04/05/2026: To call it a trattoria would be an understatement; a top-notch restaurant both for the quality of the dishes and the service. They offer Prosecco and seafood appetizers, and the first courses are truly delicious (spaghetti allo scoglio) and unique (fusilli with anchovies, cauliflower, pecorino cheese, and raisins). The desserts are also very tasty, accompanied by complimentary sweets. Very friendly and professional service. A wonderful discovery.

21/04/2026: A secluded seafood trattoria, a gem near the historic center. Superior menu, simple but delicious dishes, and a good value. Highly recommended, always a sure thing!

15/07/2026: We found ourselves in front of Pepe Nero by pure chance. My 84-year-old aunt had just been hospitalized, and while searching for the nearest restaurant, we stumbled upon this establishment, which, at least from the outside, promised a welcome worthy of its name. The illusion, however, lasted only as long as we approached the entrance. Even before crossing the threshold, we were intercepted by a distinguished gentleman from another era who, with the authority of a butler charged with defending Buckingham Palace, informed us that the kitchen was having problems and that we couldn't be seated. It was just a shame that, through the windows, we could see customers calmly busy eating. Evidently, the kitchen was suffering from... selection problems. We were with our children, dressed simply as children, not as little princes of Monaco. Perhaps this was the decisive detail. After all, there are those who judge guests by their courtesy, and those who seem to prefer to judge them by their appearance. The funniest part is that, in the parking lot, my car was probably the most prestigious. But true elegance isn't about showing it off: it's about not needing to. It's a shame, because when I receive top-notch service, I love to reward it with a generous tip. This time, however, I'll take home just one curious anecdote to tell. A little piece of advice, with the utmost politeness: people should never be judged by their clothing, their car, or their first impression. True gentlemen have known this for centuries. Others, perhaps, still have a long way to go.

12/06/2026: Went last night with friends for a night out after a long time since I'd been back... and I think everything has really improved: excellent seafood cuisine, amazing desserts, very kind staff and owner. Refined, sober, welcoming.

17/05/2026: An honest trattoria in the center of Comacchio, one of only three places in the entire town with a wood-fired grill (from what we were told by the local shopkeepers). Home-style cooking, very well done. Vasco and Giulia take care of the kitchen and are very careful about choosing the right ingredients. The staff is friendly and makes you feel at home. Fresh fish is treated with respect. In the seafood appetizer, the cephalopods are steamed. The fried fish is fresh, plentiful, dry, and crispy. The grilled eel is truly delicious. The zuppa inglese deserves praise; the shape was a bit messy, but the flavor was perfect. The sponge cake is made by the owners' mother, who is in her nineties, and the recipe is the same as it used to be. I hope to return soon.

17/05/2026: Pizza molto buona ..... si sente proprio che è la pizza del ciclone.... consiglio anche i piatti a base di pesce...... inoltre sono sempre veloci e gentili ...... anche a casa la pizza del Ciclone è sempre ottima !

16/05/2026: Sunday lunch, reservations. My girlfriend and I sit at a table so close to the bathroom that (with all the commotion) I couldn't hear myself through the hand-drying device. I politely ask the waiter to move us because we couldn't even hear each other, and he snorts and asks very rudely. They seat me in front of the pizzeria, which would be fine despite being very close to the waiters' station where they stop to cut bread/make desserts, etc. If it weren't for the fact that we're sitting right next to the kitchen intercom. Every dish that came out was called over the intercom, and we were promptly deafened. For those reading this for the food, at least that's pretty good. If you go on a quieter day, you might have a better time, but I'm reviewing it for the rudeness and the disappointment of eating a good dish surrounded by incredible commotion. Had I not booked, I would have understood (more or less), but you know you'll be hosting two more customers. Try not to make your lunch break—which is a time for conviviality, pleasure, and relaxation—a moment of nervousness and discomfort. Maybe next time you won't, but I don't think I'll be coming again. Thank you and goodbye.

17/07/2026: I always stop by on my way back from the beach. The place is very nice, but unfortunately I have to say that today I had lunch and I wasn't satisfied. The appetizers were reduced to a single dish, hot and cold at the same time. Once they were abundant, carefully prepared, and above all, separated. The bowl of hot mussels overlapped the cold fish, and they were dry, and the tomato was overcooked. I told the waiter and he changed them for me. I hope they weren't recycled... anyway, then I reported it at the cashier, and the lady, who has always been polite, told me she had taken the chef back!!! What can I say? I had also spoken highly of it to friends, but today I was truly disappointed. I should add that the €14 daily menu isn't available to everyone, perhaps only to those who regularly frequent the place.

14/07/2026: We tried the lunch menu with three starters, main courses, and a choice of side dishes. Excellent value for a business lunch. The à la carte menu also offers a good fish menu for those with more time. Very friendly staff.

01/06/2026: We had one of the best pizzas. What struck me was that each pizza has a matching beer. I love beer, and I have to say, it's the best pairing, as far as I'm concerned. 16/05/2026: The waitresses are kind, and that's the only redeeming feature. The pizza was greasy, lightly topped, burned underneath, and terrible value for money. They put us in a corner outside near bags of dirt that smelled of manure. Plus, there were four of us; two pizzas arrived first, then they served people who arrived after us, and then the other two arrived... and we had to leave. My advice: stay away!
