For a first experience, it was positive. Decent location, excellent service, and a good variety of dishes. The staff were courteous and helpful. Recommended.

Today, thanks to our friend S, we discovered this restaurant, outside the classic Castelli circuit but worthy of a lunch/dinner, and even more than once, for the care, the hospitality, the quality of the raw materials, and the love in what they do. Mauro, the owner, along with his father and all the staff, welcomed us graciously, and we sampled both meat, a fantastic tagliata, and fish, exquisite fried fish and octopus, as well as excellent and delicious seafood appetizers. A gem: the fried batter is fragrant and crispy and doesn't leave your fingers greasy, which is not a given! The mussel sauté with an amazing sauce, even for me who never eats them :) We will definitely be back and I really recommend stopping by, it's worth it. The prices match the quality of the dishes. Congratulations!

Il Gladiatore Restaurant, Lanuvio
We arrived at Il Gladiatore Restaurant drawn by the numerous positive reviews, especially regarding the seafood, and decided to book a table for two during our excursion to Lanuvio. From the moment we entered, we were greeted with an almost familiar warmth, a rare and very pleasant feeling.
The location is truly spectacular: perfectly integrated with the atmosphere of the ancient city, with interiors characterized by cyclopean walls made of large stone blocks that tell the story of the place. An immediately striking ambiance.
We began with the house appetizer, carefully explained by the waiter, accompanied by a truly excellent Roman pinsa, ideal for enhancing cured meats and cheeses. A special mention goes to the citrus and ginger jam, a surprising and delicious pairing with the cheeses.
For our first course, we chose tagliatelle with guanciale and fried Roman artichokes: a tasty, well-balanced, and very satisfying dish, accompanied by a glass of the house Bellone.
Already full, we decided to move straight to dessert. The two semifreddos—one pistachio and the other caramelized walnut—were impeccably presented, and the flavors lived up to expectations. To finish, a good coffee and their own limoncello, the perfect way to end the meal.
We were completely satisfied with the experience and promised to return to try their seafood specialties, which seem to be the restaurant's true strength.
Total cost: €74, absolutely in line with the quality and attention to detail of the dishes.
Highly recommended for those seeking a combination of good food, a warm welcome, and a unique atmosphere.

At "Gladiatore" we found a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful. Service was quick, but with appropriate pauses between courses. We celebrated my wife and daughter's birthday with delicious seafood dishes. We chose exquisite local wines, as recommended. The lady made an amazing cake with white chocolate cream dipped in orange juice and whipped cream, garnished with orange slices—so much so that we all asked for seconds! To finish, we had coffee and an excellent myrtle liqueur. Fair prices. Given the promise, we'll definitely be back to try the meat dishes! :)
