An honest trattoria in the center of Comacchio, one of only three places in the entire town with a wood-fired grill (from what we were told by the local shopkeepers).
Home-style cooking, very well done.
Vasco and Giulia take care of the kitchen and are very careful about choosing the right ingredients.
The staff is friendly and makes you feel at home.
Fresh fish is treated with respect.
In the seafood appetizer, the cephalopods are steamed.
The fried fish is fresh, plentiful, dry, and crispy.
The grilled eel is truly delicious.
The zuppa inglese deserves praise; the shape was a bit messy, but the flavor was perfect.
The sponge cake is made by the owners' mother, who is in her nineties, and the recipe is the same as it used to be.
I hope to return soon.

If you're looking for a family-friendly restaurant where you can enjoy traditional cuisine, then you've found the right place! The place is "old-fashioned" and everything harks back to the centuries-old history of eel fishing in this area. The scallops are sublime, and the grilled eel is unmissable. The price is fair (eel isn't cheap), and the staff (all women) are incredibly friendly!

Delicious food! We had the seafood risotto: tender and tasty shellfish, perfectly creamed rice, and a very well-balanced flavor. Then we had a portion of grilled eel with polenta, but we split it between the two of us because a portion is 500g of eel! This was also delicious and perfectly cooked. The dishes are freshly prepared, so the "first course" requires a bit of a wait. If you have enough... stomach capacity... you could have an appetizer while you wait. The desserts were also good. The table was carefully prepared. The service was fast and very friendly. Fair prices (I jokingly add that the coffee wasn't great).

This historic, very traditional restaurant is located in the city center. It's not a touristy spot, but every dish is meticulously prepared. I recommend the fried fish and the eel. The fried fish is dry, not greasy, and the batter is adequate, as is the noise level. It's also worth choosing for its value.
