I had a wonderful experience here! The food was absolutely delicious and full of flavor, with plenty of different options to choose from. The variety made it easy to find something for everyone. On top of that, the prices were very reasonable, so you really get great value for your money. The staff were also very polite and welcoming, which made the visit even more enjoyable. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Mendù's rotisserie (I don't know if it's spelled that way) is a local gem. The blazing heat inside isn't particularly inviting, but don't be fooled... and if you find a long line outside, trust me, it's worth joining. The wide variety and quality of fried foods, fish, vegetables, first courses, second courses, and side dishes of every kind is truly top-notch. It's like eating at "mamma's" house, a delight, especially eating outside with a view of the CRAI (Italian National Railways), which is very romantic. Hahaha! The staff is knowledgeable, fast, and professional. With its quality and extremely affordable prices, "Lo Spiedo d'Oro" has become an institution for us, as well as a guarantee during these holidays. Takeout food. Friendly, smiling staff. Fresh, made-to-order food with a wide selection, from classic starters to meat or fish main courses. The potato croquettes and mixed fried fish are a must-try. Eat-in is also available.

13/04/2026: After months of wanting to try this restaurant, I finally went for a romantic dinner. Unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing, especially the service and the cold, disorganized location, which didn't quite match the culinary offerings we found superb. We'd reported a lactose intolerance for both of us about a week in advance, but this information was effectively ignored at the dinner table. The menu offered only one lactose-free option and there was very little willingness to adapt dishes (our requests were simple exclusions, not complex modifications). The most absurd moment was dessert: even though we knew we couldn't have them, we were still served a small, "free" pastry, specifying that it contained lactose. An incomprehensible gesture. It's a shame, because with a little more attention—even just preparing a simple alternative (e.g., dark chocolate)—the experience would have been completely different.
