and flavors that were average. - Spaghetti with clams and lupini beans (€20) had a lot of sand. - Mixed grilled fish was salty, very salty, the fish and the cooking were done with little attention. The service is fine; the staff are quick and attentive. The restaurant gets a lot of people, packed on a Wednesday with about 60-70 seats, and will undoubtedly improve, even despite this review. However, I urge them to pay more attention to the food, which is truly disappointing considering the restaurant prices.

22/08/2025: We drove over half an hour specifically to try their lobster linguine, and I have to say it more than lived up to our expectations! The trio of tartares was also delicious. Fair prices and a fair bill.

30/08/2025: There's absolutely nothing bad to say about a restaurant like this, which presumably caters to a clientele that has no problem with their budget, but even if I were Scrooge McDuck, I'd write the same review: NOTHING in this experience justifies the price. The chef is fortunate to have access to the highest quality ingredients... and yet he managed to make us eat decently. It's one of those typical situations where you leave the restaurant and say, "Yes, it's good... but ultimately nothing special." The service is professional but perhaps a bit too ostentatious, while the setting is undoubtedly well-maintained and attentive to certain details, but it's definitely not jaw-dropping. In short, a dinner that will remain in our memories only for the unjustified bill.

23/08/2025: Beautiful dishes, but without soul. All seafood, but without the smell (let alone the taste) of the sea. Truly exorbitant prices. A monkfish main course cost €60, covered in the flavor of a useless and tasteless sauce. The dessert, also beautiful, had nothing sweet about it. Obviously, this is my personal opinion, because the restaurant was packed anyway, and booking was extremely difficult. The bill for four people was €560 (four appetizers, one first course, three second courses, two desserts). In the end, we were served pizza with mortadella...

08/09/2025: Always a guarantee. A typical trattoria-style restaurant serving home-cooked food, the food is truly delicious and well-cooked. The staff is friendly and helpful. I wrote this review two years ago and I stand by it. Unfortunately, I can no longer eat there. I can't contact them to make a reservation. We stopped by last Saturday evening, but unfortunately, it was closed even though it was supposed to be open according to the posted hours. It's unclear whether this business is still open or not.

04/09/2025: I'm a regular at this fantastic restaurant. It's a shame I haven't been able to book a table there since 2025! They don't answer the phone, or, on the very rare occasion that they do, they tell me it's fully booked! It would be great to go back... In the next life?

26/08/2025: A wonderful experience, with friendly and professional staff. The €40 menu was good and included many dishes. For €40, we had 10 courses of appetizers, two first courses, a sorbet, a second course, a side dish, dessert, and drinks included. I wasn't expecting much quality when I saw the set menu, but I was disappointed. The quality is superior to many restaurants in the area that offer €25 first courses, and €100 per person wouldn't be enough for the same menu. Recommended

23/06/2025: As always I am writing a very detailed review also because I really enjoyed this place. It was my birthday on 06.21.2025, and we went for lunch. We booked. We were greeted by the staff with great kindness and made to sit on the patio with a beautiful view of the sea, and lots of fresh air, the table was set very elegantly, as soon as the waiter arrived, very nice and kind, he took our order. I must say that everything arrived very quickly... we chose: spaghetti with clams, rating 8 with so many clams that the dish was huge, risotto with scampi cream, rating 9, seafood gnocchi, rating 8. Then we tried two different types of cod on the advice of the waiter, I must say both were excellent... I have never tasted cod in those two ways... served with elegance and beauty, because even the eye wants its part, rating for the two cod dishes 10!!!. My daughter preferred a nice plate of scampi... excellent rating 8. Then the final treat was the sorbet.... very special because GREEN APPLE SORBET.... EXQUISITE!!! NEVER TRIED BEFORE.. A GEMS OF THIS PLACE! and finally... we hadn't brought the cake... and the owner Stefania sent us a cake just for us with a dedication that I have to say was excellent, rating 9. In short, everything was perfect. Everything was excellent. I absolutely have to go back! You can't go wrong because you eat really well here. Thanks to all the staff!

15/06/2025: This place is incredible - from the atmosphere, to the staff, and the delicious food. We had the lobster sandwich, shrimp salad, and grilled calamari and each dish was meticulously prepared and was delicious. Outdoor seating is cozy. Would definitely recommend.

07/08/2025: I discovered this delightful place last night with my wife and had the fettuccine with porcini mushrooms, which, in my opinion, was the best I've ever eaten. I then decided to try the bruschetta with stracciatella and Pachino tomatoes, which was simply wonderful. My wife also gave an excellent review. She ordered the parmigiana pizza, which she was impressed not only with its deliciousness but also with its thin crust and easy to digest. The incredible thing is that yesterday the chef was missing, and the owner took over the cooking, to whom I personally congratulated him. I will definitely return to focus specifically on the meat, which everyone raves about so much. The only flaw that kept me from giving the atmosphere 5 stars is the mosquitoes.

18/06/2025: Fantastic pizza and bruschetta... Personally I'm more for the thick pizza but this is the first thin one that has thrilled me!

24/08/2025: Rome's restaurant scene is vast, and you can eat very well, both economically and for a quick bite to eat while you're exploring, or for a more leisurely, albeit more expensive, meal, just enjoying the experience. The downside is that most restaurants have tables very close together, often on the sidewalk, so people are constantly passing by you, or you feel like sardines in a can. That's why discovering Taverna Agàpe on our last night in Rome was wonderful. In a small square, you can see people passing by, but from a distance. The food is great, and they don't rush you, so you really enjoy the experience. But the best of all was the service, from all the staff, and especially from Giovanni, who was extremely attentive and friendly from the start. Bravo Giovanni! It's clear you love what you do and do it very well. Highly recommended. I hope to return someday.
