I'll start by saying that I couldn't miss eating at Il Marinaio in the summer, but unfortunately, after this past Sunday, I don't think I'll ever set foot there again. The food was good, but the service was POOR!!! Too many seats and very few staff (under-qualified and stressed from overwork), the waiters were not at all friendly, they didn't even smile. We waited two hours for a mixed skewer and a boneless fried food, and when we asked, they seemed to be in a daze... At the end of lunch, we mentioned the small problem with the wait to Angelo (the owner), and unfortunately, I didn't expect this rude response from him...he told me, "You were lucky, usually you have to wait much longer for a second course"...he could have simply apologized. I'm sorry, I was VERY DISAPPOINTED... Now that they've expanded the summer season, in my humble opinion they've bitten off more than they can chew. If you increase the seating capacity, you'll have to increase the staff, and if you know it's hard to find staff, keep the seats you've always had...
