The food is very different; the Gemstone has changed, perhaps, but in the past it was much better for a chip shop. Self-service. Prices are quite high for this type of restaurant.

I tried their grilled eel and it was delicious and crispy. The authentic atmosphere makes this fry shop a must-visit. Generous portions and fast service make it ideal for a stroll along the canals. Excellent value. Highly recommended for those seeking the authentic flavor of the lagoon!

Honestly, I expected more. It's good, yes, but there are better ones in the area. The first course was good, the fried food was a little bland. The service was lacking since you make everything yourself, but the girl who welcomed us was very nice. The place is nice and bright and spacious, the prices are okay, above average.

Beautiful, new, clean, and bright atmosphere on the Canal Port. - Excellent cuisine - You order at the cashier, then the disc delivered lets you know when the ordered menu is ready, prepared on the spot, and you collect the tray - Very reasonable prices. In general, 5 stars deserved. 2026 update: always top-notch, everything very fresh and prepared on the spot by the kitchen.

Fresh fish fryer.
We've been coming here for years, and everything is delicious. The mussels are Taranto-style, very tasty, and the fried fish is soft and flavorful. It's a 3-hour drive, but it's definitely worth it. They don't offer table service, but they do have a buzzer that rings when your dish is ready. The atmosphere is spacious. Recommended!

Welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff
We stopped for an aperitif with mixed fruit. Excellent. Not greasy. Perfect.
The spritz was also very good.

Went yesterday 4/3 parked the camper in front of the canal port of P Garibaldi (lunch in the camper) we had fried tufts and prawns, breaded sardines, chips and grilled eel if we wanted to be harsh perhaps the sardines were below expectations....but the rest? The eel was stratospheric then an explosion of flavour congratulations
