25/10/2025: We clearly came across the wrong night. Some dishes on the menu weren't available, like fried octopus, etc., and we hadn't been told about it beforehand. The appetizers were very poor and the portions were small: one tiny octopus tentacle and the tuna bacon was burnt and tasteless. The spaghetti with clams was good, but the desserts were mediocre: the crema catalana was mediocre, and the baba was dry and tasteless. All for the modest sum of €55 per person, including a bottle of wine. Let's hope for better luck next time.

06/11/2025: Caught a nice little moment — a bonus from the website (shown in the photo) came just in time. Decided to celebrate it with some seafood pasta. Didn’t spend it all, just felt like treating myself. The place was calm, the food was great.

06/11/2025: I've lived across the street from the restaurant for almost 30 years, and I've had several lunches and dinners there over the years. It's been 2-3 years since I've been back, and I think it's time to leave a short review. The restaurant still enjoys an excellent reputation, and the variety of food is equally impressive. The dishes are carefully prepared, and I can't say they skimped on quantity. I truly enjoyed my meal!

23/11/2025: Loved this little taverna. The food was excellent and a lovely bottle of wine recommended to match our food. We had stuffed nasturtium flowers, fresh pasta and then a fresh fish to share. The tiramusu was awesome. Excellent service will definitely go back.

22/11/2025: Not everything that shines is gold, Pasta undercooked, Pulpo overcooked, lamb was okay, risotto undercooked, and the amatriciana was not toasted. The score is because flavor-wise it was tasty and the service was okay too. But the execution on the dishes, for the price especially, was not perfect. Tiramisu did not even have savoiardi cookies! A crime.

16/11/2025: The service was very rude, distracted, and extremely slow. We received our entrees at 10:00 after being seated at 8:00. The atmosphere was elegant, but too many details were out of place for a place with these prices. The space was very cramped. The food was okay. The Valpolicella Ripasso was excellent. I won't be returning.

12/11/2025: What a gem! We couldn’t have been luckier to end up in this neighbourhood. Be aware that it’s very Italian. Menu. Waiter. And of course food. And all of the aforementioned is exactly why we are so happy. The food is really delicious. The service so friendly, welcoming and professional.

17/12/2025: Eggplant served with mold. I'm not posting the photo because it would really warrant a complaint. Unacceptable. Upon paying, after reporting the issue, I was told, "I didn't include the eggplant on your bill." The restaurant was empty and they tried to turn the evening around with us. I'll do you a favor by letting you know that all six of us emailed the relevant local health authority.

06/11/2025: I'll start by saying I've been to this place before and had a great meal, and this was a Halloween dinner with a set menu and a show. The second star is for the very nice show; otherwise, I would have given it one. The place is beautiful, the service good, but I understand the stress associated with the type of evening. The problem was the food; the appetizers were good (the flavor of the carpaccio, however, was overshadowed by the caramelized onions, but it was good). For the first course, paccheri with pumpkin cream, porcini mushrooms (nonexistent), and crispy guanciale (a tiny piece) were cold and completely raw, so much so that it was difficult to cut them (I eat my pasta al dente). Another first course, ravioli stuffed with oxtail stew and its sauce, seemed to be filled with boiled meat from days ago, and the sauce was a simple tomato sauce; there wasn't even a hint of real oxtail stew. For the second course, the pork tenderloin, honestly, seemed like a dish from an industrial cafeteria. I remain convinced that if I returned I would certainly eat well choosing from the à la carte menu, as far as dinners + shows are concerned it is better to leave it alone

23/10/2025: S-P-E-C-T-A-C-U-L-E!!! This perhaps gives you a good idea of ​​the experience we had during our wedding, starting from the day we decided to crown our dream within the walls of a 10th-century castle, through the rehearsals of the menu, and finally arriving at the fateful day, July 5, 2025. Francesco, along with the entire staff, took care of every detail, exceeding all (very high) expectations, from the welcome buffet to the aperitif in the hanging garden. The dinner was sublime, a mix of sophisticated but above all successful dishes and flavors. Francesco dictated the evening's pace magnificently, allowing us to savor every moment thanks to a complicity that made us feel at home. Finally, spending our wedding night in a room in the tower was the icing on the cake. Thank you.

15/12/2025: I had a disappointing dinner here and thank goodness we already had our pizza and wine across the street. The spaghetti vongole was extremely salty and underdone and served with clams that were cold! The fried battered fish was soggy. No oil offered with the cold breads. The seafood bowl was good but not enough to redeem a dismal dinner. If I spoke Italian I might have given my feedback but even if I did, this was not worth the effort. I wonder if the regular chefs were on winter break as I find it hard to imagine how this joint could reasonably operate otherwise.

30/11/2025: Highly recommended!!! The staff is friendly and fast. If you love seafood, this restaurant offers not only classic dishes but also a lot of originality. From appetizer to dessert, our palate was more than satisfied! We'll definitely be back ☺️

07/12/2025: The only downside is going to the store and not being able to pay with a debit card these days is truly absurd... I have no connection 🤦 there's an ATM outside.... and after I paid in cash I didn't even receive the receipt....

10/12/2025: Today I discovered this beautiful place where I stopped for lunch with my family and was pleasantly surprised and amazed by the quality of every single dish. We ate fresh fish cooked in full view, not to mention the fresh pasta handmade by the chef and the desserts, always made on site daily. In addition to the spectacular food, the owners were also very pleasant to be around, very welcoming and warm, as if we were at home. They are truly helpful and genuine people. I recommend it both for a quick lunch and for an event if you want to make a good impression. Their open kitchen is synonymous with transparency and quality. Thanks again for everything, I will gladly return even if I am not from the area.
