03/05/2026: Piadina... But certainly not Romagnola: you'd probably find a dough like this among the poorer brands in a supermarket. As an Emiliano Romagnolo, I can't remember such a poor piadina. If I hadn't seen the lady rolling the piada, I would have thought it was mass-produced. Now I understand why there was a line at the piadina stand across the street and not there. What a shame 😔

19/02/2026: We stopped on 02/14/2026 for an aperitif, 2 very simple spritzes for €24, I don't dare to think how much they'll ask in the middle of summer, terrible experience and we won't go there again.

09/02/2026: We came expecting carefully prepared dishes like those shown in the restaurant's photos, but what arrived was very different in presentation and quality. The dish was excessively oily, heavy, and unpleasant to eat. The plating was crude, and the result was far from what one would expect for the asking price. We ordered an appetizer that was later told it wasn't available. It was taken away and we were asked to change it, but instead of showing us the menu with alternatives, we were directly offered another dish for €10 more, with no prior transparency about the prices. This was an unfair choice towards the customer. I should point out that we were the only ones in the restaurant at the time, so the service cannot be justified by rushing or being overworked. The prices were decidedly disproportionate to the quality of the dishes served and the level of service received. I wouldn't return, nor would I recommend it.

08/05/2026: I highly recommend it!!!! The place is very small but intimate and very welcoming. The food is very good. Fish is their specialty, but they also have a meat-based menu. The rum baba is amazing!!!!!

25/04/2026: Terrible experience, bad food, I'll make it short, I won't come back, that's all... it would be better to listen to the customers a little without making excuses... I won't come back again... P.S. Those who work in the kitchen, like women with long hair, should wear a hair cap... I haven't seen any!

09/06/2026: Very nice place to eat dinner, as you have a great sunset filtering into the restaurant.. Even though you pay cover charge you don't even get and grissini or bread... Fair wait to eat, and some pizzas were wrong.. They offered to remake them but we didn't want to wait so jokingly they said to put some maionese on top, and you won't tell the difference, humorous i guess... I think it could be the worst pizza I have had, very crisp and dry and skimping on ingredient quantity... but that comes down to personal preference.

06/04/2026: We stumbled upon this restaurant somewhat by chance while walking. We waited a bit for the waiter to arrive, but despite this, both my husband and I were pleasantly surprised by the food and the quality of the fresh fish. The portions were generous, and the fish tasted truly delicious!

The entire restaurant staff is friendly and makes you feel right at home. Their strong points are definitely the prompt service and the authentic food. A must-try for those who haven't tried it yet!

18/05/2026: We went to Il Coloniale and were truly thrilled. The atmosphere is refined and very pleasant, the service is quick, and the staff is extremely friendly. We ate deliciously: everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and excellent value. A must-visit if you're in Cattolica!
