Otherwise, a huge disappointment.
In a simple sentence: Unfair.
The menu has normal prices, then they offer you off-menu items (the prices of which you don't know), but what do you expect to be in line with the rest? Then the bill shows 23 euros for an appetizer: ONE... and I mean ONE... octopus tentacles cut into three pieces... as if it were a Michelin-starred restaurant.
Huge disappointment.
09/12/2025: The staff was active, well-organized, attentive, and kind. The food was excellent, the atmosphere very pleasant, the only flaw being that the tables were so close together that you could barely move.

Impeccable service, delicious food! Maybe a bit of a wait considering we were full, and at 1 pm, that's normal.

19/04/2026: This historic, very traditional restaurant is located in the city center. It's not a touristy spot, but every dish is meticulously prepared. I recommend the fried fish and the eel. The fried fish is dry, not greasy, and the batter is adequate, as is the noise level. It's also worth choosing for its value.

18/04/2026: A fry shop and delicatessen in the heart of Bosco di Mesola. We stopped in after visiting the Bosco for a quick bite. We were greeted by very friendly and helpful staff. We had spectacular fried fish, cooked to order. A wide selection of other items at the counter. Fair prices. Congratulations!
08/03/2026: We had a mixed fried fish for two, and it was truly delicious. It was made to order. They don't have a counter, but the fryer is always ready. It was crispy and flavorful, and truly delicious.
The owners are incredibly kind and helpful; they even offered us a portion of fries. We stopped in during a motorcycle ride, and we'll definitely do it again!

06/04/2026: I didn't like the service. I had booked on the veranda, assured that it would be closed, but it was open and cold.
The gratin wasn't the best, and the grilled shellfish—the lobster was overcooked.
I had to ask for tongs to open it; it was full of water inside. There were two of us, and they brought us a towel.
It was a disappointment for us.
05/04/2026: Some of the staff were a bit surly and unsmiling, except for one nice lady. Service was very slow, and portions were small, though good, but the prices were disproportionately high. Very noisy.

10/05/2026: Comacchio is very beautiful, and during this time of year on the weekend, finding a place to have lunch is a challenge. Almost resigned, as we headed to where we'd parked the car, we asked if we could stay for lunch. Even though it was 1:30 PM, not only was the service friendly and courteous, but we managed to finish lunch in a more than reasonable amount of time. Comacchio is famous for its eels, so we shared fried moeche (soft shells), delicious and tender, as an appetizer. Followed by spaghetti carbonara with smoked eel and strips of pasta with eel ragù. Everything was delicious, so much so that we could mop up the sauce. Generous portions. I highly recommend it.
09/05/2026: Excellent local dishes cooked with care. Excellent light and crispy mixed fried fish. The grilled octopus with fried leeks is noteworthy. The desserts are also excellent. Good quality/price. Only the atmosphere is a little cold, but only for our tastes, it's not an osteria.
